Two arrests in Levittown burglary

Nassau County Police arrested two people for burglary after a home on Violet Lane was burglarized on Wednesday, August 31. According to police, at 1:56 p.m., a homeowner returned home to find her front door open and an unknown woman walking out carrying some of the homeowner's personal property. The unknown woman walked across the street, entered the passenger side of a white four door sedan occupied by an unknown male driver; the two fled the scene south on Violet Lane. Police say they determined that the proceeds had been sold, but detectives were able to recover the victim’s property and that

led to the arrest of both suspects. On Thursday, September 1, at 6:08 p.m., detectives located two suspects in Westbury and arrested Cristina L. Carella, 31, of Levittown and Kyle Howell, 28, of Westbury. Each is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. Carella is additionally charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief for a crime that occurred on Arrow Lane, Hicksville on January 7, 2022. In addition, Carella had a prior charge of Criminal Mischief on January 4, 2022; she was released without bail and no monitoring device.
