I have always loved motorsport and LJMU has given me a fantastic opportunity to apply my learning to a live project through the Formula Student Team at City Campus. This has been a fantastic opportunity where I have been able to apply what is taught in lectures to a year-long live project. I have made lifelong friends and strongly encourage all students to

BOOKINGS OPEN MONDAY 13 APRIL

Booking through the Applicant Hub is the only way to guarantee you will live with other first year LJMU students, at the cheapest possible price, with no deposit to pay.

FIND YOUR PERFECT HOME

LJMU guarantees all new undergraduate students highquality accommodation in the heart of Liverpool city centre.

LIVING IN UNIVERSITY ACCOMMODATION

Our LJMU approved accommodation offers highquality, safe and comfortable accommodation in the heart of Liverpool city centre. All our accommodation has highspeed Wi-Fi, which will come in handy for both studying and streaming – and the majority is en-suite, with many having additional facilities as standard, like an on-site gym or parking. And did we mention that all our accommodation is within a short walk of our campuses –making rolling out of bed and into university easy (don’t tell our academics!).

All tenancies in LJMU approved accommodation last the full academic year – so you won’t have to move your stuff back home at Christmas or Easter breaks – and if you find your home sweet home, you’re allowed to stay on after your first year!

HOW DOES ACCOMMODATION FINANCE WORK?

Most undergraduate students will apply for both student loans – the tuition fee loan, and the maintenance loan.

Unlike your tuition fee loan, which is paid directly to LJMU, your maintenance loan is paid into your bank account in three installments, and it is up

to you how you spend it. If you deicde to live away from home, some of your maintenance loan will be spent on your rent. If you choose to live in LJMU approved accommodation, rent is paid across the year in three installments that coincide with your student funding payments. Once you have paid your rent for the term, you can then work out how much you have for the the remainder of the term.

If you decide to stay at home you will still be eligible for a maintenance loan, if you wish to apply for one. Students who live at home often choose to invest in a travel pass at the start of the year to make it easier to budget around getting to and from campus.
