At Red Sky Windows & Doors, we bring that same sense of permanent composure to your most private sanctuary. From expansive sliding glass walls that dissolve the line between indoors and out, to custom-crafted entryways that define a first impression, Red Sky is the premier choice for the discerning Florida homeowner.

March - Home & Design Issue
Home. Just four letters, yet it holds so much meaning. It’s our sanctuary, our foundation, and the place where life unfolds. Home is where we begin and end each day, where our lives take shape, and where our hearts find rest. While the specifics of what “home” looks like vary for each of us, its significance is universal.

Author Wendy Wunder captured it perfectly: “The magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back.” With that in mind, this month’s issue focuses on what makes home special—from the warmth of shared meals and thoughtfully designed spaces to the people who bring it all to life.
For me, home has taken on a new meaning this season. Returning to the area where I grew up and being so warmly welcomed by this community has made this place feel like home all over again. Experiencing that sense of belonging with my husband and our son has been especially meaningful.
This month, we had the privilege of connecting with local businesses and individuals who shape this community. Their stories highlight the creativity, resilience, and heart that make this area feel like home. We hope that as you turn these pages, you’ll be inspired to strengthen your connections—whether within your neighborhood, your city, or your own walls.
Many of our readers tell us they hold on to this magazine long after the month is over, treasuring it as a piece of home—whether as coffee table art or a source of inspiration. That’s a tradition we’re proud to uphold, and we remain committed to delivering the value you expect each month.
Thank you for welcoming us into your homes. Here’s to making this March a celebration of the spaces and people that matter most.
Happy March!

DETAILS MATTER. THEY MAKE A HOUSE
A HOME AND TURN A BLAND SPACE INTO SOMETHING MAGNIFICENT!
Details matter.
They are the quiet moments that turn a house into a sanctuary. The subtle decisions that elevate a space from functional to unforgettable. And when done with intention, they tell a story about who you are, how you live, and what you value most. For Harry Myers, founder and principal designer of HLM Designs, attention to detail isn’t just a design philosophy, it’s a calling that has been woven into every chapter of his life. Those details, he believes, are rarely about aesthetics alone. They are reflections of the homeowner, their routines, their pace, their desire for calm or connection. Long before a space is finished, its details begin quietly revealing the people who live within it. A home designed without intention may look complete,

but it rarely feels settled. “Details don’t just elevate a space - they change how you feel when you walk through the door, every single time,” shared Myers.
Harry’s approach to design is rooted in hospitality, shaped by a lifetime of observing how environments affect the way people feel. Raised in a family of small business owners and ministers, service and care were foundational. Over time, that instinct followed him through client-facing industries and leadership roles, eventually finding its fullest expression in design.
Rather than beginning with trends or assumptions, Harry starts with discovery. He listens closely, asking thoughtful questions that uncover how a homeowner moves through their day, how they recharge, how they gather, and where they find peace. These conversations reveal far more than preferences – they offer insight into lifestyle, priorities, and how a space needs to function on a daily level.
Design, Harry often explained, is not about taking orders. It’s about understanding why someone is inviting you into their

“DETAILSDON’TJUSTELEVATEASPACE

space and responding with solutions that support the way they live. “Our homes should support us,” he noted. “Not pull from us.” When a space does its job well, it becomes a place of restoration rather than another source of friction or exhaustion.
Details play a powerful role in shaping that experience. Lighting, for example, does far more than illuminate - it sets the emotional tone. A softly lit room invites calm at the end of the day, while layered lighting can energize or focus a space when needed. Texture adds warmth and depth, while thoughtful scale and proportion influence
whether a room feels inviting or overstimulating. Even subtle architectural elements can shift how a space is perceived and used.
Harry believes these decisions are often felt before they are consciously noticed. “When something is off, you feel it,” he explained. “And it’s my responsibility to recognize that and guide the client toward what works.” A space that feels unsettled or incomplete often doesn’t need more, it needs refinement.
That refinement may come through a small but intentional shift: adjusting lighting placement to soften the mood, selecting

materials with more depth and character, or introducing a detail that brings balance to the room. These moments, Harry shared, are where experience and instinct matter most. Rather than forcing a design to fit a plan, he allows the space - and the people who live in it - to inform the final outcome.
At its core, great design reflects identity. Homes mirror the lives lived within them, and when details are thoughtfully considered, they create environments that support growth, connection, and rest. “There’s something powerful about walking into a space that supports you,” Harry reflected. “It creates room for growth, rest, and connection.”
Over time, homeowners often begin to recognize just how much their environment influences them. A thoughtfully designed space reduces friction, encourages ease, and allows daily life to flow more naturally. It becomes a backdrop that enhances life rather than competing with it.
That philosophy guides every project at HLM Designs. Each space is approached with curiosity, care, and respect for the homeowner’s story. Because when details are done right, they don’t just decorate a home - they reflect the lives unfolding inside it.
And while Harry is known for his appreciation of bold, moody spaces layered in rich texture and the unexpected, his focus remains constant: ensuring every detail serves the homeowner first.

A HOME FOR ALL
ARTICLE BY JOANN CHANG | PHOTOGRAPHY BY REVIVE & RESTORE

Revive & Restore works to provide resources to the unhoused community in Tampa.

They aren’t hard to find. Sitting on the sidewalk, a bench or under an overpass. Trying to keep themselves and everything they own in the bags beside them safe. No one ever wants to be homeless. But once in that position, because of mental health, addiction or even a simple setback that created a domino effect that led to the streets, finding your way back home is a path filled with hurdles that can seem insurmountable. It’s in those moments that a shining light of hope can make all the difference.
For many in the unhoused community in Tampa, Lori Martin, Executive Director of Revive & Restore, is that shining light. For Lori, a fateful day in 2021 changed her life forever. “I was in a thrift store here in Seminole Heights, and I met a man that changed my path. It wasn’t what he said. It was this overwhelming feeling that came over me when our eyes met,” shared Martin. “Somehow, I knew that man was homeless. But as I’m processing it, he didn’t look homeless. I just knew when I left that thrift store, blinders had been taken off. When I left the store that day, I saw the need everywhere that I’d never seen before. From that moment on, I started serving.”
After working with the local homeless community through Tampa Underground, it wasn’t long before it was clear the right path was to start her own non-profit, and
Revive & Restore was born. “Where my nonprofit is different is we want to walk beside people, whatever their journey looks like. We are not judging them. We’re not forcing them. Our mission is to build relationships with them. And once we build the relationships, then the trust comes in,” explained Martin. Their mission starts with offering basic necessities —food and clothing — three times a week, seeing 350400 people a week. When someone expresses a need, Lori and her team work to connect them to the right services to meet that need.
Lori has many success stories, but Jimmy’s story is one that stays with her. “I met him under this bridge on Hanna one day. I look up, and I see a man up at the top of the underpass. Jimmy hadn’t eaten in seven days. He said he was praying to God, ‘Please send somebody.’ And I happened to look up,” shared Martin. She invited him to an outreach event, and he came that day. “It took Jimmy almost two years before he asked for help. I said, ‘Jimmy, if you ever want to end this and start afresh, I’m here for you,’” added Martin. When Jimmy was ready, Lori quickly had Jimmy set up with two part time jobs. Eventually, he was hired full time at one of them. Lori helped him establish a checking account and, when he was ready, his own apartment. She checks in with him often, ensuring he’s managing the transition.
Lori can’t make an impact alone. For those with a heart to help, there is much they can do. “We need clothing and food donations because that’s how we build the relationships. We need volunteers. I want someone that has a heart to love people that we serve,” explained Martin. They’re also always looking for donations of bikes and cars, and of course, financial donations are always in need. STYLE
Discover Bethany’s favorite places in South Tampa.
ARTICLE BY BETHANY NORMAN
South Tampa holds pieces of my story, both past and present. It’s where memories were made long before we returned and where new rhythms are being created today. These are a few of my favorites; representing connection, belonging, and making our community feel like home.

Honeybee Home is special not just for what fills the space, but for who leads it. Owned by a mother-daughter duo, it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel known. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve found friends—warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in creating beauty that feels personal and lived-in.

Created by owner Christina Hoek out of a desire to help women feel seen and known— no matter the season they’re in. The space is vibrant, elegant, and deeply intentional. It’s a space where women can be fully themselves, build community, and connect with others who value creativity, growth, and belonging.
Timpano has been a constant in my story since the early 2000s. As a young teacher, it’s where friends and I gathered for elevated happy hours with incredible food and topnotch service and vibes. Years later, it feels just as special. Only now, it’s more lunch dates on the patio and savoring the moment.

Every time I walk into Psomi, I feel like I’m in a café in the middle of a Greek town. Always busy, the atmosphere invites you to slow and linger. With a scratch-made kitchen, quality ingredients, and a thoughtful approach to food, everything feels intentional. And their baklava latte? It’s my absolute favorite.
Ballast Point Park is one of those places that welcomes everyone. It’s where all ages can gather—kids playing, families strolling, and couples watching the sunset. With sweeping views of the bay, it’s a reminder of the beauty that Tampa offers and the simple joy of slowing down and being present together.
This place holds everything I love about being back in Tampa. Waterside dining, laid-back vibes, and some of the best seafood around— it’s the place I take everyone who visits from out of town. From Sunday lunches with my family to sunset moments with close friends, it captures the best of it all.

Hosting the Perfect Dinner Party
Your next event, served alfresco
Catering experts Chef Kyle and Hannah Williams, owners of Savor & Swirl culinary company, create an outdoor dinner party with chef-driven perennial dishes served in beautiful seasonal settings. For this alfresco dinner party, Chef Kyle draws on his favorite recipes updated for a modern palate and paired with wine selections to complement the bountiful feast.
Insider Tips for Hosting:
• Build a menu around the season. Start with what produce is available locally based on the season for the most authentic meal experience. For instance, Chef Kyle says “In November, people crave turkey, sage stuffing and cranberry sauce,” but that meal served in the heat of summer wouldn’t hit the same. In-season fruits and vegetables will always be of highest quality and best taste.
• Always greet guests with a beverage and appetizers. “Offer champagne for wine-lovers or a sparkling drink or signature cocktail. It’s all about serving guests to the highest caliber,” Kyle says.

• Draw inspiration from the season’s colors and temperatures. For spring and summer, think flowers, fresh herbs and linens. For Fall, think flannel blankets, wooden tables, fire pits, open grills, string lights and candles to create a really cool environment you haven’t been able to do all summer. For winter, head indoors to create a cozy environment for guests to connect.
• “You can’t go wrong with fresh flowers,” Hannah says, “but keep bouquets low to not interfere with conversation flowing. For fall, I like richer, jewel-toned florals to mix and match and keep whimsical. I vary glass vases with burnished brass for warm fall vibes.”
• An easy but thoughtful detail is to put a simple menu at each place setting, so guests know what to expect. “Add a pen, so guests can jot tasting notes, especially for wine pairings or multiple courses,” Hannah says. “Guests can share comments, then take the menu home as a sweet reminder of the event.”
• Follow the French principle of mise en place or everything in place before your event. “This is actually our company’s name,” Kyle says. “It’s that important to us. Make sure the wines are all open, cocktails are pre-made, place settings are out, candles are lit and music is playing. When guests arrive, it gives that wow-factor and shows you intentionally made them feel special.”
• To build confidence as a host, start small and practice. “Keep the menu and guest list small,” Kyle says. “Choose recipes you already have confidence in. If you make a great Beef Stroganoff, then go with that. People will love it!”
• As fun as it is to dine outside, always have an indoors back-up plan. “We’ve had to bring it indoors before,” Hannah says. “It’s still fun.” Insider Tips for Hosting: “Think flannel blankets, wooden tables, fire pits, open grills, string lights and candles to create a really cool environment you haven’t been able to do all summer.”
Read on for some of Chef Kyle’s favorite recipes.
Fresh Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Hardwood Smoked Bacon
Yield: 6 servings
• 4 cups Brussels sprouts, raw, halved
• 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
• ¼ cup yellow onion, sliced
• 1 tablespoon garlic, sliced thin
• 1-2 cups bacon, smoked, thick cut, large dice
• Salt, pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons real butter, unsalted
• Optional garnish: 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1. Preheat oven to 400 °F for convection setting, (425 °F conventional).
2. In mixing bowl, add oil and cut raw Brussels sprouts. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Place seasoned sprouts on baking sheet and bake in oven until done, about 20-40 minutes (soft yet still with good texture and crispy edges with some dark brown color). Remove from oven.
4. Place large sauté pan on medium heat and render bacon. Add a splash of olive oil to get it going, if needed. Cook until bacon is crispy and golden brown, 5-10 minutes.
5. Add onions to pan and cook until soft, 5-8 minutes.
6. Turn heat to high and add garlic and butter and cook for 1 minute.
7. Add roasted Brussels sprouts to pan and toss all together. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
8. For optional garnishes, add fresh chopped parsley.
9. Serve and enjoy!
CHEF NOTES:
• If Brussels sprouts are large, cut in quarters.
• Rendering bacon means extracting the bacon fat which adds a lot of flavor to the dish.

Heirloom Root Vegetable Hash
Yield: 6-10 servings
• 2 cups heirloom carrot, cubed
• 2 cups heirloom rutabaga, peeled, cubed
• 2 cups heirloom parsnip, cubed
• 1 cup heirloom turnip, cubed

• 3 tablespoons rosemary, fresh, de-stemmed, chopped
• 1 tablespoon thyme, fresh, de-stemmed, chopped

• Optional garnish: 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1. Pre-heat oven to 400°F on convection setting (425°F conventional).
2. In mixing bowl, add oil and raw cut vegetables. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
3. Place seasoned vegetables on oiled baking sheet and bake in oven until they are caramelized and tender, about 30-60 minutes. Will be soft yet still with good texture and crispy edges with some lightly charred areas.

4. Remove from oven once finished cooking.
5. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
6. Enjoy.

Cranberry Orange Zest Sauce
Yields 4 cups
• 3 cups cranberries, fresh or frozen
• 1 cup cranberry juice, sweetened
• 1 piece orange peel
• 1 orange for zesting
• ½ cup orange juice, freshly juiced
• 3 cinnamon sticks
• ¼ teaspoon clove, ground
• ¼ teaspoon allspice, ground
• ½ cup sugar
• Pinch salt
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1. In medium saucepot on high heat, add everything except orange peel and orange zest. Bring ingredients to boil, then reduce to a simmer with lid.
2. While simmering, stir occasionally with rubber spatula ensuring bottom does not burn. Simmer for 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.
3. Remove lid and add orange peel and season to taste. Can add more sugar or spice if needed.
4. Once sauce is thickened and most liquid has evaporated, remove orange peel and cinnamon sticks and remove pot from heat.
5. With hand-held blender, puree sauce, keeping some texture.
6. Freshly grate in orange zest, stir and season to taste.
7. Transfer sauce to jar and place in refrigerator to cool overnight.
8. Enjoy!
CHEF NOTES:
• Enjoy with all types of poultry and game birds.
• Do not use ground cinnamon.
• Can puree with blender if you do not have hand-held blender.
• Consistency should be thick sauce and not a jelly.
