FPBS student musicians spread holiday cheer at winter concerts

Sewanhaka Central High School District marked the holiday season and recognized student achievements during the board of education meeting, held at H. Frank Carey High School on Dec. 16. Ex Officio board member Christopher Sebber, a junior at Carey, shared recent districtwide highlights during the Student Report, including winter concerts and art shows, food and toy drives, and the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee meeting. Made up of students from all five school buildings, the ensemble circled the auditorium and delivered spirited renditions of “Gloria in Excelsis Deo,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Joy to the World” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” Choir members practiced the selections individually within their schools before coming together for a brief rehearsal ahead of their uplifting performance at the board meeting.
