The fourth collaboration between fourth year undergraduate language students at the University of Edinburgh and local school pupils studying languages to Advanced Higher level in Scotland. In this issue, you'll find writing in Spanish, Chinese, French, Italian and German on the themes of Nature and Friendship. The content includes fiction and non-fiction pieces written by school-level learners with the support, guidance and knowledge of university students. Babble: The School Issue - 4 was published in March 2026 as a supplement to the 16th edition of Babble, the Creative Writing magazine for European Languages and Cultures at Edinburgh. The first School Issue was published in 2023 as a supplement to Babble’s 10th edition.
