welcome
Welcome to the Annual Kenny Angus Production Sale. Whether you have been with us for years or are looking at our cattle for the first time, we are glad you’re here. We’re proud to offer a strong group of cattle this year and appreciate your interest in our program.
Our breeding program is built using a multi-trait selection model. This approach helps produce genetics that work in real-world conditions and add value for our customers. We focus on performance, moderate birth weights, strong maternal and carcass traits, good disposition, and cattle that stay sound and have the capacity to function problem free under practical conditions.
This year’s bull offering includes a strong group of calving-ease bulls that also deliver breed-leading performance. A look at their EPD profiles shows an excellent balance of calving ease, growth, maternal strength, and carcass merit. We collect as much data as we can to accurately measure performance, ensuring the phenotype matches the numbers, giving you balanced genetics and the flexibility to fit a wide range of production goals.
The majority of these bulls will be 18 months old at turnout, allowing us to develop them in a sensible, practical way. They have been grown on a high-roughage ration to promote soundness and longevity, so they are physically mature, durable, and ready to go to work.
We continue to provide large groups of ET calves from our top cow families, along with elite donor females. By multiplying our best females, we aim to provide consistent, profitable calf crops for our customers.
As always, we offer free board on all bulls until May 1. We also provide free nationwide delivery on purchases over $5,000, with delivery assistance available on purchases below that amount.
We encourage you to contact us before marketing your calves next year. Kenny Angus genetics are consistently in strong demand among feeders, and we are always happy to assist however we can.
Join us at 12 noon for a complimentary beef lunch ahead of the 1 p.m. sale start. Satisfied customers are the foundation of our success, and we are committed to earning your trust. If there is anything we can do to help, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to seeing you on March 13th.
Sincerely - The Kenny Family

We were honored to host a group of progressive Angus breeders from Australia, Scotland and Canada at the farm! It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas, share our genetics, and talk about the future of the Angus breed across borders.
Visitors are always welcome!

World Angus Forum
Sue had the incredible opportunity to visit Australia for the World Angus Forum. She connected with Angus enthusiasts from 24 different countries, each bringing their unique stories and backgrounds. The operations varied from newly established farms and ranches to those that have been in families for generations. The Australian hospitality was unmatched, and the cattle were impressive. Everyone shared the common goal of producing the highest quality beef to feed the world. Hearing that our genetics are succeeding in other regions of the world was humbling. If ever presented with a chance to join a tour like this, do it – it was amazing!

ANGUS DATA EXPLAINED

The CAB® icon will appear on the pedigree of those bulls that meet the criteria for targeting the Certified Angus Beef® Brand. Only 1 in 4 non-parent bulls in the Angus breed qualify.
EPDS
Expected Progeny Difference (EPD) , is the prediction of how future progeny of each animal are expected to perform relative to the progeny of other animals listed in the database. EPDs are expressed in units of measure for the trait, plus or minus. Interim EPDs may appear on young animals when their performance has yet to be incorporated into the American Angus Association National Cattle Evaluation (NCE) procedures. This EPD will be preceded by an “I”, and may or may not include the animal’s own performance record for a particular trait, depending on its availability, appropriate contemporary grouping, or data edits needed for NCE.
Calving Ease Direct (CED) , is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births, with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in first-calf heifers. It predicts the average difference in ease with which a sire’s calves will be born when he is bred to first-calf heifers.
Birth Weight EPD (BW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Weaning Weight EPD (WW) , expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Yearling Weight EPD (YW) , expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Scrotal Circumference EPD (SC), expressed in centimeters, is a predictor of the difference in transmitting ability for scrotal size compared to that of other sires.
Maternal Milk EPD (Milk) , is a predictor of a sire’s genetic merit for milk and mothering ability as expressed in his daughters compared to daughters of other sires. In other words, it is that part of a calf’s weaning weight attributed to milk and mothering ability.
Docility (Doc) , is expressed as a difference in yearling cattle temperament, with a higher value indicating more favorable docility. It predicts the average difference of progeny from a sire in comparison with another sire’s calves. In herds where temperament problems are not an issue, this expected difference would not be realized.
CARCASS DATA
Carcass Weight EPD (CW) , expressed in pounds is a predictor of the differences in hot carcass weight of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.
Marbling EPD (Marb) , expressed as a fraction of the difference in USDA marbling score of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.
Ribeye Area EPD (RE) , expressed in square inches, is a predictor of the difference in ribeye area of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.
PERCENTILE RANKINGS for EPDs and $Indexes allow you to see how the cattle in the sale offering stack up to any Angus bull/female within their respective breed, not just those in our sale group.
Kenny Rogers
$VALUES
$Value Index ($Value) , an economic selection index allows multiple change in several different traits at once pertaining to a specific breeding objective. The $Value is an estimate of how future progeny of each sire are expected to perform, on average, compared to progeny of other sires if the sires were randomly mated to cows and if calves were exposed to the same environment.
Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M) , an index, expressed in dollars per head, predicts profitability differences from conception to weaning with the underlying breeding objective assuming that individuals retain their own replacement females within herd and sell the rest of the cull female and all male progeny as feeder calves. The model assumes commercial producers will replace 25% of their breeding females in the first generation and 20% of their breeding females in each subsequent generation. Traits included are as follows: calving ease direct, calving ease maternal, weaning weight, milk, heifer pregnancy, docility, mature cow weight, claw set and foot angle.
Beef Value ($B) , a terminal index, expressed in dollars per carcass, to predict profitability differences in progeny due to genetics for postweaning and carcass traits. This terminal index assumes commercial producers wean all male and female progeny, retain ownership of these animals through the feedlot phase and market these animals on a carcass grid. Traits included in the index are as follows: yearling weight, dry-matter intake, marbling, carcass weight, ribeye area and fat.
Combined Value ($C) , an index, expressed in dollars per head, which includes all traits that make up both Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M) and Beef Value ($B) with the objective that commercial producers will replace 20% of their breeding females per year with replacement heifers retained within their own herd. The remaining cull heifer and steer progeny are then assumed to be sent to the feedlot where the producers retain ownership of those cattle and sell them on a quality-based carcass merit grid. Expected progeny differences (EPDs) directly influencing a combined index: calving ease direct (CED) and maternal (CEM), weaning weight (WW), yearling weight (YW), maternal milk (Milk), heifer pregnancy (HP), docility (DOC), mature cow weight (MW), foot angle (Angle), claw set (Claw), dry matter intake (DMI), marbling (Marb), carcass weight (CW), ribeye area (RE) and fat thickness (Fat).
PERFORMANCE INFORMATION
ADJ 205 - Weaning weights adjusted to 205 days of age and for age of dam. (Quality of recipient dams will affect weights of ET calves.)
ADJ %IMF - The amount of desirable fat or marbling in the ribeye muscle adjusted to 365 days of age.
ADJ Ribeye - Measured in square inches and adjusted to 365 days of age. Most heritable of all carcass traits.

2924 is a rare breeding piece that blends undeniable phenotype and power with an impressively diverse and influential pedigree. She was the record selling heifer of the 2023 Kenny Angus Sale, commanding $65,000 for ½ interest to GMC. Her maternal strength runs deep – her brother, Kenny Rogers, brought
to ST Genetics, and Baldridge
Performance Angus, invested in half of their dam, Annie 532. She backs her look with elite genetic merit, ranking in the top 25% of the breed for 22 EPDs and $ Values. Highlighted by top 2%YW, 3%WW, 4% RE, 5% Claw, 10% Docility and 15% PAP. Her structure, claw design and quiet disposition are second to none and exactly what progressive breeders demand!! In 2025, 30% of all eggs transferred at Kenny Angus originated from this donor – used across 6 different sires – showing the confidence she inspires and the versatility she brings. From Oct 2024 to April of 2025, she was aspirated 12 times and averaged 15.6 transferable eggs. 3 times she made over 42 oocytes, and we were able to use 2 sires. When her eggs were transferred fresh she made 85% preg rate. So, no matter the direction of your program, this female fits the mold and elevates it. Demand has followed her every time her genetics have been offered, and she has the credentials to lead any program to new heights!
