Én is nagyon élveztem itt a 2017-es karácsonyi vásárt, s forgatagot. Kitzbühel a leglegendásabb téli üdülőparadicsom az Alpokban, nem véletlenül kapta meg a világ legjobb síközpontja címet már négy alkalommal is. Persze a hegyek és a sípálya mellett mással is fel tudja hívni magára a figyelmet a város. Ilyen például az ádventi rendezvény is. Karácsony előtt megkóstolhatók a tiroli ételkülönlegességek, érdemes felmenni a Hotel Rasmushofba, mindenképpen meg kell nézni a Hahnenkamm sílesikló pályát, el lehet látogatni a közeli Reith és Jochberg falvakba, amelyek nagyon vonzóak. 370 millió forint. Ennyibe kerül a földkerekség pillanatnyilag legdrágább luxusüdülése, igaz, nem vitás: életre szóló élményt ad a résztvevőknek. Már ha nem elkényelmesedett, puhány milliárdosok! A pénzért ugyanis nem kényelmes tengerparti luxushotelt, nem is világ körüli repülős túrát ajánlanak, hanem lovastúrát Kínába és Nyugat–Mongóliába, solymászattal és vadászattal fűszerezve. For all that money paid, you don`t get a comfortable beachfront luxury hotel, not even a world-class flying tour, but a hors d’oeuvre to China and West Mongolia spiced up with hawking and hunting. If not all that much, but you can spend a lot of money in Hungary too, in case you won the lottery.

Az őserdő hatalmas levelei alatt, tengeri kilátással – így ebédelhet egy igazi menő turista a Soneva Kiri Resorts Treepod éttermében. A kedves vendég még lent a földön beülhet a jó nagy bambuszkosárba, amit aztán 6 méter magasságba felhúznak (és persze a végén vissza is eresztik!). A pincéreknek természetesen nincs szárnyuk, ők akkor tálalnak fel mindent, amikor a vendég még a földön tartózkodik. Ha nyűgös a vendég, s percenként újabb dolgokat akar rendelni, akkor persze kénytelenek fel-alá rángatni a bambuszkosárban.

A Hallwyl kastély Svájc egyik legszebb vízi kastélya, amelynek festői épülete az Aabach folyó két szigetén helyezkedik el Aargau kantonban. Az 1925 óta látogatható kastély központját a 800 éves lakótorony alkotja, amelynek alapfala a hátsó szigeten található. A kastély az Aargau múzeum részeként működik. A múzeum gazdag anyagot felvonultató kiállítása az aargaui nemesi család, a Hallwylek életén keresztül mutatja be a vidék történetét a középkortól a modern korig. A Hallwyl kastély számos rendezvénynek is otthont ad a régi kézműves munkák bemutatásától a tematikus napokon, táncos estélyeken és szabadtéri mozielőadásokon át az operabemutatókig. A vízi kastélyban a természet és a kultúra tökéletes összhangja valósul meg. A programkínálatot a közeli Hallwyl-tóhoz vezető séta, a tó körüli túrázás vagy tavi hajózás egészíti ki.

AARGAU MUSEUM – VISIT THE HALLWYL WATER CASTLE!

Hallwyl Castle is one of the most important moated castles in Switzerland. It is located on two islands in the River Aabach, just north of the northern end of Lake Hallwil in the municipality of Seengen in the canton of Aargau. Since 1925, it has been open to the public, and since 1994 it has been owned by the canton of Aargau and is part of the museum of Aargau which shows the history of the aargau noble family from the middle age to the modern life. The tower of the castle is 800 yeras old, this is int he center of the castle. There are different very attractive events during the whole year int he castle and in it’s park: dancing shows, open air movies, opera performances are on stage. This is the perfect meeting of the nature and the culture. It is fine to have a walk around the Hallwy lake or make a boat trip ont he lake.

A Coeur d’Alene golfpálya (USA, Idaho) nagy kihívást jelent még a legkiválóbb játékosoknak is. A 14. lyuk egy lebegő szigeten található. Azok, akik sikeresen tudják megjátszani ezt a szakaszt, s felütik a labdájukat a kis greenre, egy hajóval tudnak átmenni a szigetre, hogy guríthassanak. Ez a világ egyik legszebb golflétesítménye.

Mint a legtöbb új őrület, a meztelen jóga is Amerikából indult hódító útjára. Nehéz arra gondolni, hogy vadidegenek között pucéran jógázzunk, de megéri levetkőzni a gátlásainkat. A csupasz testtel történő mozgásnak több előnye is van. Az óra alatt jobban megismered a tested, hiszen a különböző mozdulatoknak köszönhetően előfordulhat, hogy szembe találod magad a hátsó feleddel. Rájössz, hogy felesleges rástresszelned a testi hibáidra és megtanulod ellazítani magad. Azzal, hogy elfogadod a tested, növelheted az önbizalmadat is – szóval megéri ledobni a textilt és kilépni a komfortzónádból. Az meg csak plusz, hogy nem izzadsz bele a ruhádba és kevesebbet kell mosnod. Habár a meztelen jóga nem a szexről szól, segíthet felpezsdíteni a nemi életünket. A meztelen jógát itthon is kipróbálhatod. Koedukált csoportokban zajlik az oktatás, ezért készülj fel a másik nem jelenlétére is, ha meztelen jógára adod a fejed.

Like most new craze, naked yoga has started off conquering the world from America. It's hard to imagine doing yoga naked, among complete strangers, but it's worth getting rid of our inhibition. Moving the naked body has several advantages. During the lesson you will get to know your body better, as performing the various poses, you may find yourself facing your bottom. You'll realize, it`s pointless to stress about your physical imperfections and learn to relax. By accepting your body, you can increase your self-confidence - so you should drop textiles and step out your comfort zone. Additional benefit, you don`t sweat in your clothes, less laundry. Although naked yoga isn`t about sex, it can help stimulate our sex life. You can try naked yoga at home too. Education is organized in coeducated groups, so be prepared for the presence of the other sex if you give in to naked yoga.

EATING WHILE HANGING ON A TREE – IN THAILAND

Under the huge leaves of jungle trees, with sea sight – the way a cool tourist can dine in the restaurant of Soneva Kiri Resorts Treepod. The dear guest is asked to sit in the great big bamboo basket, which is then lifted to a height of 6 meters (and of course let down upon finishing!). The waiters, naturally, have no wings. They serve all the dishes while the guest is still on ground level. If the guest is moody and wants to order more and more every minute, the staff has no other choice than keep lifting the basket up and down.

Az összeget az olaszországi földrengések áldozatai számára ajánlotta fel a Ferrari. Az összeg azt jelenti, hogy ez az autó a 21. században készült legdrágább négykerekű. Egyébként a használtpiacon a sima LaFerrarik ára 800 millió-1 milliárd forint körül mozog. A Ferrari szerint kétszer annyi LaFerrarira lett volna kereslet, mint amennyit gyártottak. Azért is kelt el ilyen drágán az utolsó példány, mert ez volt az utolsó esély arra, hogy valaki újonnan ilyen autóhoz jusson. Az utolsó példányban egy plakett emlékezteti a sofőrt arra, hogy ez egy különleges autó, a széria utolsó legyártott példánya.

500th LaF auctioned off for charity, most expensive 21st Century car sold at auction Not so much a hybrid, as a V12 hypercar with a punch of electric nitrous. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the very last LaFerrari ever built - number 500 - and it has just sold for a whopping $7,000,000 at auction. That makes it, apparently, the most “valuable 21st Century automobile ever sold at auction”. You’ll recall that a few months ago, Ferrari boss Sergio Marchionne revealed his plans to build one final LaFerrari and offer it up for sale. This is that LaFerrari. The proceeds of will go to charity, which helps the reconstruction of central Italy following the devastating earthquakes earlier this year. So this is it. The last ever LaFerrari you could have actually bought straight from Maranello. It’s red, naturally, and gets a “white dream line” on the bonet and rear windscreen. There’s also a small Italian flag on the bonnet, along with a “one-of-a-kind” interior featuring a special commemorative plaque. What else do you need to know? That it of course houses a 6.3-litre V12, an electric motor for additional boost, 950bhp and over 663lb ft of torque, the ability to go from 0-62mph in 2.9s, 0-124mph in 6.9s, 0-186mph in 15s flat and top out at over 218mph. Portugália nemcsak a napimádók Mekkája, nem csak a tengeri fürdőzés lehet a cél, sok más remek programot ígér télen és tavasszal is. A főváros elképesztően hangulatos, de ne ragadjon le senki itt! Akik Lisszabonban járnak, azoknak például csodás kirándulási lehetőség elmenni Cascaisba, Estorilba, s Sintrába, ezek mindössze félórányi autóútra találhatók a fővárostól. Cascais és Estoril szinte összenőttek az idők folyamán. Cascaisban a történelmi központ, az öreg belváros, a világító torony, a Guincho beach a fő látnivaló. Estoril igazi programja talán csak az, hogy az ember kisétál a sziklás óceánparthoz és gyönyörködik a hatalmas hullámokban. Estoril partjáról naplementekor szép a kilátás Cascais fényeire. Estoril is nagyon elegáns üdülőhely. A múlt században uralkodott és bukott királyi, főnemesi családok imádott pihenőhelye volt. Kellemes az éghajlat, a város évente kétszer borul virágba. A sok-sok patinás, 19. század végén épült villában és hotelben az arisztokrácia intenzív társasági életet élt, s él ma is. Itt van Európa egyik legnagyobb kaszinója, mulatóval és éttermekkel. S akkor következzen Sintra! Már a Sintrába vezető út is csodálatos, persze akkor, ha nem az autósztrádát választjuk, hanem Cascais felől, a tengerparthoz közeli szerpentineken megyünk fel a hegytetőn lévő kisvárosba, elhaladva a Cabo de Roca mellett, ami a kontinens legnyugatibb szeglete, sziklaorma. Itt érdemes megállni s egy kicsit gyönyörködni a vadregényes tengerparti tájban. Felérve Sintrába rögtön tapasztalhatjuk, hogy egy kis ékszerdobozról van szó. De még ennél is nagyobb élmény a hegytetőn lévő Pena palota, s a kertje. Sintra tulajdonképpen egy gránithegyen található. A különleges mikroklímája miatt a királyi udvar arisztokratái alkották meg Sintrát, építették pénz nem számít alapon a palotákat, nyári rezidenciákat, kerteket, telepítették az erdőt a mór megszállást követően. A parkok, valamint a csodás épületek, mint a Monserrat, a Pena Palota, a mór vár, s d’Edla grófné nyaralója a fantasztikus kerttel Európa egyik legcsodásabb tájképét alkotja így egybefüggően. ■ 8 • 2017 T él /Winter

Portugal is not only the Mecca of Sun and see-lovers, but also offers many other great activities in the winter and spring. The capital is astonishingly charming, but don`t limit your holiday time to Lisbon. Take a trip to Cascais, Estoril and Sintra, only half an hour drive from the capital. Cascais and Estoril grew closer to each other over time, for now, they are almost united. The main attractions in Cascais are the historic centre, the old downtown, the light tower and Guincho beach. In Estoril, walk down to the rocky see side and admire the giant waves. We can gaze at Cascais romantic lights at sunset. Estoril is also a luxury resort. It used to be the holiday place of royal and noble families, ruled and fallen in the last century. The climate is pleasant, the city burst into flower twice a year. In the many patinas villas and hotels, built in the late 19th century, the aristocracy has lived an intense social life and, so it does to this day. Here is one of Europe's largest casinos, with pubs and restaurants.

Let’s talk about Sintra now. The road leading to the town is wonderful, of course, if we don`t choose the motorway, but instead, drive near the beach from Cascais, up the hilltop, passing Cabo de Roca, which is the westernmost corner of the continent. You should stop here and have a delight in the scenic coastal scenery. Getting to Sintra, we can immediately determine that it`s a small gem. But the Pena palace on the hilltop and it`s garden provides the best buzz. Sintra is located on a granite mountain. Because of its special microclimate, the aristocrats of the royal court started to build on the hilltop after the Moorish invasion. Money didn`t matter, summer residences, gardens were built, and forests were planted. The parks and beautiful buildings, such as Monserrat, Pena Palace, Moorish Castle, and Count D'Edla's holiday house with a fantastic garden, make this area one of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe. ■

Tengernyi élmény a portugál fővárosban! Lots of buzz in the Portuguese capital! Ha a legfontosabb látnivalókat szeretnénk megnézni, arra két napot érdemes szánni. Íme, az a pár hely és látnivaló, amit mindenképpen érdemes felkeresnünk. A Szent Jeromos-kolostor, ami Vasco da Gamának és India felfedezésének állít emléket. A Fado Múzeum, amely a kellemesen melankólikus portugál zenei műfajnak állít emléket. A híres lisszaboni bolhapiac – Feira da Ladra. Már a 12. század óta a város legnagyobb bolhapiaca. Minden kedden és szombaton reggeltől estig tart. Alfama Lisszabon legidősebb és legtörténelmibb negyede, a fado zene szülőhelye. Belém a Tejo folyó partján fekvő negyed, ami a leginkább arról híres, hogy a nagy felfedezők innen indultak útra a nagyvilágba, például Vasco da Gama is. Bairro Alto – a bárnegyed 250 bárnak ad otthont. Castelo São Jorge – Szent György vár, a város legmagasabb dombján fekszik, aminek tornyai már a 9. század óta őrzik a várost. A lisszaboni 28-as villamos, amely „körbejár” az Alfama negyedben, majd a Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto és Estrela következik. ■

A fekete férfi elütőtől a pálya hossza 6372 méter) ma a világ 55. legjobb golflétesítménye a Golf Magazine 2017- es Top 100 listája alapján, s Portugáliában az No. 1. Úgy alakították ki a pálya nyomvonalát, hogy megőrizzék a dűnék ökoszisztémáját, s ennek is köszönheti a klub, hogy Európában elsőként, s a világon pedig másodikként elnyerte az Audubon International által adományozott Gold Signature Sanctuary státuszt, amely a természetvédelem jelenlegi legmagasabb szintű díja. A 18 szakasz végig elképesztően gyönyörű panorámát biztosít az Atlanti-óceánra és Sintra hegyeire. De a tulajdonos Miguel Champalimaud másként gondolta, s tett is érte, aminek az lett az eredménye, hogy 2011-ben már a 68.-ként jegyezték a pályát. 15 változtatás történt a szakaszokon: a 7. és a 9. elütő helyet megújították, a 10. lyukon áthelyezték a homokcsapdát, s még sorolhatnám tovább a módosításokat. Paul McGinley, three-time Member of Winning Ryder Cup Team said in an interview: “This has the potential to be the best course in Europe”. Yes, of course. When Oitavos Dunes was recognized in 2009 as # 88 in GOLF Magazine’s TOP 100 Courses in the World few could have imagined that the course had room for improvement. This was not the view of the owner, Miguel Champalimaud, and his course was moving up the list of the greatest courses in the World. On September 2011 Oitavos Dunes jumped 20 places up the list to be considered the 68th best course in the world and the second best in mainland Europe. The recognition was a result of 15 minor changes to the course, including new tees on holes 7 and 9, and the placement of sand dunes in strategic holes such as the 10th. A durresi tengerparton a legjobb szálloda az Adriatik Hotel, amely csak 5 km-re található a városközponttól. Durresben, a plázs melletti autóúton mentünk, s feltűnt, hogy milyen szépen kiépítették a környéket, rendezett, tiszta sétányon jöttek-mentek az emberek, egymást érték a kisebb nagyobb szállodák, kávézók, butokok, boltok, cukrászdák. This 5-star hotel is housed in a Luxury Hotrel, opened in 1957 from the Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha, who planned thst Luxury Hotel to host diplomats, celebrities and

lójára, impozáns látvány fogadott. Hatalmas, őrrel és sorompóval védett parkoló tárult elénk, magas pálmafák, s a csodás két tornyos, pasztellsárga színű, 5 emeletes épület. Ahogy kicsit beljebb értünk, már mediterrán hangulatban éreztük magunkat, megpillantva a hatalmas medencét a piros óriás csúszdával, s a kör alakú Pool-bárral, valamint a gyermekpancsolóval. Nemcsak a szokásos műanyagból készült napozóágyak, hanem baldahinos díványok is sorakoztak a medence partján. Itt november végéig lehet napozni, s már márciusban is barnulhat a turista, de a 3 téli hónapban is tavaszias az idő, ez a kirándulóknak kedvez. Márpedig Albániában rengeteg a látnivaló. Az Adriatik hotelben a medencéktől nem messze, pálmafák gyűrűjében teniszpálya várja a vendégeket, ezzel átellenben pedig a virágos kertben egy szép szökőkút nyújt látványosságot. Belépve a hallba csodás látvány fogadja a vendégeket. Gyönyörű márvány minden, s a recepcióhoz érve már kilátni a tengerpartra is, ahol a szálloda saját strandján szépen, rendezetten állnak a napernyők, meg a napozóágyak. Az első, ami feltűnt a hotel halljában, a parfümillat, s a recepciósok kedvessége. Azonnal hellyel kínáltak a piros, kényelmes kanapékon, s még körülnézni sem nagyon volt időnk, már kész volt a becsekkolás, s mehettünk a szobánkba. Pedig volt mit nézni a hall melletti kávézóban, illetve a spa irányába vezető folyóson, ahol egy kis ajándékboltot, s az Adriatik Tours utazási ügynökség irodáját kialakították. A hallban a falakon a 19. századi albán fotóriporter, Kel Marubi művészi képeit nézhettük meg.

Az első emeleten executive szobát kaptunk, hatalmas saját terasszal, kényelmes franciaággyal, kis társalgóval, s márvány fürdőszobával, amelybe pezsgőkádat is beépítettek. Jól látható volt, hogy frissen renoválták a szállót 2017 tavaszán, nyarán, minden ragyogott. A falra felkasírozott albán turisztikai látványosság képe különösen feldobta a tágas szobát. A teraszról néztük a széles, homokos tengerparton zajló nyüzsgő életet, majd később a naplementét – minden nap. Annyira jól éreztük magunkat a hotelben, hogy nem is vágytunk el innen, az Iliria étteremben elfogyasztott bőséges büféreggeli után a tengerparton heverésztünk, a beach bárból koktélokat rendeltünk, a Queen Teuta Spaban, ahol sokféle kozmetikai és köröm kezelés rendelhető, masszíroztattunk. Az ebédet és a vacsorát a hotel Apollonia éttermében fogyasztottuk el, mert itt Albánia-szerte híresen jól főznek, gourmet gasztronómiával várják a vendégeket, legyen az tradicionális albán konyha, vagy beszéljünk halételekről, de még ázsiai fogásokat is lehet rendelni, hiszen Malajziából érkezett az executiv séf, aki korábban 5 csillagos hotelekben dolgozott. Az étterem borválasztékáról külön kell szólni, egy hatalmas falon csak borok vannak kihelyezve, ezekből könnyen lehet választani, akár helyi borokat, vagy olasz, s francia különlegességeket.

Chairs of States from around the world here for almost 35 years. The beautifully totally reconstructed and restored beach resort is a true gem of hospitality, with beautiful view of the Adria. The Staff of Jet Set magazine recently spent 4 days in Durres at the Adriatic Hotel to present it to our readers. We rented a car at the Tirana airport, and reached Durres in 25 minutes. The

airport is brand new and car rental at Hertz was quick and easy. The first pleasant surprise was the good state of the roads, there was a motorway from the airport almost all the way to Durres. In Durres, we drove on the road next to the beach, and we could clearly see how nice the neighbourhood was. People walked on a clean and tidy promenade, one hotel after another, cafés, shops, confectioneries. On the promenade a huge billboard advertised the Adriatic Hotel, so it was easy to find. The sight was already impressive as we approached the parking lot. Huge, guarded parking lot, tall palm trees, and the wonderful pastel yellow 5-storey building with two towers. We already had the Mediterranean feeling as walked a little bit further in, seeing the huge pool with red giant waterslide, circular pool bar and the children’s paddling pool. Not only ordinary plastic sun beds, but also canopy couches were lined up by the pool. Tourists can sunbathe until the end of November here, from March, but the 3 winter months are like Mid-European spring, which is ideal for adventure and affordable Luxury hotel seekers. And there is plenty to see in Albania. In the Adriatic Hotel, not far from the pool a tennis court in a ring of palm trees awaits guests, across from that, a beautiful fountain in the flower garden. Entering the hall, a wonderful sight welcomes guests. Everything made of beautiful marble, while reaching the reception area we can see the hotels private beach, with nicely lined up umbrellas and sun loungers.

The first thing we noticed in the lobby of the hotel, the scent of perfume and the kindness of the receptionists. They offered us a spot on the red, comfortable couch, and we didn`t even had time to look around properly, the check in was instantly done and we 2017 T él /Winter • 19

could go to our room. There was a lot to see in the coffee shop besides the hall, and the corridor leading to the spa area, with a souvenir shop and the Adriatik Tours travel agency. At the Lobby hall we were impressed admiring the exhibition of the artistic photographs, made by the distinguished 19th century Albanian phorographer, Kel Marubi. On the first floor we got an executive room with huge private terrace, comfortable double bed, small lounge and marble bathroom with jacuzzi. It was clearly visible that the hotel was freshly renovated spring 2017, everything glittered. The images of the Albanian tourist attractions painted on the wall added to the good energy and atmosphere of the spacious room. Everything inside this beautiful hotel speaks Albanian. We watched the teeming life on the broad sandy beach, and later the sunset from the balcony - every day. We felt so good in the hotel that we didn`t even want to leave here. After the plentiful buffet breakfast in the Illyria Restaurant, we laid on the beach, ordering cocktails from the bar, and got massages at the Queen Teuta Spa, where a wide variety of cosmetics and nail treatments are available. Lunch and dinner were served in the hotel’s Apollonia restaurant, because the food here is well-known throughout Albania, everything is gourmet quality, whether it’s traditional Albanian cuisine or fish dishes, but even Asian dishes can be ordered as the experienced 5 star Luxury Hotel Executive Chef was brought here from Malaysia. Amit nem szabad kihagyni, az a Bunk’art, a Dajti-hegy gyomrában épült bunker-rendszer. 1978-ban avatták fel, 5 szintes, 100 méterrel van a föld alatt, 106 szobája van, s egy nagy színházterme, Enver Hodzsa diktátor és Mehmet Shehu miniszterelnök védelmére készült. 2014 novemberében nyitották meg a nagyközönségnek. A központban az Enver Hodzsa emlékmúzeum piramisszerű épülete ma a Nemzetközi Kulturális Központ. A Szkander bég tér az Óratornyáról és a tér közepén magasodó Szkander bég lovas szoborról könnyen azonosítható. Not many know, how much beauty Albania can offer for tourists. The smartest thing to do is rent a room in Durres, at the Adriatik hotel. Durres was founded by Greek settlers, and was dedicated to Venus. The local museums are still filled with pictures of the Goddess of Love. The Roman amphitheatre, that dates to the 2nd century and its decorative mosaic chapel under the auditorium are world famous. The 5-star Adriatik Hotel is not only a great place to stay at, but the Adriatik Tours also operates here. The travel agency organizes personalized excursions for tourists. The hotel offers transfer from the airport, and after that, the guest can discover the spectacles with a private chauffeur and tour guide. The staff of Jet Set Magazine did exactly this, and gained very positive impressions about the land of Scanderbeg and Mother Theresa. The Albanian capital is a great example of the miracles that people can do with a bucket of paint - for tourists ... The grey communist bloc houses are now floating in rainbow colours orange- with red stripes, pink- with purple circles or colourful cubes are painted on the house walls - to improve the city’s image. There are plenty of bars and clubs in the Muslim city. Its atmosphere is a bit oriental, a bit Italian, but mostly post-communist. The Bunk ‘art can`t be missed, a bunker system built inside of Dajti Hill. It was first opened in 1978, 5 storeys, 100 meters below ground, has 106 rooms, and a huge Theatre. It was built for the protection of Enver Hoxha dictator and Prime Minister Mehmet Shehu. Opened in November 2014 to the public. The centre is the pyramid-like building of the Enver Hoxha Memorial Museum, today the International Cultural Centre. The Scanderbeg Square is easily identified from the Clock Tower and the Scanderbeg Horse Statue, which is in the middle of the square.

Nevezetessége az illír időkben már álló, de jellegében középkoriasan fennmaradt Rozafa vára. Építéséhez Kőmíves Kelemen történetéhez hasonló legenda kötődik: a várfalakat felhúzó három testvérnek be kellett falaznia a legkisebbik feleségét, Rozafát, hogy amit nappal felépítettek, éjszaka le ne omoljon... A várhegy tetejéről három folyó találkozásában gyönyörködhettünk, az aljának érdekessége a kétszáz éves bazár és a különös formájú Ólom-mecset volt. Az albán fejedelem és nemzeti hős, Szkander bég (Kasztrióta György) várának meglátogatása is némileg magyar vonatkozású. Ez Krujában van, Tiranától 20 percre autóval – egy meredek hegytetőn. A Balkánon az Oszmán Birodalom terjeszkedését megállító Szkander bég egyetlen szövetségese Hunyadi János volt. A 20.000 lakosú albán városka történeti emlékei a szinte teljes hosszában bejárható középkori várfalmaradványok és a 20. században felújított citadella, valamint a 19. századi, szűk sikátoros bazár, amelyben egymást érik a boltok. (Sajnos, mind ugyanazt árulják.) Érdekességként megemlítendő, hogy a Szkander bég múzeumának helyet adó citadella felújítási tervei Enver Hodzsa leánya, az építész Pranvera nevéhez fűződik. A várból a panoráma csodálatos. Az Adriatik Tours ajánlatában szerepelt Szkander bég nővérének sziklavára is, a Petrela-kastély. Ez sincs messze Tiranától, úgy fél óra autóval. A kastélyt a törökök ellen Szkander bég nővére védte, ma már csak rom, de nagyon ötletesen éttermet alakítottak ki belőle úgy, hogy a bástyájára faépületet húztak. A kocsival elég messze, a turistáknak kialakított parkolóban kell leállni, s innen meredek köves út vezet fel a kastélyba, de megéri felmászni. A kilátás elképesztően szép, s innen megtekinthetők az albán újgazdagok hegyoldalba épített palotái, villái is.

The Adriatik Tours first recommended „country” excursion was Shkodra city, 120 km from the coast, on the shore of Albania`s largest lake. Shkodra Lake is a rich waterfowl reserve, one of the last pelican communities of the continent lives here. Its icon is the castle of Rozafa, which already stood in Illyrian times, but can be seen today in a middle age stance. To the construction has a similar legend as Kőmíves Kelemen`s story: the three brothers building the castle walls had to wallow the youngest brother`s wife, Rozafa, so what they had built in the daytime, not won`t collapse at night... We can admire the merge of three rivers from the top of the castle hill. There`s a 200 years old emporium and an odd shaped Lead Mosque at the bottom of the castle. Visit of the castle of the Albanian prince and national hero Scanderbeg (György Kasztrióta) has Hungarian aspects. It`s in Kruje, 20 minutes’ drive from Tirana – on a steep hilltop. On the Balkans, the only ally of the Scanderbeg that had stopped the expansion of the Ottoman Empire was János Hunyadi. The historic memories of the 20,000-inhabited Albanian town are the medieval castle fortresses and the restored citadel in the 20th century, as well as the narrow alleyway of the 19th century, in which there are plenty of shops. (Unfortunately, they all offer the same products). It is an interesting fact, that the plans for the renovation of the Citadel, that houses the Skanderbeg Museum, were made by the architect Pranvera, daughter of Enver Hoxha. The panorama from the castle is wonderful. The castle of Petrela, Scanderbeg`s sister`s rock castle, was also recommended by the Adriatik Tours. It’s not far from Tirana, about a half an hour away by car. The castle was defended by Skanderbeg’s sister against the Turks. Nowadays it is only a ruin, but it was an innovative idea to build a restaurant here, by 2017 T él /Winter • 23

A tehetős albánok természetesen a tengerpartot is kedvelik. A várhegy oldalában, a Mangalem városnegyedben egymásra épült, fehérre meszelt, sokablakos házainak köszönhetően azon albán városok közé tartozik, ahol a kommunista időszak városrombolásait követően is érezni a történelmi levegőt. Egészen délen, már a görög Korfu szigetével (légvonalban 5 km) szemben található Saranda, ahol valóban olyan a kék víz színe, mint a képeslapokon, mert a Jón-tenger partja itt már köves-kavicsos. Sarandától egy kőhajításnyira van Butrint, a romépületei az elmúlt kétezer év valamennyi korszakát megidézik. Még a mai napig is folyik a feltárás. Butrint várában múzeum is található, ahol a feltárások során előkerült pénzérmék, használati eszközök mellett ókori bölcselkedők szobrai is kiállításra kerültek. Butrint, a romvárost a csodás Butrinti-tó veszi körül. Az Adriatik Tours szakemberei gondolnak a túrák során a minőségi gasztronómiára is. Hadd említsünk meg néhány kiváló éttermet, amit végigkóstolhattunk a kirándulásaink során. The view is incredibly beautiful, and from here you can see the villas and palaces of nouveau rich Albanians on the hillside. The prosperous Albanians love the beach, naturally. The tour guide of the Adriatik Tours has introduced us to the exclusive villa park of Lalzit Bay, where the leading Albanian politicians spend their holidays. The houses are beautiful, the beach is sandy, and very wide, and you can eat delicious fishes and crabs in many restaurants. Owners of the Adriatik Tours, the Dudaj couple have recently bought a huge land where they plan to build a resort, villa park and hotel. In the south, Vlora is one of the most popular holiday paradise in Albania. Berat, north of Vlora, „the city of a thousand windows”, one of the oldest settlements in Albania, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The picturesque town was built on the right bank of the river Osum, in a valley of limestone rocks. Because of the white washed small houses, with lot of windows at the side of the castle rock, in the Mangalem neighbourhood, it is one of the Albanian towns you can still feel the historic atmosphere regards the communist period destructive nature. In the far south, close to the island Corfu (5km away), is Saranda, where the colour of water is as blue as you can see on postcards, because the Ionian Sea coast is rocky here. Butrint is only a stone’s throw away from Saranda, and its ruins allude all the ages of the last two thousand years. The exploration is still ongoing. There is also a museum in the castle of Butrint, where the coins and tools of the excavations were discovered, and the sculptures of ancient philosophers were also exhibited. Butrint is surrounded by the beautiful Butrinti lake. The specialists of Adriatik Tours don`t forget about gastronomic experiences either. Let us name some of the excellent restaurants that we were lucky to enjoy on our journeys. Túrát tehetünk innen az 1298 méter tengerszint feletti magasságban található, 85 méter magas Sintersbacher-vízeséshez. Visszatérve a Fekete-tótól Kitzbühelbe, az öreg belvárosban érdemes egy kicsit időzni. Olyan hangulata van a belvárosnak, amilyet nehéz lenne máshol találni. Főleg advent idején, amikor karácsonyi vásárt rendeznek. A Jet Set stábja 2017. december 1-én járt itt, amikor már feldíszítették a csodás fényekkel a várost, amikor az utcákon a kis pavilonokban mérték a forralt bort, a puncsot, s az idei év slágerét, a málnás rozé melegbort. Három csodás templom is van a városban, a Katarina templom advent idején minden este 8 órakor speciális harangjátékkal kedveskedik a látogatóknak. Akik a szerencséjüket „kergetik”, azok elcsábulhatnak Kitzbühel kaszinójában, esténként meg is telik ez a szórakozóhely. Aki sok pénzt nyer, az rögtön el is költheti a városban, hiszen itt egymást

Alpenhaus is on 1669 meters high, and there are many ski runs available from here too. From all over the mountain, the Black Lake is visible. The idyllic lake is 8 hectares large and 8 meters deep, the warmest and most beautiful lake of the Alps. Due to its mud content, the lake’s water is beneficial for health. The lake is a city side resort: fishing, boating, bathing in the summer, a walk around the lake in winter. Kitzbühel is a 30 minutes’ walk from here. In the black water of the lake, the Kaisergebirge reflects. Photographs made here at the sunshine look like a poster or postcard. We can take a trip from here to the 85 meters high Sintersbacher Falls, 1298 meters above sea level. Returning from the Black Lake to Kitzbühel, it’s worth to spend a little while in the old downtown. There is such a special atmosphere in the city center, that is hard to find elsewhere. Especially at advent time when the Christmas market is on. The Jet Set staff has been here on December 1, 2017, when the city was already beautifully decorated with wonderful Christmas lights, and hot mulled wine, punch, and this year’s favorite, hot raspberry rose wine was served from little pavilions on the street.

TIROL/Tyrol érik a luxusbutikok, a Louis Vuitton, a Rolex, a Swarowski, s még sorolhatnám. Kitzbühelben 8400 lakos van, de a téli szezon kezdetétől, ami december 20-a megsokszorozódik a nép. Özönlik ide a sok turista. A nagy szállodák általában december közepén nyitnak, s karácsonyra már mindegyik teltházzal üzemel. Kitzbüheltől pár kilométerre található Jochberg falu, itt épült fel Tirol egyik legluxusabb hotelje, a Kempinski das Tirol. Those who “chase” their fortune can indulge in Kitzbühel’s casino, which is full every night. Whoever wins big cash, can spend it right away in the city, in luxurious boutiques, such as Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Swarovski and so on. Kitzbühel has 8400 inhabitants, but from the start of the winter season, which is December 20, the amount of people multiply. A lot of tourists come here. Large hotels open in mid-December, and for Christmastime they are full house. The village of Jochberg, a few kilometers from Kitzbühel, is home to one of Tyrol’s most luxurious hotels, the Kempinski das Tirol. It is worth to visit this luxurious hotel even if someone does not reside here, because the hotel has excellent restaurants and bars. Előitalnak Zöld Veltelínit kínáltak, majd a csirkéhez dél-tiroli Szürkebarát-Chardonnay-Sauvignon Blanc cuvéet, a vaddisznóhoz Burgenland leghíresebb borászának az italát hozták, a vörös, testes PÖTL Zweigeltet, s a desszerthez egy lágyabb Merlot-t kaptunk.

Wirtshaus Steuerberg - Tyrol's top gastronomy! The most popular restaurant in Kitzbühel is the Wirtshaus Steuerberg restaurant near the Black Lake, located in a wonderful alpine setting, and from the balcony, the 1996 m high Kitzbüheler Horn is visible. Martina, Alois and Jürgen are the three owners who can proudly report, that their restaurant is full of guests during lunchtime, between mealtimes, dinnertime and evening. They can make at least 4 seating a day and service 120 people at the time. The Jet Set magazine staff dined here on the first advent day of the 2017 too, and not only the romantic landscape fascinated us, but also the famous Tyrolean hospitality of the owners, the dishes served, and the excellent Austrian wines. Although the menu features international delicacies such as Angus beef and calf too, but we craved the Tyrolean gastronomy. We started with a trotter soup, spiced up with grated horse-radish. After that we got bio chicken schnitzel with blueberry jam and Austrian potato salad, followed by wild pig stew with red cabbage and polenta. As dessert, we got kaiserschmarren with vanilla ice cream and homemade plum compote. Green Velteliner was served pre-meal, and then South Tyrolean Pinot Gris-Chardonnay-Sauvignon Blanc cuvée to compliment the chicken, and Burgenland's most famous winemaker`s drink, the red, full-bodied PÖTL Zweigelt with the stew. We got a softer Merlot for dessert. It is no overstatement to say, the experience was a symphony of flavors. Important to mention: the “apostolic table” is in the center of the restaurant, made for a 16-20-person company. This is the most popular table in the restaurant. As Martina told us, they used to have a restaurant on the Hahnenkamm mountain peak, and many regular guests followed them to the Wirtshaus Steuerberg, the this October 2017 opened restaurant quickly became popular among foreigners too, as high-end cuisine is accompanied by moderate prices.

The history of the USA has been shaped here since the establishment of the first colonists. Starting from the War of Independence, through the fights of the Civil War, to the 60’s civil rights struggles, the events were always controlled from here. The British colonists settled in the rich area of the Chesapeake Bay at the beginning of the seventeenth century. They hoped to find gold, but tobacco made them rich. Virginia was the first settlement and the most populous one. However, more than half of its inhabitants were made up by slaves from Africa brought here to harvest the “pernicious weed”, the tobacco. Despite its central location on the east coast, almost the entire region is under the Mason-Dixon Line. The rarely inhabited, Appalachian Mountains with huge forest makes up the western part of the state. The eastern part is a large population, flat area, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay, where local beaches are rich in entertainment. Az agárversenyek Nagy-Britanniában és Írországban a legnépszerűbbek, de szeretik az Egyesült Államokban is. Hazánkban nem örvend nagy népszerűségnek, bár nálunk is tartanak néha viadalokat a Kincsem Parkban Budapesten, illetve vidéken is, s az internetes fogadási honlapokon vannak, akik követik a nagy eseményeket és tesznek téteket. A Jet Set magazin stábja nemrégiben az észak-ír fővároshoz, Belfasthoz közeli Lisburn településen járt, a Drumbo Park agárstadionban, ahol nagyszabású eseményen vett részt, 12 futammal. Hogy milyen népszerű itt az agárfuttatás, azt mutatja, hogy gyakorlatilag csak elővételben lehet venni vacsorázási lehetőséggel egybekötött belépőt a fedett teraszra, ahonnan panorámaablakokon keresztül lehet figyelni a viadalokat. Greyhoung races are mostly popular in Great Britain and Ireland, but it has many fans in the United States as well. There is slightly less interest in Hungary, altough races are sometimes held in Kincsem Park, Budapest. There are a couple of websites where you can make bets. The Jet Set Magazine staff recently visited the Drumbo Park Grayhound racing track near Belfast, in Northern Ireland. The races are so popular, you have to book the night in advance, with a possibility of a dinner, in the lovely restaurant above the tracks. You can watch the race while having dinner, as the restaurant has huge panorama windows. You will not only find waiters in the restaurant, but bookmakers as well, who will visit your table from time to time, taking bets, so you don`t even have to leave your table to do that. You can see the slow-motion replays on big screen TV-s. The winners of the actual

Már kiskorukban így szocializálódnak, s ennél fogva nyilván őrizni is fogják a hagyományokat, s egész életükben járnak majd agárfuttatásokra. Az igazi, nagy hangulat persze a nyitott lelátókon van, közvetlenül az agárpálya mellett, ahol a megszállott fogadók privát bukmékereknél játszanak. A bukmékerek egy-egy futam előtt nagy hangon hirdetik magukat, táblákra kiírják a tétjavaslataikat, s hatalmas táskába dobálják bele a pénzt, amit a fogadók náluk hagynak. Amikor egy-egy futam alkalmával bemutatják a közönségnek a versenyagarakat, akkor indulnak be igazán a tétek, tétre, helyre, befutóra, a kutyák látványa fontos, hogy melyik mennyire izmos, milyen a testalkatuk, mennyire dinamikus a járásuk. A futam startja után aztán elszabadul a pokol, megy a hangos buzdítás, mindenki a saját kiválasztott agarát hajtja, űzi a szavaival. Az agarak rettenetesen gyorsak. Szinte kirobbannak a startketrecekből, űzik a pálya szélén, egy sínen száguldó rózsaszín „vasnyulat”, amelynek még egy kis farkincája is van. A jó agarak 6070 kilométer/órás sebességgel szaladnak, sőt, a lassításoknál, s a fotókon látható, hogy szinte úsznak a levegőben. Megdöbbentően okosak ezek a kutyák, ami abból is látszik, hogy a kanyaroknál ke-

resik a belső ívet, hiszen itt a legrövidebb a táv, s az a kutya nyerhet a legjobbak között, aki a legjobb íven fut a homokos pályán. Az agarak annyira kiadnak magukból mindent, annyira kimerülnek egy-egy futam során, ami csak 18 másodpercig tart, hogy ezt követően 4-5 napig nem szabad versenyeztetni őket. Sok amerikai államban be is tiltották az agárversenyeket, mondván: állatkínzás az agarak viadalokra való felkészítése, s a versenyeken való kizsigerelése. Vitathatatlan, van ebben igazság, főképp, ha azt ves�szük, hogy az agarak tesztelése, kiválasztása során a trénerek sok kutyát elpusztítanak, amíg kiszűrik maguknak a legjobbakat. Nem egyszer előfordul az is, hogy az agarak a viadalokon felbuknak a nagy hajszában, s súlyos sérüléseket szenvednek. Ottjártunkkor a Drumbo Park egyik futamában is volt egy hatalmas bukás, az egyik kutyát a kanyarban elsodorták a többiek, az csúszott keresztbe a homokos pályán, elütve más versenyző ebeket is. Természetesen a stadionban volt állatorvos, aki azonnal kezelésbe vette, mert minden viadalon kötelező egy ügyeletes orvos jelenléte. A trénereknek rajtpénzt kell fizetniük, hogy versenyeken indíthassák a kutyáikat, ha viszont jó helyezéseket érnek el, sőt nagy díjakat nyernek, akkor sok pénzt zsebelhetnek be, így elég komoly iparággá fejlődött a versenyagarakkal való foglalkozás főképp Nagy-Britanniában. Az agarak csodás teremtmények. Karcsú a testük, fantasztikusan szép az izomzatuk, elegáns a tartásuk. ■

It`s a nice, elegant environment, where ladies and gentleman share gossips, while eating their enormous steaks and flush them down with some sparkling wine. Their children attending too, who are apparently interested in greyhound racing, just like their parents. You can find the classic racing atmosphere downstairs, on the open stands, next to the tracks. The private bookmakers announce the racing dogs in a loud voice, writing their betting tips on chalk boards and toss the betting money in huge suitcases. After the introduction of the dogs, the betting starts on winner, place or rank. It`s important to observe how the dog walks, what build is, how dynamic it moves. When the race starts, the hell breaks loose, everybody cheering for their chosen dog. The hounds are incredibly fast. They burst out from the starting line, chasing a speeding pink steel rabbit, that even has a tiny tail. A great hound can reach 60-70 km/h speed, you can see on the pictures, their feet barely touching the ground, it`s almost like they swim through the air. These dogs are astonishingly clever, they trying to run on the internal arc, as this is the shortest way to victory. The dogs are so exhausted after the 18 second run they have to rest for 4-5 days. Many American States banned greyhound racing, stating that the preparation and exhaustion of the dogs is animal cruelty. There is some truth in it, especially knowing, that many trainers kill the ones who can`t reach the standards. It often happens, that a dog trips during the race, getting seriously injured. We`ve seen such an unfortunate accident in Drumbo Park. After the poor dog went down, sliding on the sandy track, all his competitors run over him. There was a veterinary in the stadium of course, who immediately took care of the dog. The owners must pay an entry fee, but if they win, they can put their hands on a big chunk of money. Greyhound breeding developed into a serious industry in Great Britain. Greyhounds are magnificent creatures. Slim body, nice build, elegant movement. ■

Elvis Presley’s music, films and the homes he has owned are legendary. He was the game changer in the music world with his own style blending rock and roll, ballads, blues and gospel, the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music with record sales over 600 million. Obsessed fans knew his likes, dislikes, and what food he ate. They have ogled over his and Priscilla’s honeymoon vacation house in Palm Springs and Graceland, but it was his first home with Priscilla in Trousdale Estates overlooking Los Angeles where the fans have been coming for years to write messages to Elvis on the gate door set into the garden wall. The days of Elvis slouched on a well-worn overstuffed sofa with a plate stacked high with peanut butter and banana sandwiches on his lap are long over for this house that he and Priscilla bought for $400,000 when they were first married in 1967. Tudta, hogy 2017-ben a „Legjobb Európai úti cél” díjjal Portót tüntettek ki? Porto Portugália második legnagyobb városa. Én november közepén jártam itt. A TAP portugál légitársasággal repültem Budapestről Lisszabonba, majd onnan tovább Portóba, s vissza (flytap.com). Budapestről hetente öt alkalommal megy gép a portugál fővárosba, s Lisszabonból óránként megy TAP gép Portóba, így nagyon kényelmesen, s igen elérhető áron lehet eljutni oda, s visszajutni onnan. Ráadásul a portói borkóstolás éppen őszi és téli program, november közepén több mint 20 fok volt napközben, s januárban sincs 10-12 foknál hidegebb. Ilyenkor esik a legjobban az embernek az édes likőrbor, s a hozzá kínált csokoládé vagy esetleg sajt. Portó minden évben turisták százezreit vonzza, akik kíváncsiak az öreg belvárosra, a tipikus folyópartra, a színesre festett házakra, az ikonikus portói vashídra, s persze a portugál konyhára, valamint a helyi borokra. Nem feltétlenül szükséges valamelyik borászatot meglátogatni a Duoro-völgyben annak érdekében, hogy megkóstolhassa a portugál borokat. (Persze azért ez is erősen ajánlott!) Ha Portóban tartózkodik, s nincs előre lefoglalt hajóútja, viszont kedve lenne megkóstolni néhány portói bort, akkor sok lehetőség közül válogathat, elsősorban a folyó belvárossal szemközti oldalán, Gaiában. Porto is Portugal’s second largest city and was elected Best European Destination 2017. Every year the city attracts hundred thousands of tourists eager to discover the ancient downtown, the typical riverside with colourfully painted houses, the iconic iron bridge, to get lost in century old streets, to enjoy the Portuguese cuisine and, of course, to taste wine. I visited the city in the mid of November with TAP Portugal airlines, which has 5 flights a week from Budapest to Lisbon. From Lisbon TAP has every hour a flight to Porto, because wine tasting is popular in Autumn and Winter. It was 20 degree daytime when I was there in November and in January the weather is also good: 10-12 degree. You don’t need to go a very specific winery or vineyard in the Douro Valley to taste the best Portuguese wines (but I strongly recommend you do!). If you’re in Porto and haven’t planned a trip to the Douro but find yourself in the mood for a Port wine tasting, there are plenty of choices, mainly on the other side of the Douro River, in Gaia. Each visit is different, featuring a tasting room, artisanal cheese or chocolate pairings, on-site sommeliers and much more. With Christmas coming, nothing tops off a good meal – and especially Christmas dinner – better than a warming glass of port. Trying to make your way through the host of names and different

BOR/Wine kóstolópince más és más, eltérő berendezésű, s akad, amely nem csak portói desszertborokat, hanem kézműves sajtókat és csokoládékat is bemutat a helyi szakértők segítségével. Mivel jön a karácsony, semmi sem koronázhatja meg jobban az ünnepi menüsort, mint egy pohár édes portói bor. Éppen emiatt nem árt tudni, hogy különböző féle portói borok vannak. Az olcsóbb a 3 éves érlelésű mélybíbor színű Ruby likőrborok, a reserve, a késői szüretelésű vintage (LBV), a speciális évjáratú borok és nagytestű portói borok, amelyek ennek ellenére sem igényelnek dekantálást. Ismerünk drágább Tawny portói borokat is, amelyeket általában 6 évig tölgyfahordóban érlelnek, ezeknek kevésbé mély a színűk, s diós, karamellás az ízviláguk. Ízük mézre, szárított gyümölcsre emlékeztet. 90 g/liter a cukortartalma. S akadnak fehér portói borok, amelyeket fehérszőlőből készítenek, s jól lehűtve aperitiv italként szolgálnak fel, s egyre inkább sláger a pink portói is, ami gyakorlatilag rozé. Magas minőségi követelményeknek kell megfelelniük a portói boroknak, amelyekre jellemző, hogy alkohollal erősítik a hosszabb ideig való eltarthatóság érdekében. Portugália egyik legfontosabb exportcikke a portói bor. 1756-ban határolták el a borvidéket, ahol szigorú eredetvédelem alapján készítik a portói borokat. A Duoro völgyében 40 ezer hektáron terem szőlő, ennek nagy részét a portói borok számára szüretelik. S akkor most vegyünk sorra néhány pincészetet Portóban, ahova érdemes ellátogatnod! A Jet Set stábja a Graham’s meghívását élvezte elsőként a portói hétvégén. A kóstolóterem magával ragadó, magas mennyezet van, hatalmas ablakokon át lehet kitekinteni a Duoro-folyóra, s Porto belvárosára. Négyféle kóstolási lehetőséget kínálnak: klasszikusat, prémium kategóriásat, évjáratos kóstolót és csak Tawny borok kóstolóját, amelyek, mint tudjuk, tölgyfahordóban érlelt borok. VIP vendégként jómagam 6 bort kóstolhattam, köztük olyat is, amelyet a Wine Spectator magazin igen magas, 98 ponttal értékelt (Graham’s 2000 Vintage Port – 121 euró az ára), s olyat is, amelyből egy palack 249 euróba kerül (Grahams Tawny 1972-es évjárat). A Vintage Port még az életpályája elején van, érett szilvát és friss bogyós gyümölcsök ízét fedeztem fel benne. Óriási különbséget mutatott a Graham’s Six Grapes italhoz képest, amely sötét bíbor színű, s cseresznye ízű bor, diós felütéssel. Ezt a bort érett sajtok és csokis desszertek mellé ajánlják. A legérdekesebb élmény a 10-20-30 és 45 éves Tawny borok ízlelése és összehasonlítása volt. 21, 39, 80, illetve 249 euró áron kínálják ezeket. Tapasztaltam: minél idősebb borokat ittam, annál karakteresebbek voltak a borok, mindinkább karamell ízvilággal. A 30 és a 45 éves Tawny borokat már önállóan desszertként érdemes felszolgálni, mert ezek elnyomják bármely édesség ízét. A szárított gyümölcsök és a méz, valamint a füge ízét leginkább a 30 éves Tawnyban lehetett érezni.

classifications can be difficult, but broadly, there are the following styles: the deep red ruby port, the premium offerings of which are called reserve ports; late bottled vintage (LBV), a full-bodied port which, like reserve ports, doesn’t need decanting; vintage ports from a specific vintage year – these are pricey but offer a superb range of textured and complex flavours. Tawny ports, which have been aged in oak barrels and are lighter in colour and have that distinctive nutty and caramel flavour; and finally white port made from white grapes and often drunk chilled as an aperitif. Duoro region was demarcated by Marquis de Pombal in 1756.

Jet Set staff started the tasting week-end at caves Graham’s. The tasting room is an impressive space with high ceilings and big windows, through which the Lodge’s stunning view of the city of Porto can be fully appreciated. Here you can relish the range of Ports available to taste, while your expert guide talks you through your wines. Graham’s has a wide range of different tasting options of Classic, Premium, Vintage or Tawny Ports. An unparallel tasting experience. As a VIP guest I had a chance to taste 6 different great wines. For example Graham’s 2000 Vintage Port, which is 121 euro/bottle and got 98 points from Wine Spectator magazine during their last test. This wine displays many of the typical Graham’s aromas of ripe plum, it was pleasantly smooth, full and rich in mouth. I tasted the Graham’s Six Grapes. It had dark ruby-red colour with a seductive rich parfume of ripe plums and cherries. It is delicious to serve at the end of the meals with chocolate desserts or with strong cheese. I had also the Graham’s 10-20-30 and 45 years old Tawny ports, which cost 21-39-80 and 249 euro/bottle. All were gorgeously mellow with an amazing long finish, showing an array of dry fruits. Of course the best was the last, the oldest wine. www.grahams-port.com Caves Offley is located in Vila Nova de Gaia near the waterfront, at Caves Offley you can learn the fascinating story of the Baron of Forrester and its role in the Port wine industry. In this guided tour through the cellar, there is wine Port tastings and for small groups of connoisseurs there is also available an intimate visit with a wider selection of Port Wine tastings. This company started the operation at 1737. I had at first White Port here which is known as an apertiv wine. People like to drink white port and tonic water as like as gin and tonic. I drank an LBV port from 2012 which was very intensive with the aromas of red fruits. At the end I had a fantastic 10 years old Tawny, which was in oak cask. A matured and concentraded palate with full honeyed fruits. www.sograpevinhos.eu Taylor’s was the next to visit, this cave is in the top of the hill of Gaia, close to the company’s 5 star luxury hotel, called The 2017 T él /Winter • 47

A turistáknak 30 perc alatt bemutatják a pincét, s kisebb csoportokban tartanak nagy választékot kínáló kóstolót. Ez a pince 1737 óta működik. A Jet Set stábja itt ismerkedhetett meg a White portóival, vagyis a fehér borral, amit aperitivként kínálnak. Az új sláger, hogy ezt is�szák tonikkal, s a fehér portóiból olyan mennyiséget öntenek a pohárba, mintha gint öntenének. Hidegen fogyasztandó. Ezt követően 2012-es LBV portóit ittam, nagy testű, intenzív bor volt, vörös gyümölcsök aromájával. A sort 10 éves Tawny portói követte, amelyet tölgyfahordóban érleltek, komplex aromákat tapasztaltam ebben, s sima, lágy tónusú volt a bor, amely a szájban szinte elolvadt. www.sograpevinhos.eu

Nem messze az előbb említett pincétől, de még magasabban, a dombtetőn áll a Taylor’s pince, s mellette a cég 5 csillagos csúcsszállodája, a The Yeatman hotel, amelynek teraszairól egész Porto belátható. A hotel 2 Michelin-csillagos éttermében Portugália legnagyobb borlapja van (www.theyeatman.com). Ennél a pincészetnél a legmodernebb a vendégek fogadása, audio túrán lehet ugyanis részt venni, több nyelven vezetik végig a látogatókat az érlelőpincén, s a bemutatótermeken. Néhány tájékoztató filmet is meg lehet tekinteni. A borászatnak van saját étterme is, ami szuper (www.baraofladgate.com) Persze a legérdekesebb mindig a kóstolás. Itt a kertben, a szabad levegőn, vagy bent a teremben is lehet kóstolni. A Jet Set stábjának VIP kóstolót rendeztek 6 féle borral. A Chip Dry Port borral kezdtünk, ami aperitiv ital, nagyon kevés cukor van benne, 30 milligramm/liter. A First Estate reserved bor már digestive ital 100 milligramm/liter cukortartalommal. 2-3 éves érlelést kapott hatalmas hordóban, szárított gyümölcs és dzsem ízvilág áradt belőle. A 2013 LBV bor 4-6 évet töltött nagyhordóban, azonos évjáratú szőlőből készült, s kék áfonyára hajaz az íze. A 10 és 20 éves Tawny borok már extrán kiemelkedtek. Karamellizált ízűek voltak. Krémesek. Áradt belőlük a füge, a mazsola. A 2015-ös évjáratú Vargellas egy más világot tükrözött, nagy értéket. A cég egyik legkülönlegesebb terméke. www.Taylors.pt

Yeatman. From the terraces of this hotel the guests can enjoy a beautiful panorama. The hotel has a 2 Michelin-star restaurant with the longest wine list of Portugal (www.theyeatman.com). Established over three centuries ago in 1692, Taylor’s is one of the oldest of the founding Port houses. It is dedicated entirely to the production of Port wine and in particular to its finest styles. This company has a fantastic visitor center with audio tours in several languages. You can see films from the company. Taylor’s has a fine restaurant as well (www.baraofladgate.com) Above all, Taylor’s is regarded as the benchmark for Vintage Port. Noted for their elegance and poise as well as for their restrained power and longevity, Taylor’s Vintage Ports are blended from the finest wines of the firm’s own quintas or estates, Vargellas, Terra Feita and Junco. Taylor’s is also respected as a producer of wood aged ports and holds one of the largest reserves of rare cask aged wines from which its aged tawny Ports are drawn. Jet Set staff had 6 different wines on our tasting list. I started with a Chip Dry Port which is an aperitiv drink with 30 mlg/liter sugare. Then I got a First Estate reserved wine which is a digestive drink with 100 mlg/liter sugar, it has fruity aromas. The 2013 LBV wine was 4-6 years in vat, the grapes were picked by hand in the same year and the wine has mainly blueberry aroma. The 10 and 20 years old Tawny wines were extra, creamy and like caramell, raisen and fig. The last wine was a Vargellas 2015, which is very different, special port, extraordinary product. www. A Hotel Teatro a Design Hotels in Oporto nemzetközi szállodalánc első tagja, amely Porto belvárosában található, néhány lépésnyire a történelmi emlékhelyektől, s a kulturális létesítményektől. A szálloda tömegközlekedéssel jól megközelíthető, hiszen a metró és a vonat „karnyújtásnyira” van tőle, ráadásul a repülőtér sincs messze, csak 15,8 kilométerre található, s taxival hamar be lehet jutni a központba. Ez a szállodacég nem csak hotelek gyűjteménye, hanem sok-sok sztori fűződik a lánc egy-egy tagjához. Minden épület egyedi, különleges, s olyan vendéglátást nyújt, amely eltér a hagyományostól, nem is beszélve a belsőépítészetről, a belső terek külalakjáról. Nem tagadom, kicsit meglepődtem, amikor tudatosult bennem, hogy a Hotel Teatrót az 1859-ben megnyílt portói Baquet színházból alakították át. Több mint 150 év elteltével az egyedi színházépületből egy speciális kialakítású szállodát varázsoltak. Nagyon érdekes látványnak bizonyult számomra, hogy a recepció az egykori pénztár volt, s valamennyi vendég, így én is, egy jegyet kap a portán, nem szobakulcsot. A biléta felhasználásával lehet aztán bejutni mindenkinek a szobájába. A 74 kényelmes szoba és lakosztály arany és bronz dizájnt kapott, nem túlzás, de leesett az állam, amikor beléptem a szobámba, annyira gyönyörű volt minden. Igazán alkalmas a pihenésre. (Akadálymentesített, s összenyitható szobák is kaphatók a hotelben.) Jólesett a tudat, hogy dohányzásmentes a hotel, s kellemes meglepetésnek éreztem, amikor megláttam a kiírást, hogy ingyenes a WiFi használat minden vendégnek. A fitnesz a hotel legfelső emeletén kapott helyett, kipróbáltam, s tetszett, 2 órát mozogtam a vacsora előtt ebben az „arénában”. A hotel Palco éttermében foglaltam asztalt, s már éhes voltam, saját magamon tapasztaltam, hogy nem túlzás a vendéglátóhely szlogenje, miszerint itt szenzációs ételkölteményeket szolgálnak fel. Az étkezés utáni italomat az elegáns Plateia bárban fogyasztottam el, jó volt itt üldögélni, s figyelni a nyüzsgő városi életet. Sokan járnak ebbe a hotelbe, s hatalmas partikat is rendeznek itt, ezek helyszíne elsősorban a szálloda belső udvarában van, ahol a városi forgatag után a nyugalom „szigete”.

The hotel is just 15,8 km from the airport, it was easy to go to the hotel by taxi. More than a collection of hotels, the company is a collection of stories. I was surprised, when I realised, the Hotel Teatro arose from the spot where the Baquet Theatre was inaugurated in 1859. A hundred and fiftyone years later, the unique, refined and bohemian environment of the Theatre has been revived here in a hotel. It was very interesting to see, the reception represents a box office, where each guests, so me as well, receive a ticket to access the room. The 74 comfortable rooms and suites are colored in gold and bronze, I was amazed when I stepped in to my room, it was so beautiful and a real fine place to relax. (Rooms for handicapped guests, and interconnecting rooms are available.) I was happy to know it is a non smoking hotel and it was a kind surprise for me, that I had free internet access, as all the other guests. The fitness on the top floor transforms the Hotel into a true arena for action and relaxation. Before dinner I was there for 2 hours training. I had a booking to Restaurant Palco, the center of exotic and contemporary sensations, offering creations for a discerning palate. After dinner I had a drink in the urban and elegant Bar Plateia. The inner courtyard is a versatile and surprising area for a special event or audacious meeting in a quiet haven from the tumult of the city. Több mint 40 anyakocás az állomány, ami körülbelül 350-400 mangalicát tesz ki „A farm ugyan az én nevemet viseli, azonban az eredményes munka annak köszönhető, hogy a családom minden tagja szerves része ennek a vállalkozásnak. Mindenki hozzá teszi a saját tudását. Édesapám a biotakarmányt biztosítja, édesanyám a pályázatok írásánál segít, a nagypapám a mangalica telepem megszervezésében vett részt. A testvéreim pedig szívesen besegítenek a termékek értékesítésénél. A Fiatal Gazda Pályázat elnyerése után 2012-ben jött egy lehetőség, hogy megvásároljunk egy húsz kocából álló törzsállományt. Már nálunk voltak, amikor kiderült, hogy a kocák fele vemhes, úgyhogy egy héttel később több mint ötven állatunk volt. Levegőt sem tudtunk venni, voltak olyan kismalacok, akiket kézből kellett szoptatnunk. Mára már több mint 40 anyakocás az állomány, ami körülbelül 350-400 mangalicát tesz ki. Nálunk az állatok törődést és jó takarmányt kapnak, tiszteljük őket azért, amit cserébe adnak. A munkamorál nálunk nem üzemszerű. Értékesítünk élőállatot; választási malacot, süldőt, valamint tenyészállatot, a meghizlalt egyedeket pedig feldolgozzuk és a termékeket helyi termelői piacokra, Budapestre, fesztiválokra, valamint külföldre is visszük. Késztermékeink között szerepel: kolbász, szalonna és zsír, valamint olyan prémiumtermékek, mint például a sonka. Vannak töltelékáruink is: disznósajt, hurka és különféle pástétomok. Mindig próbálunk újítani, nem célunk a tömegtermelés. Arra törekszünk, hogy mások legyünk, mint a többiek, és hogy minél jobb minőséget és minél egyedibb termékeket állítsunk elő. A családi vállalkozásnak továbbra is része a zöldségtermesztés, így például a saját termékeinkbe a saját paprikánkat és fokhagymánkat használjuk. Budapesten a Lehel piacon lehet vásárolni a termékeinkből, hiszen kéthetente itt árusítok, s személyesen kínálom az árucikkeinket.”
