Prom goers find their fit at Levittown Dress Boutique
Volunteers for Veterans: Nominations open The Town of Oyster Bay invites residents to help shine a spotlight on local heroes by submitting nominations for the Town of Oyster Bay’s annual Veterans Volunteer Awards. Honorees will be recognized during the Town’s beloved “Salute to America” Celebration on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at John Burns Park. This annual tribute celebrates the extraordinary individuals who go above and beyond in service to our veteran community - those who continue to make a lasting impact through compassion, advocacy, and selfless dedication.

Social workers from each middle and high school unite in this yearly effort and work with
local dress shops to receive donations that also include prom accessories. Racks in the Panther Room were filled with a full range of dresses to meet everyone’s taste. The event also featured raffles for prize bundles that went to lucky winners. The Dress Boutique, which ran after school and into the evening, was attended by dozens of
soon-to-be prom goers. “The Dress Boutique is about much more than finding the perfect dress,” social worker Lisa Dimitri said. “It’s about ensuring every student feels confident, celebrated and stress-free during an important milestone in their high school experience.
