Jericho team advances to world championships VEX Robotics Team 11753A Nylock has qualified for the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championship following an outstanding performance at the Southern New York State Championship, held on March 14, 2026 in Somers, New York. The team earned both the Tournament Finalist Award and the Design Award, double qualifying for the World Championship among 42 competing teams. Team 11753A Nylock is composed of Jericho High School sophomores Rayan Hasan, Milo Lin, Liam Lin, Vihaan Malik, Richard Nie, and Ian Tam. The team is organized and driven by the initiative and leadership of its student members, with guidance from a parent coach. Now in their third year, Team Nylock has quickly risen as a top-performing team in the
competitive robotics circuit. Over the course of the season, the team compiled an impressive 53 to 24 record across five regional qualifier tournaments and two signature events. They earned two Tournament Finalist awards, two Design awards, three Innovate awards, and are currently ranked 317 out of 6,824 teams worldwide in the World Skills Ranking. This will be the team’s second appearance at the World Championship. Team 11753A Nylock will represent New York at the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri, from April 21 through April 24, 2026, where more than 800 premier teams from around the world will compete. We wish Team Nylock continued success on the global stage.
