This year's Students in Free Enterprise team were serious about their work and were always ready to

The business world means a lot to these Limestone students and it was certainly proven with this year's competition. The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team, led by SIFE President Lindsay Lee, were named 2nd runners up at this year's regional competition. It was a year like no other because for the first time ever, the LC SIFE team was named as a finalist in the National Program Sustainability Competition m:I was awarded $500 from GE Consumer Products. Next year, the elected officers have high expectations with new challenges in hopes of continuing their success by again getting right down to business.

This was a year like no other for the Social Work Department, including the Student Organization of Social Workers. In the years past, Mrs. Penni Griffin has successfully managed the program, making it one of the most popular majors on and off campus. Unfortunately, this year Mrs. Griffin had to step down from her role as Director and Assistant Dean of the Social Work program because of health reasons. Professor Jackie Puckett was promoted to take Mrs. Griffin's place in managing the program. The Student Organization of Social Workers is adjusting to the change while being highly involved in the community. This year, the organization has volunteered on numerous occasions to help raise money for the Hurricane Katrina victims, the local soup kitchen, and a local homeless shelter. The group continues to work hard for individuals who need them, second cou nt.

During the spring semester of the 2005-06 academic year, the Psychology Club, under Dr. Van Morrow's supervision, went to the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Society in New York City. They were able to hear nationally known speakers at the convention in addition to visiting cultural sights in the city. The experience was educational and certainly unforgettable for the Psychology Club students.

Under Dr. Duane Lundy's leadership, the Limestone College Research Group, consisting primarily of students from the Experimental Psychology class, attended the Annual Conference of the South Carolina D ivision of the American Psychological Association. It was the first year the Conference was held in Greenville, SC. The students were able to present a research project in a poster session in order to display some of their work.

This year, the Student Government Association was able to get highly involved by offering many activities for the Limestone College Student Body. SGA provided many big events during Orientation, Midterms, Homecoming, and Spring Fling to include bowling, movie nights, casino nights, dances, and comedy shows.This was the second year the group organized Rock 'n Bowl to support the Salvation Army Toy Drive. The Limestone College Student Government Association also presented Mr. G in concert. It was a year like no other for SGA as well as for the Limestone student body.

Beauty and the Beast, produced with the Limestone College Music Department and Arts Council, was a huge success in the Gaffney community. The Last Night of 8alIyhoo showcased the talents of some of Limestone's finest

actors. Lovers, directed by Senior EnglishlTheatre Major Matthew Herman, was a poignant production set outside on Limestone's campus lawn. The Theatre Department grew this year to have 13 Theatre and EnglishfTheatre Majors. The Theatre Department was proud to represent Limestone at a Speech and Theatre Festival at USC Aiken. They faced tough competition and placed in 3 events, including Solo Acting, Duet Acting, and Impromptu Speaking.
