Thank you for joining us at our Postgraduate Open Day.
In this guide, you’ll find everything you need to know about what’s happening today, along with tips on how to make the most of your visit with us. We have a team of staff and students on hand to offer help and advice throughout the event. So, if you have any questions or queries, don’t hesitate to ask.
LJMU offers a supportive and flexible academic environment, wellstructured postgraduate programmes, excellent research opportunities and access to extensive resources.
The University’s wide range of disciplines span the arts, business, law, justice, humanities, education, health, science, engineering and technology. All postgraduate programmes are delivered by academics actively involved in research or consultancy projects.
97% of our postgraduates are in work or further study 15 months after graduation*. It is this combination of academic expertise and ‘real world’ experience that ensures LJMU courses prepare students for the job market, enabling them to enjoy fulfilling and successful careers.

Chat to academics within your school specific networking session. Find out about the topics you will study on your course, how you will be assessed and what additional opportunities are on offer.
Find out about the great range of accommodation on offer to postgraduate students by chatting to accommodation staff on their information stand, and visiting the accommodations for a tour.
Talk to our admissions staff to find out all you need to know about what you can study, how to apply, visas and costs.
Hear how postgraduate study can enhance your career prospects by chatting to our Student Futures team at the Career Zones in the Student Life Building and the James Parsons Building.
In addition to the funding talk at 3:30pm, our Money Advice team will be avalable in our Student Support Hub throughout the event. Chat to the team to learn about postgraduate loans, bursaries and our Alumni Discount Award.
If you have a disability of any kind and need extra support, there are many ways we can help. As a student with a disability, there is specialist support and a wide variety of services available to you. Discuss those services and how you can access them with the Disability team.
Meet our postgraduate students throughout the event and talk to them about their studies, the support available and what it feels like to take a higher level qualification.
Visit the research stand in the Student Life Building to find out how our dedicated staff can offer support and ongoing training to enhance your research and future career in this sector.

SCAN to tell us about your experience at LJMU.

It’s hard work but I’m in a really exciting place now. I’d never thought in a million years that I’d be in that position, I didn’t think I could be somebody who could do a masters. It’s just been an amazing, amazing achievement.
