JURY REGULATIONS for the First Round Jury Liszt Utrecht 2025 1. General Conditions 1. The First round for the 2026 edition of Liszt Utrecht will be held on 10 and 11 January 2025 in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. 2. These regulations serve to inform the members of the First Round Jury of their rights and duties for the duration of the International Selection Rounds. Membership of the First Round Jury implies that members of the jury submit to the application of these regulations. 3. The Board of the Liszt Competition Foundation appoints the four members of the First Round Jury. The director serves as a non-voting chairman / secretary of the jury. 4. The Selection Jury is concerned with the selection of the participants for festival phase in January 2026 in accordance with the procedure laid down in these regulations. 5. The jury will attend all performances and assess each performer. 6. The chairman of the jury is responsible for the application and implementation of the jury regulations. The chairman does not have a vote in the jury consultations except when votes are equally divided. If, in the opinion of the chairman of the jury, a member of the jury is guilty of infringement of the regulations, the chairman is entitled to suspend that member of the jury. The Board has the final decision on the lifting of the suspension, the determination of the suspension for a certain duration, or dismissal of the jury member. 7. In the case of dismissal of a jury member, all of his or her votes and points will be disregarded. The remaining members still form an adequate International Selection Jury. 8. During the First round members of the jury are not allowed to have contact with candidates until the results have been made public. Members of the jury are not allowed to make any statements in public with regard to the candidates, the activities of the jury and/or the organisation. All announcements concerning the organisation, the order of the candidates and the results will be made by the chairman of the jury and/or through Liszt Utrechts official channels. 9. Members of the jury must refrain from verbal comment or any other communication during competitor performances. 10. At the discretion of the chairman, the jury members may engage in discussion during their deliberations. 11. Any disputes that arise during the First Round will be submitted by the chairman of the jury to the Board of the Stichting Liszt Concours, which will function as sole and final arbitrator. 12. The judgement of the chairman of the jury, expressed in the jury, is final. The same applies to the contents of any decision taken, unless it is a decision on which a vote took place by ballot as specified in II.3 of these regulations. 13. The chairman of the jury shall decide on all cases not covered by these jury regulations.
