We would like to buy back your heifer calves out of any of the K2 Females in this sale.
Any females in this sale have the option of coming back to this sale for example calves born out of these females, bred heifers from these heifer calves, or bred 3’s.

Roth Land & Cattle is a family-owned commercial Red Angus cow-calf operation that focuses on breeding high-quality heifers for ranchers. While raising Red Angus females for the commercial cattleman, we have noticed a growing demand for Red Baldy heifers. After working with and purchasing bulls from K2 Red Angus over the past 10 years, we have partnered to offer this excellent selection of baldy and brockle-faced bred heifers from K2 customers including our own herd. These are the same baldy heifers you’ve come to love at the K2 & Friends Fall Female Sale.
Our ranch is situated in eastern Wyoming, near the historic town of Hartville. Our cattle graze and calve on the open range, but they have a gentle and easy-going disposition. Our main goal has always been to produce heifers with strong maternal traits, bred to premium calving-ease bulls that will produce quality calves at weaning.

All heifers were ultrasounded by Smylie Veterinary Clinic on August 13, 2025, and are guaranteed bred. If the buyer chooses to recheck before December 31, 2025, we will refund or credit the difference on any heifers that lost a pregnancy.
All Roth Land & Cattle bred females offered here will have 2026 Calves eligible for Angus Access value added program.
In response to our customer requests that we offer more cattle as coming 3-year-olds we have incorporated this into our breeding and sale plan. We keep and calve heifers specifically to offer in this sale coming with their 2nd calf.

Slater 68K was our high selling bull in 2023 going to Hot Shoe Red Angus in Utah. We used Slater in over 200 heifers that calved in 2025. He was outstanding for calving ease and calf vigor. With a low PAP and truly amazing cows backing him. I think this is one of the best Red Angus heifer bulls available today.

These are the same baldy genetics offered in this Fall Female Sale every year. All daughters of K2 Red Angus bulls that are highly maternal in their genetics and have low PAP scores. For the past several years we have been working on setting things up for Roth Land & Cattle would take over the Baldy cattle offered in this sale. After working with Keith & Christina for the past 10 years we knew they would be a great fit for this sale.
Slater 68K is the same AI sire used in the solid red heifers in Lot 3. He is outstanding for calving ease and calf vigor and well proven for working in range calving conditions.
What makes an outstanding calving ease bull?
Consistency
I emphasize this because it is not generally every calf that puts you and your heifers in a bind, it is the outliers. Those 5, 10 or 20% that are just too big and/or shaped wrong. I believe a big contributor to this is coming from our so called “calving ease” sires; sires that in their bloodline the calving ease actually varies greatly. A sire that throws birth weights from 58-95lbs. Or, a dam that throws a lot of birth weight, so she was bred to extreme calving ease the resulting animal on average sure looks like calving ease until his progeny start coming out with the full spectrum from his sire’s light calves to the dam’s huge calves. Some of this variation also comes from chasing the “Curve Bender.” Producing the calf that is very small at birth and well above average at weaning.

The bulls that bred these heifers are truly top notch. 111K was the high selling bull in our 2023 sale. Patton was one of the most sought after bulls in our 2024 sale, and a bull we used on our registered heifers before offering him in our bull sale. Roths have a history of picking out the best bulls offered and making sure they go home them. These heifers couldn’t be bred better.

I know it is very hard for Roths to part with these young cows, but I have been trying to get them to offer some for the past 2 years. Finally they said yes!
These young cows packed the pounds on their calves this year, weaning some of our largest calves. Half of these cows are back from the lot we purchased in last year’s K2 sale. The other half is from our home-raised group out of some of our best cows and by leading Hereford sires, including NJW Long Haul 36E and Schu-lar Selection 16C.

These cattle come from Kim’s parents. Pat & Sherri have been selling consistent, high quality bred heifers for many years, with many long term and repeat customers.
Cullen Ranch has been selling bred heifers for over 30 years. They raise moderate cows (dries weighing 1200lbs in June 2025) with nice conformation and sound structure. For generations the mothers of these heifers have calved in range conditions with only supplemental hay. Perhaps most importantly, they have selected for disposition in all these generations of females. These cattle are worked with horses and ATVs, handled slowly and quietly. Basically they are bred, raised, and handled to fit well into any program.
