Having a good smile can not only make someone look more attractive but can also have an impact on many other aspects of a person’s life, including their personal and professional relationships. Surveys show that a nice smile can boost one’s self-esteem and improve confidence level.

They only appear short or tiny because they are covered with excessive gum tissue. This can be fixed by removing the excess tissue to expose more of the tooth structure. The tissue can also be reshaped to allow for a more even gum line. Careful contouring can remove excess gum tissues surrounding the teeth, revealing a more aesthetically appealing smile.

Gums that extend too far over a natural tooth can be more difficult to clean and keep free of pockets that harbor harmful bacteria. A lengthened crown is more hygienic and easier to clean, reducing the chances of gum disease later on.

For those curious or debating, she took the time this month to answer some common hair extension questions for us.

“People are understanding how much more accessible they are and how low-maintenance they’ve become!” WHY THE RISE IN POPULARITY? They’ve become more of an affordable service and more time-efficient. I also think people are understanding how much more accessible they are and how low-maintenance they’ve become. WHAT TYPE OF EXTENSIONS DO YOU OFFER? We offer a ton of different methods in hair extensions. Our favorite method (which my entire staff has been trained and certified in) is a sew-in volume weft. They take about an hour to install and the hair brand we use (Bellami) has lasted some of our clients an entire year before having to purchase new ones. HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN THEM? Maintaining them is super easy: you wash them like you’d wash your own hair, blow dry and style like normal! We always send our guests home with retail included, so we know they have the right product to maintain them at home. Before bed, we

recommend brushing and putting your hair in a loose braid. As for color, we can always color them darker. Typically they come matched, or we custom color them to blend perfectly and tone them if they start getting brassy from the sun or swimming pool. HOW OFTEN DO YOU HAVE TO MOVE THEM UP? Every 6-8 weeks. We typically move them up at the same appointment as your color service. It takes about 15 minutes. WHO DO YOU RECOMMEND HAIR EXTENSIONS FOR? We think anyone’s a candidate for hair extensions! Even in a seller’s market, it is important for the house to show well, which includes keeping it clean and tidy for showings and an open house.

If you are aware of any major issues that you’ve been putting off correcting, it is best to correct them prior to listing the home. Even though in this current market your home will likely sell regardless of any known issues being corrected or not, having major issues corrected will prevent leery buyers from backing out after a home inspection. Plus, a house with no major issues will attract higher offers. For these reasons, a pre-listing inspection is very helpful!

Don’t get hung up on listing your house for the highest price possible. In this current market, houses are actually selling higher when the house is listed at a more reasonable asking price because it will attract more interested buyers at that price level and create competition and desire, which ultimately drives the offers higher. Listing the house too high could result in a limited number of interested buyers with offers more limited to the asking price.

Be ready to move, both physically and emotionally. Many homeowners who have raised their family in their home end up having a hard time letting go once purchase offers come in. Hesitation or even considering backing out of a purchase because you realize that you just aren’t emotionally ready will create a lot of frustration for all parties (and possibly even legal consequences).
