What I’ve found is that the best style is an authentic expres sion of who you really are. And that’s something no one on earth can duplicate.

Speaking of unique experiences, I recently had the incredible honor of ringing the closing bell at Nasdaq with a partner and dear public relations colleague. This moment was a profound testament to the power of perseverance, community, and the pursuit of one's passions. Two years ago, I took a leap of faith in starting my own business in marketing, working with local and global brands. Focused, dedicated, and with many sacrifices, here we are.

I studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) and went on to design my own line, Bump Couture in 2006, which had a global following. After pausing my career to raise my children, I knew I wanted to return to fashion with a fresh perspective. R. Brooklyn allows me to bring my passion for design into every buying decision, ensuring each piece is meticulously chosen for quality, fit, and style.”

Katie’s extensive experience in the fashion industry, including designing a specialty line for Target, underpins the unique offerings at R. Brooklyn. “Knowing where a garment starts and how it is created, along with an understanding of fabrics, dyes, and stitching, is incredibly helpful when buying,” Katie explains.

The name R. Brooklyn holds personal significance for Katie. “It combines my daughters’ middle names—‘R’ from my youngest, named after her great-grandmother, and ‘Brooklyn’ from my oldest. It’s a tribute to my family and a constant reminder of my inspirations,” she adds.
