One main purpose of a college education is to expose students to structured opportunities that challenge them to develop their ability to think . As college students, we learn to consider each individual element or aspect of a situation and then combine or synthesize the results to realize what we believe to be "the truth." Th is "light of truth" is our ultimate goal, and the primary purpose of Limestone College is to lead us "toward the light." In our sojurn here, we learn that viewpoints differ and that if the analysis of a single element is changed, the outcome often will be altered . We also learn the "the years of life flow swiftly and change m ust come to all." College years are a time to realize there are many angles from which to construct the truth . "The Rock" is a firm foundation on which to build. On the Calciid cover we see individuals who se years at Limestone are nearing completion; they have reached the summit and stretch for the sun, the illuminating light of know ledge, in their quest for truth. Yet they now know that the light is forever elusive and that they may have to alter their approach - to take a different angle. So, in the pages of this volume, let us take a look at our beloved "Rock," Limestone College, from a new angle - but always with an unchanging "heart's devotion." Table of Contents/3

You've made us learn to respect others, as you've respected us. Much like a mother : you've made sure we stayed healthy, both mentally and physically; you've made sure we had access to whatever we needed, and whenever we've needed you, you've always been here. You've made us feel right at home. Much like a mother: you've driven us crazy and you've made us laugh aloud; you've kept us enticed, and forced us to listen even when we didn't want to.
