I was so excited to put together this September Style issue as my background is in fashion and design for over twenty years. Assembling this issue and celebrating style on every level hopefully conveys the message that STYLE is not fashion or a trend but rather an expression of one's self that is their version of something beautiful and whether it is putting on a pair of pants or setting a dinner table or creating a look that reflects more than a taste level or an idea but may very well show the world your soul, STYLE is significant and imperative for us to exhibit ourselves and engage with society. Enjoy our first September issue and engage with our local businesses that each have a style all their own and continue to make our community a place to create, excite, dwell, and develop......with a strong sense of STYLE.

DR. PRIYA PATEL TAKES WOMEN’S HEALTHCARE ABOVE AND BEYOND
Where did you practice medicine in the past and how did that lead to you creating FeminologyMD?
My background as a traditionally trained OB/GYN led me to a more typical group practice that was quite busy, but I found that traditional healthcare has continued barriers and constraints that often limit the ability to truly understand and treat the “whole person.” This prompted me to complete additional functional medicine training and then, FeminologyMD was born. We aim to go beyond that.
“My goal is to help my patients navigate the wide world of wellness and truly determine what is most effective for them. We seek to understand and evaluate the bigger picture of someone’s health before we get into treatment options.”
We listen to a patient’s experiences, their medical history, and their concerns. We seek to understand and evaluate the bigger picture of someone’s health before we get into treatment options. We seek to understand and evaluate the bigger picture of someone’s health before we get into treatment options.
Would you tell our readers about the key services you offer at FeminologyMD?
Gynecology and Well Woman Services, Functional Medicine, Hormone Optimization, Vaginal Rejuvenation, Pelvic Floor Therapy, IV Therapy, Medical Weight Loss, Nutrition Services, Aesthetics (Botox and Dermal Fillers)
Can you tell us why FeminologyMD is important for all women at any stage in their life?
Optimizing wellness is important through all stages of life, and women often navigate different issues at different stages of life.
• Teenage years (acne, PMS symptoms, irregular cycles)
• 20s-30s: Trying to optimize fertility (evaluating ovarian function, optimizing health and wellness in order to conceive), dealing with infertility issues, Navigating childbirth and post-partum hormonal changes
• 40s-50s: Perimenopause and Menopause (weight changes, abnormal menstrual cycles, fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, anxiety/depression, GI and digestive issues, urinary incontinence, sleep disturbances, dry skin, joint pain, sexual health concerns)

Tell us why FeminologyMD really is a Full Service destination for women's health.
We offer as much care as we can under one roof, so we are more in control of the outcome. A Glimpse into the prestigious Lake Forest Neighborhood with Realtor Laura Michelle.

PHCL partner Laura Michelle takes us inside of her exclusive Preston Hollow neighborhood Lake Forest . Laura Michelle currently has two listings in this sought-after gated community in the northeast corner of Preston Hollow.
Lake Forest is situated on more than 170 acres at the intersection of Forest Lane and Hillcrest Road, bordered by Churchill Lane to the north and the White Rock Creek to the east. It includes 350 single-family residential home sites, 68 acres of common areas, and amenities for homeowners. The neighborhood is notable for its wooded areas, expansive green spaces, and lakes and creeks. Access into the community is through four attended gates situated around the property.
Lake Forest residents enjoy amenities rarely found in an urban center, including 68 acres of private landscaped common grounds and open spaces. Walking trails wind around lakes and creeks bordered by hundreds of trees. Wildlife and birds make their home in the woods and along the water’s shores. Tennis and pickleball courts are nestled among the acreage, alongside two sprawling, off-leash dog parks for residents' private use. A community pool and swim pavilion provide a place for large parties or a quiet afternoon. The neighborhood offers numerous social events throughout the year, including holiday parties and wine tastings. For more information contact laura@dpmre.com

Jennifer Mayrath and the experts from Clotheshorse Anonymous share the latest trends
Jennifer Mayrath and the experts from Clotheshorse Anonymous share the latest trends for Fall 2024:
As Summer comes to an end and Fall finds its way back to Texas, there is a challenge to dress for the season during September’s temperature transition. Even though the calendar says Fall, the temperature can stay upward of 80 degrees in Texas. The style experts at Clotheshorse Anonymous have given us a few tips on how to transition your wardrobe into Fall with some stylish trends that are current and wearable long before the first cold snap.
1. SEXY AND SHEER: One big trend on the runways for Fall 2024 is very transparent, sheer fabrics and gauzy materials. "Naked Dressing" as some call it dominated at St. Laurent and shots of sheer popped up in collections from Gucci, Fendi, and Proenza Schouler. With this trend, ladies can layer strategically or bare it all.
2. FRINGE BENEFITS: Fringe is one of those trends that continues to pop
up on the runways. It is also a common thread amongst the dress codes and street styles of editors, buyers, and influencers attending the shows. Bottega Veneta continues to drive home its artisanal prowess with micro leather fringe throughout their accessories. Dries Van Noten strategically placed tinsel twinkling fringes on suiting.
3. GOING GREEN: Every season there is a color or two that seem to dominate the runways and color the season. This fall that color is green, a symbol of renewal. All shades and hues of green painted the runways from emerald to olive and clover to chartreuse. Going green is easy to do in any temperature.
4. CALL OF THE WILD: I am fairly certain that animal prints are always in style in Texas, but this season the rest of the world is on the same page. Animal prints from all of God’s beautiful creatures, especially cheetah are dominant in collections from Marni, Versace, and Alexander McQueen.

Sheer Fabrics are a big trend for fall and a lightweight option for warm climates. “

As summer comes to an end, entertaining seasos begins! From now through the holiday season, calendars are stacked with soirees and celebrations and for those of us who are hosting, sponsoring or planning, here are some tips for setting your table with STYLE.
1. Floral and Decor. Fresh flowers, candles, and unique centerpieces not only tie the elements of a tablescape together but set the mood for the entire event whether it is a small casual luncheon or a formal seated dinner, seasonal floral and unique arrangements will make your party the talk of the town.
2. Pristine Place Settings. Nothing feels more special than an elegant place setting. Chargers are a must for any elevated tablescape. They can add a pop of color or shine with metallic flair. Waterfall a folded napkin underneath for a clean and contemporary look.
3. Stylized Seating. Consider renting a specialty chair that really finishes off the perfect tablescape. There are so much more than chivari chairs to choose from these days.

Part the top half of the hair in two sections. Create fishtail braids (or braids of choice) and tie them together in the back of the hair. Add a fashion accessory around a ponytail for a little extra fun!

Part hair down the center. Create pullthrough braids on each side of the head. Tie elastic at the end of the braids to create a ponytail at the nape of the neck. For extra volume in the buns, tease the hair in the ponytail before twisting it into a bun. Secure with hair pins and... Voilà!
Part the hair down the center or side part, if preferred. Create braid(s) on the side of the head and secure with elastic. Twist the hair with braids into a simple bun, securing it with hair pins. Add an accessory for a classy touch.

Place a bandana on the forehead and tie it in the back. Create as many braids as desired in the back of the head, teasing the ends to avoid using elastics.
Part a mohawk section of hair down the center of the head. Create a French braid down the middle. For a thicker-looking braid, gently pull on the strands working your way up and down the braid. Pull it back into a ponytail for a simple and trendy look.
