David Manning Architecture brings a personal, solution-oriented approach to design in West Austin and the surrounding areas. With a background in both architecture and fine arts, David combines technical expertise, creative thinking, and a deep focus on human connection in every project. His client-first philosophy is clear from the start. Manning listens closely to understand how people live, what inspires them, and what challenges their properties present. “I love being challenged,” he says. “I have the mindset that we will come up with a solution.” That approach has guided him through projects ranging from waterfront homes to complex zoning and elevation changes. One standout example is the Lake Travis Waterfront House, his fifth collaboration with the same family. The home’s elevated foundation meets new floodplain regulations while maintaining elegant proportions. A folded plane ceiling, glass front entry, and steel finishes bring together engineering and beauty in equal measure. Sustainability is another guiding principle in Manning’s work. His firm integrates natural shading, continuous insulation, and energy-efficient methods like Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS).
