CEO Update This month, I want to take a moment to thank every team member for your contribution. Your commitment, care and teamwork are what make our organisation strong, and they are especially worth recognising as we mark the significant milestone of our 40-year anniversary. For 40 years, Lite n’ Easy has grown through the efforts of our people and a commitment to providing a quality product and service to our customers. Whether you have been with us for many years or have joined more recently, thank you for the part you play in supporting our customers, our communities and each other. Looking ahead, we will also come together to recognise R U OK? Day on 10 September. Once again, we will acknowledge this important initiative by taking a break, enjoying a coffee from the coffee cart, and sharing a KitKat. R U OK? Day reminds us that a simple conversation can make a meaningful difference, and that every day is an opportunity to check in with family, friends and colleagues. HMPS Packing Automation Lite n’ Easy is looking to continue to drive operational efficiencies. One of the streams of work is through automation. Manual casepacking in MQF is an area identified to improve through readily available technology to transform how we place product into our cartons. The project scope covers 2 phases where 11 casepackers are to be installed delivering an annualised benefit of $2 Million. The project also transforms manual handling risk through eliminating a significant level of repetitive movements. Our first milestone in delivering packing automation to LnE has been completed! Delivery and installation of 2 automated casepackers in July from HMPS. Robot 6B and 7A. A lot of work has gone into commissioning the robots and training of the packing team. This has culminated in successful Site Acceptance Testing with both 6B and 7A passing with flying colours. The following 9 robots have been placed on order and will be installed over the following 6 months. A big thankyou to the project team, amazing work! Phil Rowell, Mike Dodson, Adrian Connell, Cameron PuruPeri, Aaron Smith, Debbie Osbourne, Lousie Watson and Matt Gee. With great maintenance support from Roy Franklin, Lloyd McMenemy, Shane Crowley and Mark Treeby.

Spiral 3 Upgrade Complete
Major refurbishment works have commenced on Spiral Freezer 2 as part of an important infrastructure upgrade. The project involves repairing and rebuilding the floor, walls and ceiling following ground movement in the area. To complete these works, the spiral freezer and cooler will be removed, followed by demolition of the existing structure. Once demolition is complete, rebuilding will begin, including new flooring, walls, ceilings and roofing. As part of the upgrade, Spiral Freezer 2 will also be converted from a tension drive system to a direct drive conveyor belt, bringing it in line with Spiral Freezers 3 and 4 and improving reliability and performance. The project is expected to be completed by midNovember, delivering a modernised and more efficient facility for the future.
Upgrade works on Spiral 3 have been successfully completed. The spiral has been modified to match Spiral 4, including replacing the steel belt with a plastic belt and upgrading from a tension drive to a direct drive system. These improvements are expected to improve reliability, reduce breakdowns and support more efficient operations.
Boiler Upgrade Project Underway Following the recent failure of one of our steam boilers, a replacement unit has been ordered. The existing 4MW boiler will be upgraded to a larger 6MW boiler, increasing capacity and supporting future operational needs. To ensure operations continue uninterrupted during the installation, a temporary boiler will be positioned outside the boiler house while the new system is commissioned. Thank you to everyone for your cooperation and understanding during the current works and as future works continue.

People & Culture Grow Program The Lite n’ Easy Grow Program continues to build momentum, with participants coming together in July for Workshop 3: Leading Together. The session focused on strengthening collaboration across teams, developing others through everyday leadership and exploring practical ways to create better outcomes for both people and the business. Building on the foundations established earlier in the program, leaders reflected on their own leadership habits, challenged assumptions and shared experiences with peers from across Lite n’ Easy. The workshop provided valuable opportunities to learn from one another while continuing to develop the skills needed to lead with confidence and impact. With another embed session coming up and the final workshop scheduled for September, participants will continue putting their learning into practice and supporting one another as they progress through their leadership journey.
P&C Team Site Tours As part of building a greater understanding of our operations, Kylie and Hayley recently visited the Louben site on 20 July, with Nat providing a guided tour and sharing insights into the site’s day-to-day operations. The visit followed an earlier tour of MQF, where Brenden supported the team in gaining valuable exposure to the facility and its operations. A big thank you to Nat and Brenden for their time and support in helping the P&C team strengthen its connection to our business and frontline teams.
The program continues to challenge me to think differently about leadership and provides practical tools I can apply with my team straight away.

Early reporting helps ensure injuries receive prompt attention, hazards are addressed quickly and recurring issues can be prevented.

Brisbane Townsville Visit Nat Barbosa (P&C) and Joe Crowley (Operations manager) took the time to visit our Townsville site, meeting the team in person and gaining a first-hand view of operations. The visit highlighted challenges around incoming delivery timing and the impact on workflow. It was great to see the strong morale and engagement across the team. Nat also jumped in to support pack-out, reinforcing a hands-on connection with the process. Townsville represents a key strategic piece in our Lite n’ Easy supply chain, allowing us to service 1500 customers a week in the far north of QLD.
Amazon visit As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence, a group of Lite n’ Easy leaders recently visited Amazon’s BWU2 Fulfilment Centre in Western Sydney. The facility is the largest fulfilment centre in the Southern Hemisphere, employing more than 3,000 team members across multiple shifts and spanning the equivalent of 24 rugby fields over three levels. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that safety, technology, and operational discipline are deeply embedded in every aspect of Amazon’s operation. The site combines advanced robotics, automated storage systems, extensive conveyor networks, and highly trained operators to fulfil thousands of customer orders every hour. Despite the high level of automation, we observed several manual processes similar to those used within Lite n’ Easy, reinforcing that technology works best when combined with capable and engaged people.
Cenobot Cleaner During May, the team at Lite n’ Easy Brisbane successfully trialled an autonomous vacuum and scrubber, achieving excellent results. The technology proved to be both safe and effective within our operating environment, consistently delivering a high standard of floor cleanliness. Prior to deployment, a series of comprehensive safety assessments were conducted to ensure the equipment could operate safely alongside our people, infrastructure, and daily activities. The unit successfully navigated complex pathways, including areas populated with totes, conveyors, and other operational obstacles, without incident. The trial demonstrated the potential for autonomous cleaning technology to enhance housekeeping standards while improving operational efficiency. DIGITAL NEWSLETTER – SEPTEMBER 2026 | PAGE 15

Following a lengthy approval process with the local council, our request to change the road surrounding the site from double-sided parking to one-sided parking has been approved. This positive outcome will improve traffic flow and visibility, creating a safer environment for staff members and truck drivers entering and exiting the site. The change supports safer vehicle movements and reduces potential traffic hazards around the facility. This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to workplace health, safety, and continuous risk reduction.
I am very impressed with the system and condition of the site. The whole facility is well-maintained, with lots of effort from everyone involved. You are holding the fort very well! I really enjoyed this audit. You would pass a BRC audit with flying colours!
A big thank you again to Mr Foo for his excellent leadership and maintaining a high standard for the whole site. Thank you also to the QA, Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Training Teams.

Recognising Great Work Sommerstone Deliveries Delivering Road Trains into our Perth site has been an ongoing challenge. Drivers had to park both trailers on the main road and bring them to the dock one at a time – slow at the best of times, and easily disrupted when the second trailer was blocked in. Rather than let it sit, Joanne and the Perth team sat down with Ryan, co-owner of Sommerstone, who flew over to work through the problem with us. Together they found a practical fix: space has been freed up on site so the second trailer can now wait in the yard while the first is unloaded at the dock. This is a genuine win for everyone – a smoother, safer and more efficient unloading process for our carriers, and a great example of what gets achieved when we stay open to change and go looking for solutions. Thank you also for the ongoing feedback and support from the wider team. Improvements like this don’t happen without everyone pitching in. Great work, Joanne – and thank you to the whole Perth team.

Sydney How we connect our Teams In June, we launched Engage across our Sydney, Brisbane, and Townsville operations, creating a central platform that brings our teams together and allows us to share what is happening at each location. Building relationships with colleagues across different states can be challenging, but since implementing this tool, we have slowly started getting to know one another despite the distance. Engage has enabled us to share insights, celebrate successes, and support each other by collaborating on solutions to common challenges. This will help strengthen connections between our sites, foster greater teamwork, and create a more connected and engaged workforce.
We’re going Digital Two digital noticeboards have recently been installed in the Sydney lunchroom to enhance communication and keep team members informed. These noticeboards provide a dedicated space for local updates and complement the content displayed on the People & Culture screens. It has been great to see so many team members stopping to check the noticeboards and stay up to date with local news and information throughout their shifts. The addition of these digital noticeboards has helped increase awareness of site activities, improve communication, and create greater engagement across the Sydney team.
This will help strengthen connections between our sites, foster greater teamwork, and create a more connected and engaged workforce.

Marketing Our tastiest spring yet! Spring is bringing plenty of fresh energy to Lite n’ Easy, with a delicious new menu and a new campaign to share it with Australia. We want to show people that losing weight doesn’t have to mean giving up meals they love or feeling like they’re making a sacrifice. Our new campaign puts great-tasting food at the heart of the story, backed by real people enjoying Lite n’ Easy and seeing results. And with a $99 five-day trial and our taste (money) back guarantee, we’re making it easier than ever for new customers to discover just how delicious healthy eating can be. Behind our new spring menu is an amazing effort from our R&D team, who have been busy creating what we believe is our tastiest menu yet. This season features nearly 200 meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner, including more than 30 delicious new meals to discover. The team has also gone back to more than 50 customer favourites, reworking and improving them to make them even better. It’s been a huge amount of work, all focused on giving our customers more variety, more choice and, most importantly, food they’ll really enjoy. Our customers are also at the heart of our spring campaign. We’re incredibly grateful to the people who not only share their inspiring weight-loss stories, but also generously give their time to help us show others what’s possible with Lite n’ Easy. This spring, you’ll see Matt, who has lost (41kg), Candice (10kg), Jocelyn (35kg), Brooke (17kg), Adam (13kg) and Tamara (47kg) sharing their stories. Their experiences bring our campaign to life in a way that only real customers can, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to each of them for helping inspire others on their own journey. And of course, none of this would come together without our fantastic Marketing team, who bring the food, stories and campaign to life across every channel. A huge amount of work happens behind the scenes to make a launch like this possible, and their energy, creativity and teamwork are what bring it all together. There’s a lot to be excited about this spring, and it’s been a fantastic team effort to bring it all to life. We can’t wait for our customers to discover our new menu and see the campaign out in the world.
