EXPLORE WITH NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICBecause How You See It Matters

For more than 20 years, the unique collaboration between National Geographic and Lindblad Expeditions has defined modern expedition cruising, connecting travelers with transformative experiences that forge meaningful relationships between people and the planet. Every voyage blends the legendary exploration spirit of National Geographic with Lindblad Expeditions’ unmatched 60 years of expedition heritage.

SMALL SHIPS THAT TAKE YOU FARTHER

With more than 20 expedition and charter vessels, the fleet is among the largest and most varied in expedition cruising. Each small ship is designed to explore your destination—crafted for comfort, engineered for access and equipped to bring you up close to the remote and the remarkable.

TAKE GREAT PHOTOS WITH THE PROS

National Geographic Photographers have spent decades traveling the globe, capturing the world’s most impactful images. They join select expeditions—and a National GeographicLindblad Expeditions certified photo instructor accompanies every departure—to help travelers hone their camera skills in captivating places.

TRAVEL WITH A WORLD-CLASS TEAM

Voyages are led by veteran captains and guides along with National Geographic Expedition Experts,* with 110+ team members contributing a decade or more of fleet experience.

EXPLORE YOUR WAY, EVERY DAY

Itineraries feature a range of immersive activities that bring you into the pages of National Geographic magazine. All excursions are included unless otherwise noted, and each expedition offers options for every skill level so that you can explore your way—and at your own pace—every day. *Available on select departures.

LINDBLAD EXPEDITIONS

REVEALING UNDERSEA WONDERS

On most departures, an undersea specialist brings marine wonders to the surface by capturing and sharing underwater footage. During daily Recaps, the specialist interprets fascinating sea creatures and geological features, offering insights integral to the story of your destination.

PIONEERING RESPONSIBLE EXPLORATION

The ships in the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions fleet are designed to operate efficiently in some of the planet’s most remote regions, leveraging nimble design and carefully planned itineraries to reduce environmental impact. Thoughtful choices on board—from eliminating guest-facing single-use plastics to reducing food waste and sourcing locally grown ingredients—help minimize the fleet’s footprint while strengthening the communities it visits.

WHAT’S INCLUDED— AND MORE

Everything you need for a complete expedition experience is included—from immersive excursions and engaging talks to meals, alcoholic beverages, onboard amenities, airport transfers, Wi-Fi and more.

To further enhance your journey, we also offer a range of optional customizations, including premium alcoholic beverages, spa treatments, additional excursions, photobooks and handcrafted keepsakes—so you can tailor the experience to your preferences.

UNCOMMON VOYAGES FOR THE WELL-TRAVELED EXPLORER

For many, expedition travel brings to mind the world’s wildest destinations. But some of the most rewarding journeys happen in places that seem more familiar—Japan’s iconic cities, European coastlines you may have traveled before, and Caribbean or South Pacific islands you last visited on your honeymoon.

With time to explore more deeply—and the unique perspective of National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions—these regions reveal more. You move beyond the main sites into the details that give each destination its character, reaching places that are rarely part of a conventional itinerary and seeing how landscapes, cultures and histories connect.

Step aboard a small ship in the National GeographicLindblad Expeditions fleet, and go beyond the usual routes to explore the world more deeply. Along the way, a team of experts shares their knowledge, adding depth and context at every step. It’s an approach that allows you to go beyond simply seeing a place, to truly understanding it.

A Different Rhythm

Enjoy a thoughtful balance between time ashore and time on the water, with days unfolding at a pace that invites deeper exploration. Mornings might begin with an excursion, followed by time on board to reflect, review photos or attend a talk that adds context to what you’ve seen—whether gaining insight into riverside villages along the Mekong or the Brahmaputra, or taking in the Caribbean’s turquoise seas from the ship’s open Bridge.

A Community at Sea

These voyages invite curious travelers who are eager to go beyond the surface. It’s a shared mindset that shapes the experience on board. Conversations come easily, whether over meals or during excursions. What emerges is a sense of connection—not just to the places you visit, but to the people you’re traveling with.

Beyond the Expected

Each of these uncommon journeys is designed to span regions and perspectives. Some routes trace cultural and geographic connections across vast distances— from Alaska to northern Japan, or from Easter Island to Tahiti. Others take a fresh look at well-known areas, like the Mediterranean islands of Sicily and Malta or Japan’s lesser-visited western shores. The result is a broader, more complete view—one that places each destination in a richer context.
