Lignum

Lignum, Swiss Woodworking Industry Lignum, Holzwirtschaft Schweiz Lignum, Economie suisse du bois Lignum, Holzwirtschaft Schweiz, is the parent organization of the Swiss forestry and timber industry. It brings together all the main associations and organizations in the timber chain, Institutions in the fields of research and education, public corporations and a large number of architects and engineers. Through its services in technology and communication in all parts of Switzerland, Lignum gives an identity to an industry with more than 80000 jobs ranging from forestry via sawmills, timber merchants, production of derived timber products, paper manufacturing, packaging and pallet industry, carpentry, joinery and furniture production to the ultimate consumer of timber products.
