'SHED THE MEDS' IN LEVITTOWN
School budgets approved Bethpage
On April 26, National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, New York State Senator Steve Rhoads lent a helping hand at the “Shed the Meds” event outside Wisdom Lane Middle School. The initiative offered community members a safe and convenient way to dispose of unwanted, unused, and expired medications—no questions asked. Participants were able to simply drive up, drop off, and drive away. Senator Rhoads emphasized that events like this play a vital role in preventing prescription drug abuse and ensuring the proper disposal of potentially dangerous medications.
