I am always impressed by the dedication and determination the American rancher embodies and displays day after day and the amount of pride a cow herd can provide.
As we continue to see unwavering support for beef worldwide and the renewed importance of a quality protein being put in the spotlight it is an amazing time in the cattle business. As an industry we are providing a product that can’t be replicated and it is important that we as producers continue to promote beef and the nutritional importance it provides. With a declining population of producers the cow herd is not expanding as fast as some may have believed and it helps to contribute to the positive aspects of the market.
With us transitioning the operation to the ranch north of Taylor year round, we had a long list of projects to get done but it was absolutely worth the work. The ability to maintain this cow herd in the sandhills year round is simplifying the operation and to have the room and protection is a blessing. The importance of producing cattle that perform at all segments of the beef industry can’t be underestimated, however we know the most important level is at the ranch. CATTLE VIEWING The bulls are available for viewing at our place north of Taylor, NE. Feel free to call or stop by anytime, we will always make time to go through the bulls with you.
DNA TESTING All sale animals have been tested with AngusGS test.
DELIVERY Bulls will be delivered after March 15th. Free delivery is offered for the state of Nebraska and any bordering state. Other locations will be delivered to a central location. Heifers will be delivered if a bull is purchased, otherwise buyer will be responsible for pickup or agreeable terms with seller for delivery.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED We 100% guarantee approval upon delivery, this also covers you if your purchase is on the internet and have not seen the bull. Please look for the video of the bulls on DVAuction.
SEMEN INTEREST We would like to collect several bulls for in herd use before delivery. It will be done at sellers expense and buyers convenience. Selling full possession and 100% semen interest.
TWO YEAR OLD BULLS We have seen a large demand for producers that want to buy 2 year old bulls. We look forward to offering a larger selection as we have started an Embryo Transfer program dedicated entirely to provide a larger offering of mature bulls.
GUARANTEE All bulls are guaranteed to be sound and healthy breeders, with a first season of injury or death for the first 75 days following turn out. All bulls selling for $3,000 or more will covered. We will issue a credit of half the selling price for future sales to be used on any purchase. A replacement bull will be provided for remainder of season. Please contact us before September 1st, 2026. All yearling bulls will pass a BSE exam before delivery, all 2 year old bulls passed a BSE as yearlings and will be retested before delivery. Any bull that was used for breeding purposes as a yearling will be Trich tested and documentation will be provided to the buyer.
Directions from Taylor, NE - From the gas station, go 6.4 miles north on Highway 183 to 829th Avenue. Turn east and go approximately 2.5 miles. Go north on 456th Road and we are the first place on the right side across from the red gates.
Directions from Calamus Lake - Turn south on 460th Avenue which is located across from Nunda Shouls. Go south and then once you turn west, that road will turn into 829th Avenue. Stay heading west to 456th Avenue (there is a small blue sign that says Sitz Road). Go north and we are the first place, sale facility is on the west side of the road.

The 4256 cow has had an immediate impact in our operation. We found this B/R cow on a sale and knew we had to bring her home. Before the sale I asked Bill Rishel about her and he simply told me she was one cow that he guaranteed would pay me back, no questions asked. Year after year she continues to produce top end progeny and at 12 years of age she still has a picture perfect phenotype. I think when you look at the 5 sons she has in this offering, you will see the consistency and end product performance that all producers desire. One of the neatest things I found was that she has some 36 Angus in her pedigree, the Triple E Special Addition bull goes back to a cow my dad raised and was sold to Jon Erb from Dillon Montana. She really is a special cow and will have a tremendous influence for years to come.
We are offering 5 IVF Embryos out of the 4256 cow sired by Cherry Creek Blue Collar, we have noticed his calves at many other programs and have been impressed with their consistency, style, and performance.
