Investment

Investment. It’s a word we often associate with numbers, portfolios and long-term strategies. By definition, it means dedicating time, energy or resources with the expectation of a worthwhile return. But in our world, it means something even deeper.

At its core, investment is about belief.

Belief in a business owner chasing a vision.

Belief in a young entrepreneur building something that could change how we work.

Belief in a mother who shows up not only for her family, but for other moms in her community.

Belief in voices that inspire, like meeting Tim Tebow and witnessing firsthand the power of a message rooted in purpose and faith.

Every month, we have the privilege of investing in this community by shining a light on the people and businesses shaping it. Supporting local schools, nonprofits, restaurants, retailers and innovators isn’t just good economics, it’s how we strengthen the very fabric of where we live.

Financial investments build security.

Personal investments build legacy.

Community investments build impact.

We see it daily when neighbors support neighbors, when readers walk into a featured business for the first time, when a story inside these pages helps elevate growth for a local brand. That ripple effect is meaningful to us. It’s why we do what we do.

This edition is filled with powerful voices who are not waiting for change, they are creating it. They are investing boldly in ideas, relationships and the future of our cities.

As you turn these pages, we encourage you to think beyond dollars and cents. Where are you investing your time? Your influence? Your heart?

Because every intentional investment, in your family, your business and your community is an act of hope.

Here’s to a month of growth, connection and meaningful returns.

With gratitude,

‘ZEN-FUL’ MEETING SPACES, FABULOUS INVESTMENTS

ZENTRY PASS: FLEXIBLE, EMPOWERING WAY FOR TEAMS, COMMUNITIES TO THRIVE

Imagine having instant access to various places to work, meet or celebrate, depending on mission, inspiration, locale, perk or ‘just because.’ Two St. Louis area information technology entrepreneurs make such passports available through a company they launched during mid-2025: Zentry Pass. Zentry Pass CEO and co-founder Karly Lamm says she and co-founder, Terry Hammett, CTO, simplified the ability to secure flexible workspaces and special event locations by establishing an upscale software platform, curated marketplace and online network via 100-plus partners throughout the United States.

Werqwise San Fran

“Having choices about where to work or meet can help employees, teams, proprietors, leaders and organizers feel the most motivated and productive,” Karly explains. “The Zen portion of our name embodies ease of access to worklife balance.”

Zentry Pass clients can access premium coworking spaces and meeting rooms on demand through two platforms called Employer Memberships or The Public Marketplace with an optional passport feature for one-time needs.

“We’re an affordable, lean product and modern gateway for companies, and we’re constantly scaling up,” says Karly.

She says they’re an ideal solution for small- to mid-sized companies with 50 employees or less. “We’re also a good fit for sales teams, newly forming venture businesses, work groups who travel frequently or colleagues who are spread out geographically. Creative and marketing teams tend to like us because we can provide a different ambiance that lifts them out of what could be called work environment fatigue.”

The two business partners became fast friends after previously combining their skills to work together on a start-up, one that Walmart acquired. Karly says that experience prompted them to ask themselves: “What if there was a way to give employees the flexibility they crave while giving employers the visibility they need?”

Coworking and workspace sharing is a relatively recent, yet popular, concept because it offers flexibility, connectivity and improved well-being without the rigidity of traditional office settings.

Karly says employers can secure Zentry Pass access at a flat rate, which includes a dashboard for monitoring check-ins of employees. Access is available in bundles at discounted rates, too. Individual, or single-day, access also

can be secured for groups that need meeting space or conference rooms, such as presenters, PTOs, nonprofit boards or community-oriented committees.

“We look for and vet all the meeting areas so that we’re providing the best of the best. Some of the meeting spaces reflect the personalities of their cities, some are inspiring with graffiti or other art, others are independent spaces with unique charm. Some even have sports simulators; others are historic,” she adds.

She says some of the spaces come with the opportunities to have activities, kitchenettes, entertainment facilities, beverage taps and technology or office support such as high-speed internet, TV screens, white boards, projectors and printers.

While employers currently have dashboards for seeing employee activity and managing their accounts, Terry and Karly are working on some new Zentry Pass features that would give clients the ability to manage their own dashboards and memberships. Those updates are slated to roll out this summer.

“We make sure our clients can expect consistency, trust and professionalism, no matter what locations they need,” Karly assures.

How Mom’s Extra Hands is Helping St. Louis Families

In the heart of the Midwest, where family ties run deep and everyday schedules can feel overwhelming, many parents are seeking more than just a break. They crave support that feels personal and genuinely helpful. Enter Mom’s Extra Hands, an organizing and concierge service that’s quietly becoming a go-to resource for households.  Extra Hands Owner Emily Dyall says, “I like to say Mom’s Extra Hands is an all-in-one package.

Do you have a space that needs to be decluttered and organized? Dishes, laundry, meal prep, errands or the house tidied? You got it.

“Our services are designed to simplify every season of your life. We do one-off services as well as weekly or bi-weekly to help be that guiding hand through life. Mom’s Extra Hands is designed to be an all-in-one support system for the home. Whether a space needs to be decluttered and organized, the laundry and dishes have piled up, meals need to be prepped, errands need to be run, or the house simply needs to be reset — we step in.”

Mom’s Extra Hands is built on a simple idea: families shouldn’t have to do it all alone. While many home services might focus on a single task, this service combines organizing skills with everyday support that adapts to unique needs. It doesn’t matter if there's an overflowing laundry basket or a sink full of dishes, Emily says Mom’s Extra Hands brings peace of mind back into the home.

Busy parents juggle careers, school functions and daily essentials like home organization and grocery shopping. Services like Mom’s Extra Hands aren’t about doing the work for parents; they’re about empowering families to focus on what matters most.

Imagine walking into a kitchen where the pantry has a place for everything and closets are organized just how you like them. Or picture having someone available to tackle errands for you.

It's more than reduced chores; it's gaining time back. Time with family and time to get out and enjoy life. Whether one is a working parent or someone who simply has too much on their plate, this kind of support can bring extra solace.

“Our clients aren’t just hiring help with laundry, dishes, organizing or errands. They’re investing in reclaimed hours, lighter mental load and the freedom to be more present, with their families, their work and themselves.” said Emily.

She says asking for help isn’t a luxury; it’s a smart choice that lets parents be present in the moments they won’t get back. With support like Mom’s Extra Hands, the everyday becomes a little easier, and family life becomes just a little nicer.

Strategic Wardrobe Investments Create Confidence, Versatility And Polished Presence In Every Setting

ARTICLE BY AUDRA HARROLD

BETH GUNTER

Partner and Chief Experience Officer, Spry Digital

For Beth Gunter, her investment piece is a black leather jacket, a staple that anchors her wardrobe with intention and edge. Her clothing choices fall into clear buckets: how it feels, its versatility, and whether it works for both work and play. In leadership, first impressions matter, so what she wears must support the persona she presents: confident, approachable and fashionable. As she explains, “This black leather jacket empowers me to approach and feel comfortable in any situation, while giving me some edginess.”

For Keith Fuller, it’s about investing in a well-fitted suit. He prioritizes quality fabrics and timeless patterns over cheaper options, noting that fit and fabrication truly matter. “There’s something about how a well-fitted suit brings out my confidence when I enter a space such as the courtroom.” Too often, men overlook the value of proper tailoring, as it elevates the entire look.

World-Renowned Harmony STL Says Event Could Bring Millions In Revenue To The City That Has ‘Music In Its DNA’

Some 6,000 visitors are expected to descend on St. Louis from June 28 through July 5, 2026, for the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2026 International Convention.

“That level of attendance could translate to between $3.8 million and $7.8 million in direct visitor spending, with additional ripple effects potentially bringing total business sales into the $6- to $12-million range,” says Shelly Snow-Pordea, local author, Visions of Harmony member, and executive vice president of Harmony STL.

The Convention is the Society’s flagship and highest-level annual competition event and draws thousands of singers, judges, educators and fans from around the world, including world-class competitions, large-scale concerts, educational sessions and community-focused events.

Founded in 1938, the Barbershop Harmony Society is an international nonprofit dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of barbershop harmony. The Society represents tens of thousands of singers worldwide and emphasizes vocal precision, emotional storytelling and community connection.

St. Louis is home to many of the Society’s most respected and influential arrangers, educators, directors and vocal coaches. It also is home to Harmony STL, the Society's first chapter of its kind with a high-voice chorus, Visions of Harmony; mixed-voice youth singers under 25, The Recruits; and low-voice chorus, Ambassadors of Harmony. Each chorus is led by world-renowned directors, who have all placed in the top 20 a capella groups in the world. Ambassadors of Harmony is a five-time International Chorus Champion, recognized around the globe for their artistic excellence.

Robert Rund, a St. Louis native and CEO of the Barbershop Harmony Society, says what makes St. Louis “the perfect place” for the art form is that music is simply part

“They inspire future singers, elevate local ensembles and reinforce St. Louis’ role as a city that actively produces and supports high-level performing arts.”

of St. Louis’ DNA. “I can’t tell you how special it feels to invite the world to my hometown for our International Convention. I grew up surrounded by the sounds that have shaped American music, the legacy of ragtime, the blues echoing up from the Mississippi River, the pulse of jazz, and the birth of rock ’n’ roll. Music is part of this city’s DNA.”

Robert says there’s nothing quite like the sound of voices ringing in harmony, “and there’s no better backdrop for it than a city with a musical story as rich as ours. We’re beyond excited to welcome singers and fans from around the globe to the Gateway City and to celebrate the role St. Louis has played, and continues to play, in shaping the soundtrack of America. And on the nation's 250th Anniversary, no less.”

Shelly says the economic impact on St. Louis cannot be understated. “The Events Industry Council says convention participants in the U.S. spend an average of $1,294 per attendee between lodging, meals, local transportation and shopping. So, if 6,000 people attend, that’s an estimated $7.8 million in direct visitor spending.”

Still, while the economic impact of hosting an international convention is measurable in visitor spending and hotel nights, the deeper impact is cultural and communal, says Shelly.

There is an investment of time and talent as Harmony STL is largely sustained by volunteers. Singers devote evenings and weekends to rehearsal, performance and mentorship.

And hosting the international convention strengthens the local infrastructure by spotlighting St. Louis talent and energizing arts participation across the region.

As a native St. Louisan, Shelly says, “Stepping into a community filled with world-renowned arrangers and record-holding singers has been genuinely surreal. It’s a reminder that we don’t always recognize the extraordinary things we have right in front of us.”

Harmony STL also actively invests in arts education by raising funds to fully cover participation costs for members of The Recruits youth chorus. Through community support and fundraising, students participate in elite-level choral training, travel and competition at no cost to their families. This model ensures access to high-level music education regardless of financial background and strengthens the pipeline of young artists in the region.

“Since the convention is open to the public, it provides an accessible entry point into a national arts network,” says Shelly. “Community members can attend competitions and performances, purchase event passes and volunteer in various capacities.”

She adds that the event creates momentum that extends well beyond the week of competition. “They inspire future singers, elevate local ensembles and reinforce St. Louis’ role as a city that actively produces and supports high-level performing arts.”

2026 Marble Trends

When thinking of the term investment, we often picture financial portfolios, yet some of the smartest investments are the ones we live with every day. Marble has long symbolized refinement and permanence, and in 2026, its evolution proves timeless materials never truly fade, they appreciate.

While soft greys and creamy neutrals remain classic, designers are embracing richer finishes. Deep reds, inky greens, warm browns and bold veining are transforming marble from minimalist staple to statement centerpiece.

“Marble brings both artistry and longevity into a space,” says TJ Price of Thompson Price Kitchens Baths & Home. “When thoughtfully selected and installed, it not only elevates the design, it becomes part of the home’s long-term value story.”

Beyond beauty, marble signals craftsmanship and intention, qualities buyers consistently seek. Whether featured in kitchens, baths or architectural details, marble enhances everyday living while strengthening long-term resale appeal.

An investment in marble is an investment in enduring style.

during open houses. Here, where community events and neighborhood charm are part of daily life, the housing market tends to mirror that attitude. Front porches become gathering spaces again, and backyards hint at warm evenings and parties ahead.

At Susan Brewer Service First Real Estate, the philosophy is simple: service comes first, no matter the season. While spring can mean busy days and nights, the approach remains steady and relationship-driven. Susan adds, “You can reach me any time by phone or email to set up a meeting.”

Real estate offers the rare combination of financial potential and everyday value, building equity over time while providing stability, comfort and a place to create lasting memories. “Owning a home allows you to work toward equity and finishing out your mortgage," says Susan.

As the sidewalks fill with neighbors enjoying longer days, Susan Brewer Service First Real Estate helps clients navigate with confidence. In a season defined by renewal, having a trusted local expert makes all the difference.

When ready to explore options, reaching out is the first simple step. Redefining MVP: TIM TEBOW’S LIFE BEYOND FOOTBALL

An exclusive Q&A with City Lifestyle

PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED

From championship trophies to global humanitarian impact, Tim Tebow’s journey has defied every standard playbook. In an exclusive conversation for the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Tebow pulls back the curtain on the moments that truly defined him, from a humbling middle school church retreat to the life-altering shift of fatherhood. This isn’t just a look back at a career; it’s an invitation into the heart of a man driven by purpose. Read the highlights below, then join us for the full, unfiltered experience by scanning the QR code at the end.

Q: WE ALL KNOW YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD, BUT TELL US ABOUT THE CURL CONTEST.

A: I was competing for my future high school team (my brother’s team), and I pushed myself way past what was smart. I ended up collapsing and needing medical attention. But what stayed with me wasn’t the pain, it was the lesson. Would I be willing to do something that others aren’t? For much of my life, I strived to bring my best for a game, but I hope that I can say at the end of my life I was willing to do that for things that actually matter.

Q: YOU’VE ACHIEVED SO MUCH IN SPORTS. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT NOW?

A: Becoming a dad. Nothing compares. From the moment I knew my wife was pregnant, I felt a new depth of love for our child, but when you bring your baby home, the responsibility hits you like nothing else. Suddenly, everything you see, every decision you make, you’re asking, “Is this corner too sharp? What happens if she reaches that drawer?” It changes how you see the world and how you see other people.

Q: YOU’VE SPOKEN OPENLY ABOUT DISAPPOINTMENT, ESPECIALLY AROUND FOOTBALL. HOW DID THAT SEASON OF LIFE SHAPE YOU?

A: I talked a lot about that very thing in my book Shaken . We all go through moments where our faith in our abilities and purpose feels rattled, but I believe it’s often in those storms when God can show us who we could become.

Q: YOU TALK A LOT ABOUT COMPARISON CULTURE. WHY DO YOU BELIEVE COMPARISON HAS BECOME SUCH A TRAP TODAY?

A: Because we’re comparing our real, everyday lives to someone else’s highlight reel. Social media shows people’s “best day,” often filtered and staged, and then we measure our reality against that. There’s a reason filters are so popular—it’s not real. We end up scrolling through images that don’t tell the full story, and without realizing it, comparison starts to steal our joy and our gratitude.

“We’re comparing our real, everyday lives to someone else’s highlight reel... comparison starts to steal our joy.”

Q: YOUR FOUNDATION FOCUSES ON THE “MOST VULNERABLE.” WHERE DID THAT CALLING BEGIN?

A: When I was 15, I met a boy in the Philippines who was treated as a throwaway because he was born with physical differences. That moment changed me. I realized God was calling me to pursue a different kind of MVP, not “Most Valuable Player,” but “Most Vulnerable People.”

Q: FINALLY, WHAT’S ONE THING PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

A: I have some weird coffee habits, which include protein powder, collagen, and cream all mixed together. I love golf dates with my wife. And every night, I bring snacks to bed to share with our dogs. It brings me more joy than it probably should.

This conversation barely scratches the surface. Tim goes deeper into the moments that rattled him, the joys of fatherhood, and one story he has never shared publicly until now. Scan the QR code for the full, exclusive City Lifestyle interview on Share the Lifestyle Podcast.
