The year 2025 was an exciting year for the family!!! As the children get older change is eminent. Kyler graduated from High School and is taking Crop Tech (he says his dad can teach him about cows…..) at Lakeland College. He was worried about leaving us and not being around the farm to help. We told him he needed to go out and experience life and that we would be fine……. I didn’t know he did so much……. But thrilled he is getting a post secondary education! Easton turned 16 and got his drivers licence. This new found freedom is exciting and having another driver isn’t a bad thing either. The best part is Easton and Austin (Bob) made the same hockey team……. Guess who drives to practices…. Not Michelle!!! Kaidynce still has a love for horses and even spent the summer training a young colt to ride. This is crazy to me as there isn’t anyone in this house that has any horse experience! I should add that all the children are a huge help around the farm and spend countless hours helping get the chores done! Thanks guys!!

For those that don’t know our program, we strive and are proud to produce animals that go out and get the job done. We will calve close to 650 cows at the start of 2026. This includes the Purebred Simmentals, Purebred Charolais and the commercial cows. We often tell people that the bulls we offer are bulls we wouldn’t hesitate to use in our commercial herd and as you go through the cataloge you will notice we have even collected semen (with the new owner’s permission) on some of our favorites over the years. When selecting replacements and breeding we put a lot of emphasis on cow families, ease of calving, growth rates, temperament, udders and feet. A little side note, in the red section, 15% of the bulls stem from the Mitzie line. A member of this line, 62X, is currently being flushed as a 16 year old cow!

All the yearling bulls have been fed together since the very end of August. The bulls are eating a TMR diet that consists of corn and cereal silage, haylage, chopped hay and a starch free pellet. All the ingredients are tested and balanced to allow the animal to show their natural growing abilities and achieve a strong ADG without harming their long-term development. We do not push the feed to our animals and pride ourselves on the fact that many customers express how their bulls actually gain weight or maintain their condition throughout breeding season. The greatest compliment we hear year after year, is how our bulls work for an extended period of time with some reaching 9 and 10 years of age!

We are fortunate to still be farming with my parents, Barney and Melody and are excited to be in partnership with them on our new Charolais endeavor. Over the years Mom and Dad have been our major support system giving us years of knowledge and many hours of help. Along side the purebred cows Mom and Dad also run a large commercial herd. Although Mom and Dad own these cows, we feel fortunate to have them around as they help keep us focused on the overall end product that everyone is trying to achieve.

Welcome to the Beechinor Bros and Guest Bull Sale. Many years ago, John and Stefon were given money to go and buy the best absolute bull they could find for their dad Barney. After a long tedious search, they bought a bull from Twin Chief. With encouragement from Barney to start a purebred herd of their own, they returned a year later and bought a heifer from the same people…the rest is, as they say, history. Fourteen years later and the Beechinor Bros sale is going stronger than ever.

Well, like the Beechinor Kids, the bull sale has grown too. While the sale has always included top notch Fullblood and Purebred cattle, Charolais were added not so may years ago. Man has that Charolais group ever found its stride at the Beechinors! Doesn’t matter what breed you are looking at in this years offering, focus has been on phenotype, performance and real world reliability for real world applications. Genetics lead the way with many sire groups crossed with a hard-working cow herd. Interesting fact: the Beechinors have used 25 different sires in the Simmental group and 8 different sires in the Charolais group, yup, we are talking about genetic diversity for sure. I know some people may say that’s too many and it’s hard to see what one herd sire can do. To those people I’d say that the Beechinors calf out over 650 cows, they can experiment a bit to see what works. When I say hard working, they have a cow, Mitzi 62x that is 16 years old and is still in their flushing program. She still has great feet (that have never been touched) and a pretty darn good udder, that’s longevity that we all could use! Note that 15% of the red offering goes back to this cow line.

There are many bulls in this sale that have a lot of calving ease. They have intentionally been trying to provide calving ease bulls along side the power bulls on offer. Some real curve benders that come small and crush the fall scales are available to you to improve your program. Be sure to check out actual real weights taken end of August. One bull weighed just short of 1100 lbs, see if you can find him.

DELIVERY

All bulls that are remaining to be housed after the sale must be insured. Bulls will be housed free of charge until April 15, 2025. Animals will be delivered free of charge to points across Alberta, BC, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. This will be done at the buyer’s convenience, however, if the truck is in your area you may be asked to take your bull early. We will do our utmost to deliver your bull to your yard.

SIGHT UNSEEN

If you are unable to attend the sale, but are interested in bulls, please feel free to give the consignors a call prior to sale day and they will personally go over the bulls and your program to recommend the animal that would meet your needs. Following that, the Transcon Livestock and Bohrson Marketing teams will represent your needs in a professional and confidential manner.

HEALTH & FERTILITY

All bulls will be scrotal measured. All bulls over 12 months of age will be semen tested. All bulls were treated with Ivomec and such products and have received all their vaccinations. Contact seller for details on programs. All sale bulls have been given Fusogard vaccine for foot rot prior to the sale.

EPD EXPLANATION EPDs are “Expected Progeny Differences”. They are a useful tool in selection. EPDs incorporate the individual animal with its ancenstry performance. EPDs do not compare across cattle breeds. They are individual based per breed. EPDs indicate a probably variance above or below breed average for that trait for a given bull’s progeny. The accuracy of EPDs for calendar year bull calves is generally about 20% (one out of five times) so use it cautiously as one of several selection tools.

Its pretty rare I get a random picture sent to me in September of a bull calf. Not only did this guy not own the bull calf but he literally had no strings attached. It was pretty obvious that this calf was full of meat and had exceptional depth. After getting his tattoo it was more intriguing to find out his was polled. Fast forward a few months and he is up for sale. Sadly, we weren’t able to be the winning bidder but knew we would be watching him closely going forward. Not many days later a text came through that the new owners were going to be offering limited life time semen packages on the bull. Needless to say, we couldn’t dial the phone fast enough to be sure we didn’t miss a second time. With this being his first calf crop we are excited to report that he added muscle put on a polled head and both the bulls and heifers are amongst the top of their respective replacement pens!

knew had to find his way into our program the second we saw him. Of course, with a $355,000 price tag, it added a bit of stress. Once those first calves started hitting the ground, we knew it was the right decision and there was some relief once we laid eyes on them. Now with two calf crops under his belt and his offspring pushing to the top of both the bull and replacement heifer pens we are thrilled we did what we did! At weaning time many of his sons broke the 900lbs mark. Its early to say but we believe that Rumble could very well have the biggest influence on our herd from this point forward. His sons are impressive to say the least and his daughters have that brood cow look. Over the last two calf crops we have crossed him with several different ‘types’ of cows and he has surprised us by how consistent he was able to make them. These consistent traits include deep swing ribs, hair, meat, red colouring, pigmentation and performance. Now to add to that list is his udder quality of his daughters. With the second set of daughters calving this January, we are thrilled to report the udder size, udder shape, teat placement and teat size are tremendous and almost identical on every female! Sometimes a guy is in the right place at the right time….. To be totally honest I wasn’t in need of a new herd sire but when the call came from Chad at Clearwater Simmentals to team up on Kegger it was a no brainer. Kegger was a bull that had definitely caught my eye and it was an easy decision. Now, almost two years later, you are seeing the results! Welcome to the 2026 addition of the bull sale. This years offering marks one complete trip around the calf numbering alphabet for us with our first ever purebred calf born being an N back in 2003. We are grateful for the people we’ve met and the mentors we’ve made and the lessons we have learned. We hope we can make it another time or 2 around and continue to strengthen relationships and make new friends along the way.

Looking back to that first N calf we had born, I’m pretty pleased with the progress we have made. That first calf was an easy cull for multiple reasons so luckily the bar was set low. Jokes aside, ultimately the goal of our breeding program is continual improvement, just as I am sure it is for the majority of you reading this. Our offering this year is pretty diverse with options for many different facets of the industry.

We once again have a selection of fall born bulls. This is a deliberate program that was started years ago to spread out work load and give the option to buyers to get a bull with a bit more size and maturity if they so chose. These bulls are fed separately from the yearling bulls and can be brought along a bit slower. The yearling group is fed along side Beechinor Bros bulls on a balanced TMR ration. We do our best to manage our cowherd like our commercial customers manage their cows utilizing banked fall grazing, swath grazing and when the silage pile is opened we feed a ration formulated by a nutritionist to maximize use of low quality low cost ingredients like straw.

All bulls have been DNA tested for relevant information like homo polled, coat colour and dilutor status. New this year we have sire verified each bull and 100K SNP DNA tested to give an improved EPD accuracy.

The NUG 67Z cow family has influenced almost half our black/red factor bulls this year with her appearing in the pedigrees of lots 90 (522N) and 84 (513N) as well. In a breed that is quick to progress, its noteworthy that Captain Morgan is still used successfully and always seems to add to a pedigree. The Pillar sons at Diamond B are always big growthy bulls that impress me when I am there taking pictures. This moderate framed bull is as soggy made as they come, with incredible depth from his forerib to his flank and loads of muscle expression. This cow family is one of our most numerous with the foundation cow from the Maxwell program just coming up open this year at 14. Maternal sisters to Sysco are working at Skyline Simmentals and Back In Black Simmentals, while a maternal brother sold to the good cattlemen at Alix Colony. This is a bull I can see leaving a great set of loose made steers and attractive big barreled daughters.

Our fall calving program last year was heavy on heifers so this is the lone red factor, extra aged bull we have to offer. This big fellas dam was a high selling bred heifer through the renowned R Plus dispersal sale with her attractive build and outstanding pedigree. Monopoly’s sire, Tycoon, is considered an older AI sire in the red purebred scene but his production ability is just as relevant in todays industry as it was when he first came into production. This moderate framed bull has lots of eye appeal, a big barrel, a wide top and carries a square quarter down low. Originally selling for $155,000 and then selling walking rights at the World Congress sale for $100,000, he is a profitable sire. Livewire is a docile, dark red polled son of our top cow Couture. His flushmate sister was lead off heifer at last falls Shades of Fall selling for $38000 to Jem and Beechinor Bros. Spitfire is a proven high performance sire that has produced many top sons for the industry over the years and numerous strong uddered productive daughters. Livewire is a long bodied, well muscled bull that had a herdbull look right from a calf and weaned off near 950 lbs in August with no creep feed. Prestige is a personal favourite of mine with a ton of potential and a big spread from BW to 205 day WW. He is almost 2 months younger than some of his pen mates but holds his own with a rugged herdbull look combining strong bone and deep sweeping ribcage. His dam is a beautiful cow that has a feminine look while carrying a lot of mass and correct udder. Sugar Ray females are quickly rising to the top of our herd with their production capabilities. Blair has been one of our most consistent cows with a long list of accolades. Every calf has been either sold as breeding stock or retained and maybe even more impressive is that her 11 progeny have all been born in the first cycle. Now that is fertility. She has had sons work at Parview/Virginia Ranch, Sever Farms, DC Acres and Hollingsworths. A Sugar Ray daughter is one of our best young cows with a full sister at Faulkner Farms in Arkansas and other daughters at Starwest and Richlan Farms. This dark red bull is a pen leader in performance traits and is a bull with a big time look. Malta is a dark red, very long bodied, deep middled and wide quartered bull. He brings together a lot of traits that lead to power and performance, demonstrating this by being the top WW bull this year at 992 lbs in August with no creep feed. One of the biggest challenges we faced when you buy a large number of cows is bull power…. Its an even bigger challenge when you buy a large number of cows in a totally different breed….. With the help of our friends and sales management teams we put the word out to them to keep an eye out for good bull calves. After a bit of touring and looking all teams came back with the fact that the Tank sons were very impressive. All fingers pointed to one very interesting individual in particular and he went by the name Tremor! By chance I was driving right past Mcleod’s on my way to the hockey rink and decided to pop in for a look myself. It was here I learnt that there was only going to be one semen pack sold in Alberta. After seeing him it was very obvious this guy had a place in our AI program and would help in the bull power department. Not only was he extremely growthy but he had an amazing EPD profile….. actually maybe the best I have ever seen with 11/15 being in the top 10% of the breed and 10/15 being in the top 3%. Now with the second set of calves on the ground another interesting fact has developed, many of his calves are born well under gestation with some being as early as 2 weeks! A definite positive is controlling BW and still maintaining the desired growth!

Like I said earlier the hardest part about buying a large group of cows is bull power! We were afraid that buying all yearlings to cover the cows would be a bit risky and decided to try to find a good two year old to help! After making a few stops we found Voyager and second bull named Apollo (a bull you will definitely see more of in the coming years). We went back and forth on the two bulls trying to decide which one we liked best and after many conversations and really not being able to come up with a firm decision we decided that if the price was right we would buy both! As it would have it, the price was right was right!!! Now with the second set of calves on the ground we didn’t just find a good bull in Voyager, we found a great bull. His offspring are soft made, hairy and grow extremely well. Maybe the best part is that he calves incredibly easy but at the end of the day he brings in some of the most eye appealing replacements come weaning time.

Finding a herd bull can be hard, finding a herd bull in a breed you have only just began to understand and learn is really hard!! But one thing is common across any breed, a good bull is a good bull! After travelling a many of mile and stopping in at several different farms looking for a bull that could add a little grow but still maintain that soft made, easy doing look, we came across Legend. We travelled into Manitoba delivering bulls from our sale and on our way home we stopped at a number of different farms. After looking at what seemed like hundreds of bulls the one memory that sticks out the most is what my son Easton said after we got back in the truck after looking at Craig’s bulls and cows. “Dad, that Lot 1 bull is A Hell of A Bull!” So, I grabbed the catalog and wrote just that across the top of his picture. Once we returned back home we started going through all the catalogs and noticed that we had started using Legend as the benchmark as to how the other bulls compared. BID - No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.

SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.

DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

INSURANCE – Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the time of sale and should be insured. Animals returning to the seller’s farm must be insured.

US BUYERS – There is an additional charge (approximately $300.00 US dollars) that will be applied to each animal purchased. This covers documentation, vet inspections/testing required to export. This cost does not include transportation or brokerage which is the responsibility of the buyer.

CATTLE PICTURES AND INFORMATION PROVIDEDThe images in this catalogue are believed to be accurate representations of the individual animals and the information contained in this catalogue is provided by the seller and believed to be true and accurate. Transcon Livestock Corp. and catalogue designers/producers assume no responsibility if the images and/ or information as received have been altered or is inaccurate.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – All announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.

SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

BREEDERS GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price. EXCEPTION TO

GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.

HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

EMBRYO & SEMEN – Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 30 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.

ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

IS AGENT ONLY - It is to be clearly understood that Transcon Livestock Corp. is only acting as a medium between buyer and seller and is not in any way responsible for any failure on the part of either party to live up to his obligations. Neither does Transcon Livestock Corp. assume any financial obligations to collect or enforce collection of any monies between parties. Any legal action that may be taken, in exceptional cases, must be between buyer and seller.
