FALL 2026 NEWSLETTER We are thrilled to host the Michigan Humanities traveling exhibition from December 19, 2026-January 30, 2027! Michigan Humanities will bring a new traveling exhibit to the library highlighting the history, culture, and contemporary experiences of Michigan’s Anishinaabek people. Created by state scholar Eric Hemenway, the exhibit will offer an opportunity to learn more about Anishinaabek communities and their enduring presence in Michigan. Stay tuned for more information on programming and events surrounding the exhibit in January.
Exhibition Opening Night and Celebration Friday, December 18 at 6 pm Join us for a special evening celebrating the history, culture, and contemporary experiences of Michigan’s Anishinaabek people. The opening will feature the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians/Pokégnek Bodéwadmik, including a special invocation and drum circle, along with refreshments. We look forward to welcoming the community for this meaningful evening of learning, reflection, and connection.

Community Read Along November 23-December 30 Celebrate our upcoming Michigan Humanities exhibition by reading The Birchbark House by Louise Erdrich. Pick up a free copy, share your thoughts on our Community Read Along Wall, and join us December 30 for a discussion and themed activities inspired by the book. Books available while supplies last. SUPPORT THE LIBRARY A goal of our recent library revitalization was to create a beautiful space for our visitors. Have you ever looked at our new fireplace and thought “They really need some beautiful artwork above it”? We think so too! The Lincoln Township Library Foundation is thrilled to announce a new project working with glass artist Carolyn O’Hearn of Fusion Studio Glass and Josh Andres, metal artist. We envision a beautiful installation above the new fireplace that reflects the piece in our foyer, “Whirlwind of Knowledge,” designed by Cindy Fielding of Fusion Studio Glass. Books will take wing from their places on shelves above the fireplace and fly into the heavens.
This rendering represents the vision and overall concept for a future donor recognition art display. Final design, materials, and layout may vary. Each piece will be handmade and personalized with the donor’s choice of text or graphic*. The color palette will reflect the library’s branding.

Halloween Lock-In Friday, October 16 from 6 pm – 12 am Tweens/Teens aged 12-15 are invited to a special lockin event. There will be games, crafts, refreshments, and more. Registration with parent’s permission is required.
DIGITAL LAB Tech Questions Every Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm Stop in Wednesdays from 2–4 p.m. for one-on-one help with computers, mobile devices, or online library resources. No appointment needed; first come, first serve. Maker Studio Sessions Want to try a new craft, but don’t have time to attend a program? Schedule a one-on-one session with one of our staff members to learn different crafts, from digital art to physical media.
