In The Rhythm Of It All

There’s a quiet kind of magic in the way women move through their everyday lives. It’s in the early mornings, the late nights, the balancing acts no one else sees. It’s in the way we show up for our families, our friends, our work, and ourselves even when life feels full to the brim. This issue is a celebration of that rhythm. Not just the big milestones or highlight moments, but the in between spaces where real life happens. It’s about the woman building her business while juggling a hundred responsibilities, the friend who always checks in, the mom learning as she goes, and the girl discovering who she’s becoming. Lifestyle, at its core, isn’t about perfection it’s about intention. It’s about finding joy in your routines, confidence in your choices, and balance in a world that constantly asks for more. It’s giving yourself permission to grow, to rest, to evolve, and to redefine what fulfillment looks like in each season of life. In these pages, you’ll find inspiration, yes but more importantly, you’ll find relatability. Because behind every story is a woman figuring it out, just like you. So here’s your reminder: you don’t have to do it all, and you don’t have to do it perfectly. You just have to keep showing up in a way that feels true to you.

letter from the PUBLISHER

There is something truly powerful about women supporting women, and this issue is a celebration of that strength, resilience, and connection. This month we are proud to share stories of inspiring female entrepreneurs, and dedicated leaders who are shaping our community in meaningful ways. It’s an honor to showcase the incredible women behind these local, female owned businesses women who took a leap of faith, trusted their vision, and built something of their own. As a mother of four strong, determined girls, this issue holds an even deeper meaning for me. Every day, I’m reminded that they are watching, learning, and forming their understanding of what it means to be a woman in today’s world. I want them to grow up seeing examples of courage, independence, kindness, and ambition. I want them to know that their voices matter, that their dreams are valid, and that there is no limit to what they can achieve. What inspires me most about the women featured in this issue is not just their success, but their willingness to lift others along the way. It’s about creating space, opening doors, and cheering each other on. This issue is a reminder that behind every business is a story of late nights, hard decisions, perseverance, and passion. It’s a reminder that when you choose to support a local woman owned business, you’re doing more than making a purchase you’re investing in a dream, a family, and a future. To every woman reading this: whether you’re building something, balancing everything, or just trying to find your next step, you are powerful and worthy of everything you’re working toward. And to my girls, and yours: may you grow up knowing your strength, embracing your individuality, and never being afraid to take up space.

BECKY HILLYARD

From Side Hustle to Style Empire

The power of taste, trust, and the courage to “just start.”

She didn’t have a business plan, a media budget, or even a name anyone could pronounce. What Becky Hillyard had was taste, a young family, and the instinct to just start. Today, her lifestyle brand Cella Jane commands an audience the size of Vogue’s , she’s nine collections strong with Splendid, and she’s built it all while raising three kids — refusing to sacrifice one for the other. In an exclusive conversation for the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Becky shares what it really takes to build a brand, a career, and a life you love. Read the highlights below, then scan the QR code for the full conversation.

Q: WHEN DID YOU KNOW CELLA JANE WAS MORE THAN A HOBBY?

A: Two moments. Women started emailing me saying they bought something I recommended and felt amazing — asking me to help them find a dress for a wedding. That felt incredible. Then I looked at my affiliate numbers for one month and realized I could cover our mortgage. I thought, I can actually do this. I never set out to build a business. I started it because I genuinely loved it. Becky in Splendid x @CellaJaneBlog Spring 2026 Collection

Q: WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST RISK YOU EVER TOOK WITH THE BRAND?

A: Designing my own collection. It’s easy to point at items on a website and say I love these. But to create something from scratch, put your name on it, and wait to see if people connect with it — that’s terrifying. I had an incredible partner in Splendid, and women loved the pieces. It was the biggest risk and the biggest accomplishment.

Q: HOW HAS INFLUENCER MARKETING CHANGED SINCE YOU STARTED?

A: When I started, brands didn’t know whether to take it seriously. Now it’s a legitimate line item in their marketing budgets — sometimes bigger than TV. Because what we’ve built is trust. People trust a real recommendation from someone they follow far more than a commercial. There’s no question about it now.

Q: YOU’RE A MOM OF THREE RUNNING A FULL BRAND. WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?

A: I try to get up at five and not hit snooze — that first hour before the house wakes up is the most productive, most peaceful hour of my day. Then it’s all hands on deck with the kids and school drop-off. After that I work — planning content, connecting with my team, editing. After pickup, the day shifts completely and it’s all about them. I’ve learned to protect both halves fiercely, because both matter.

Q: WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BUILD SOMETHING OF THEIR OWN BUT KEEPS WAITING?

A: Don’t wait. Don’t wait for the perfect camera, the right strategy, or enough followers. We find every excuse to stay comfortable. Just start, be consistent, and be authentically yourself. The right people will find you — and they’ll stay.

This conversation is just the beginning. Becky goes deeper on the risks that almost stopped her, the design process behind her latest Splendid collection, and what she’d tell her 2012 self today. Scan the QR code for the full, exclusive City Lifestyle interview on the Share the Lifestyle podcast.

“Trust is the only metric that actually compounds.”

Stronger Every Step Forward

Kayla Curtis shares how fitness, community, and consistency empower women to build strength, confidence, and lasting health

Kayla Curtis has built her career around one core belief: when women feel strong, they show up differently in every area of their lives. As a co-owner of seven Orangetheory Fitness studios across the Phoenix metro area, her focus goes far beyond workouts. It is about creating spaces where women feel supported, confident, and capable from the moment they walk through the door.

Her background in Exercise and Sports Science, paired with years in education and coaching, shaped her approach early on. “The common thread has always been empowering people to grow stronger and more confident,” Curtis shares. That mission now plays out daily inside her studios, where women of all ages commit to their health in ways that feel sustainable and realistic.

Curtis emphasizes that fitness is not one-size-fits-all, especially for women. “Our bodies change throughout life… hormones, pregnancy, stress, and aging all impact how we feel,” she explains. That

is why a combination of strength training and cardio, paired with consistency, becomes so impactful. It is less about perfection and more about showing up.

For many women, the hardest part is simply starting. “Everyone in that room started somewhere,” Curtis says. “No one walks into their first workout feeling completely confident.” That reminder, paired with a supportive community, helps shift the experience from intimidating to empowering.

Beyond the physical results, she sees transformation happen mentally and emotionally. “I see women walk in stressed… and walk out feeling lighter, more confident, and more in control.” That hour becomes more than a workout. It becomes a reset.

Her advice is simple but powerful: “Start before you feel ready and focus on consistency, not perfection.” Because in the end, the women who see lasting results are not the most motivated. They are the ones who keep showing up.
