Our Home Issue

Welcome Home -

At the heart of the Park Cities, a home is never - ever just a place - it is a reflection of family, of legacy and of lifestyle. No two homes ever look, feel, smell or sound alike. Each takes on its own embodiment of the spirit of each smile and laugh and tear that live within - a home is a feeling of safety, connection, warmth and should always be a place that supports the life you want to live and the people you want to share it with.

Home is where life unfolds in its most honest moments. It is a place of comfort and belonging going, where you are known, welcomed and free to be yourself. Home should be a refuge from the noise of the world - yet alive with laughter, conversation and shared experiences. It’s where families grow, traditions take shape, and everyday routines become meaningful memories. Home is also where neighbors become friends, families put down roots and create memories and experiences that last throughout a lifetime. Thoughtfully designed and full of sunshine and bedtime stories, the home is a place where kids ride bikes, conversations happen along the sidewalk or at soccer practice, and weekends are meant for experiences and gatherings with people you love. More than just a beautiful architectural treasure or closets full of “things” - HOME means a place to grow, connect, feel part of a community and build treasured memories.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust.””

Psalm 91: 1-2

WORLD CUP MANIA

WHILE IT MAY SOUND HYPERBOLIC, MAKE NO MISTAKE: THE WORLD CUP IS THE MOST POPULAR SPORTING EVENT ON THE PLANET, AND IT’S COMING TO DFW

Beginning in June, Dallas is scheduled to host nine matches, more than any other U.S. city. The matches are scheduled for June 17, 22, 25, 27, and 30, July 3, 6, and 14. The final match is scheduled for July 19 in New Jersey.

For a city famous for its own brand of football, welcoming the world’s most-watched tournament marks an exciting new chapter. AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host five group stage matches, two Round of 32 games, one Round of 16 showdown, and a semifinal. The stadium will be one of the World Cup’s grandest stages.

Across DFW, thousands will be welcomed with open arms. Hotels, restaurants, and entertainment districts are preparing for an unprecedented surge. Advocates expect the economic impact to potentially inject over half a billion dollars into DFW.

Dallas and Fort Worth will host festivals where cultures converge, while the cities line streets with international flags, creating a global crossroads.

In addition to the games in Arlington, Dallas will host the International Broadcast Center at downtown’s Convention Center and a celebration at Fair Park.

Youth leagues have flourished here for decades, as well as women’s and men’s professional teams, making the event feel like the culmination of a movement generations in the making.

Dallas area matches include Group F, Netherlands vs. Japan on June 14 at 3 p.m.; England vs. Croatia on June 17 at 3 p.m.; Group J, Argentina vs. Austria on June 22 at 12 p.m.; Group F, Japan vs. the winner of UKR/SWE/POL/ALB on June 25 at 6 p.m., and Group J, Jordan vs. Argentina on June 27 at 9 p.m.

AT&T Stadium is scheduled to host matches in the knockout stage: Round of 32 on Tuesday, June 30; Round of 32 on July 3; Round of 16 on July 6; and a Semifinal on July 14.

When the world turns to Dallas, it will be a moment when the global game and Texas pride meet on one spectacular stage.

INSIDE KAMERON WESTCOTT’S HOME, JENNY DIETSCH SHARES HOW INTENTIONAL ORGANIZATION BRINGS CLARITY, CALM, AND EFFORTLESS STYLE TO EVERYDAY LIVING.

WHERE STYLE MEETS EASE

In Park Cities homes, organization is as much about ease as it is aesthetics. For Real Housewives of Dallas alum Kameron Westcott, working with local favorite Getting it Done Organizing delivered a refresh that extended far beyond her closet.

“Working with Jenny and her team has been such a dream,” Westcott shares. “They’re truly focused on making my life easier. Having everything color-coordinated and visible, from my dresses

Kameron Westcott and Jenny Dietsch

to my different shades of pink, makes such a difference in how I start my day. I’m able to find what I need quickly and spend more time being present with my children instead of searching for things.”

We spoke with Getting it Done Organizing founder Jenny Dietsch to discuss the philosophy behind this transformation, and what makes Getting it Done Organizing a go-to for Park Cities families.

GETTING IT DONE ORGANIZING HAS BECOME A TRUSTED RESOURCE FOR SO MANY PARK CITIES HOMES. WHAT ORIGINALLY INSPIRED YOU TO START THE COMPANY?

“After 12 years at home with my three kids, I was ready to return to work, and organizing had always come naturally to me. The real push came when my husband told me we couldn’t afford private school for our son. Around that same time, a friend insisted I organize her playroom. That one project led to another, and before I knew it, Getting it Done Organizing was born.”

“...WE LOVE WORKING WITH OTHER LOCAL FAMILIES, SO THE WESTCOTTS WERE A PERFECT FIT...”
“WE BELIEVE A CLOSET SHOULD FEEL LIKE YOU’RE SHOPPING IN YOUR VERY OWN BOUTIQUE—CALM, CURATED, AND EFFORTLESS.”

YOU’VE BEEN WORKING WITH KAMERON WESTCOTT FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW. HOW DID THAT COLLABORATION FIRST COME TOGETHER?

“We first started working together in 2020 when Kameron was preparing to move into her new home. Our team coordinated a full estate sale to help her downsize before the move, and we even appeared in Season Five of The Real Housewives of Dallas. After the move, Kameron continued to reach out for help with seasonal closets and preserving her children’s artwork, turning their masterpieces into hardbound keepsake books. Over the years, our work with Kameron has evolved as her family’s needs have changed, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust she’s placed in our team.”

WHAT MADE HER HOME AND HER LIFESTYLE A NATURAL FIT FOR YOUR TEAM?

“Everyone on our team is a mom, and we love working with other local families, so the Westcotts were a perfect fit. As a fashion influencer, Kameron is always receiving new items to shoot for her social media campaigns. Not only does she have a large wardrobe, but she also needs customized systems to support the constant rotation—clothing for upcoming photo shoots, items she wants to consign or donate, and a dedicated home for everything she plans to keep. Our team specializes in creating tailored organization solutions and providing ongoing maintenance that support busy, ever-evolving lifestyles like hers.”

CAN YOU WALK US THROUGH YOUR ORGANIZING PROCESS FOR KAMERON’S HOME, PARTICULARLY HER CLOSET REFRESH?

“We started by purging items she no longer wanted, taking clothing, shoes, purses, and jewelry to a local consignment store. From there, we reorganized the space to truly work for her—tightening shoe shelves to add storage, optimizing vertical space, and organizing everything by color from light to dark. We also styled the space so her shoes and handbags are visible and beautifully displayed. One of our favorite features is her sweater wall, where neatly folded, color-coded knits fill the large cubbies in her fall and winter closet, making the space both practical and pleasing to the eye. We

believe a closet should feel like you’re shopping in your very own boutique—calm, curated, and effortless.”

BEYOND THE CLOSET, YOUR TEAM WORKED THROUGH SEVERAL OTHER AREAS OF KAMERON’S HOME. HOW DO YOU THINK ABOUT CREATING COHESION ACROSS DIFFERENT SPACES WHILE STILL TAILORING EACH AREA TO ITS PURPOSE?

“We always start by listening to understand how a family uses a space and what makes sense for their lifestyle before we take action. Our goal is to adapt and adjust each space so it functions well. For Kameron, that meant creating thoughtful systems beyond the closet that helped prevent clutter and supported her family’s lifestyle.”

WHAT SURPRISED YOU MOST ABOUT WORKING WITH KAMERON, EITHER IN TERMS OF HER PERSONAL STYLE OR HOW SHE USES HER SPACE?

“What surprised me most was seeing just how busy Kameron really is. People see the glamorous side of her life on social media, but not how hard she works behind the scenes. It also surprised me that, despite the amount of beautiful pieces she owns, she is extremely intentional about letting clothing and accessories go and only keeping what truly fits her lifestyle. But I definitely was not surprised by how much pink she has in her wardrobe!”

MANY PARK CITIES HOMES BALANCE BEAUTY WITH BUSY FAMILY SCHEDULES. HOW DOES YOUR ORGANIZING PHILOSOPHY HELP CLIENTS MAINTAIN SYSTEMS LONG AFTER THE INITIAL REFRESH IS COMPLETE?

“We believe a space can be both beautiful and functional. When we organize a home, we look at what life looks like right now, but we also plan for how it will change. Families grow, schedules shift, and seasons change. Our systems are intentionally designed with flexibility built in, allowing for things like new hobbies or evolving storage needs as children get older. That’s why we offer ongoing support to help our clients maintain spaces that continue to work long after the initial refresh.”

SOCIAL MEDIA HAS OFFERED AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE TRANSFORMATION PROCESS. HOW HAS SHARING PROJECTS LIKE THIS CHANGED THE WAY CLIENTS UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZING?

“Professional organizing was once viewed as a luxury reserved for a very small group. Social media has changed that by offering an honest look at real homes and transformations. As people see the impact, they’re beginning to view organizing as a form of self-care rather than a splurge. Many clients are skipping unnecessary purchases and redirecting that money toward systems that help them enjoy what they already own. When systems remove daily friction, they can positively impact mental health and family dynamics—we’ve even had clients tell us that organizing changed how their household functions, and in some cases, saved their marriages.”

WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST MEANINGFUL ABOUT THE WORK YOU DO?

“We work with so many wonderful people, and over time, we become friends. They trust us in their homes and invite us in to help them through all stages of life. We’re so grateful to be a part of that. I have ADHD and when I added systems and structure to my life, I began to thrive. I feel so grateful that I was able to turn my weakness into my superpower and that I am able to use my superpower to help so many people.”

ACHIEVING

Curated Collected DESIGN

“[TO HAVE A STORE] ON WEST LOVERS IS THE DREAM.”

Childhood friends Mary Lu Quick and Mary Bryan both grew up dreaming of becoming fashion designers. “Something that we all know now is how connected fashion and interiors are,” says Bryan. “When you have that love of putting together an outfit with this type of texture or material and pairing it with a pant that has a different shape, it translates very easily into spaces.” Both experimented throughout childhood with interior design—redecorating home and dorm rooms and planning spaces—and fell in love with vintage décor that combines unique sculpture, textiles, and/or texture.

MARY LU QUICK AND MARY BRYAN ARE CREATING AWARD-WINNING INTERIOR DESIGN CONCEPTS WITH THEIR FIRM, MMAISON INTERIORS.

Bryan and Quick reconnected as adults, bonding over their shared passion, and launched interior design company MMaison Interiors in 2020. Now, the company takes on many high-end residential projects in the Park Cities and has completed commercial projects for Western Addition, the restaurant group of five venues run by Quick’s husband Robert, including Italian standout Il Bracco in Preston Center.

Most recently, the duo received PaperCity magazine’s Best Retail Design Award for its work inside Bird’s Bookstore on Preston and Royal. “Birds is very representative of us, so it’s been really exciting for that to come to fruition,” says Bryan. The space combines Japanese, Scandinavian, and midcentury modern touches. Several curated nooks also create an expansive feel with nods to exploration and discovery. “You feel transported in that space,” says Quick.

Each of MMaison’s clients are put through an extensive intake process, in which Quick and Bryan try to understand the clients’ goals, style, and essence, making each project personal. They describe MMaison’s style as curated, modern, contemporary, and sculptural. They prioritize incorporating vintage pieces with a focal point, sourcing from auctions, vintage markets, and more. “We scour the world a lot of the time,” says Quick, “but we don’t discriminate on where we look.”

For now, Quick and Bryan hope to continue expanding their portfolio but within the next five years, they aim to launch a MMaison storefront with both curated, oneof-a-kind pieces and a retail line. They hope to achieve the latter within five years. “[To have our store] on West Lovers Lane is the dream,” says Bryan.

SOURCING INSPIRATION

Quick studied sculpture and fashion merchandising at Texas Christian University and takes a lot of inspiration from her family’s ranch outside of Athens, Texas. “My grandparents built it in the 50s, and the home on it is Mid-Century Modern,” says Quick. Her grandmother was a well-known art collector of 50s, 60s, and 70s art pieces.

“I grew up in homes with spectacular art and design,” she says. Bryan studied aviation at St. Louis University but was always drawn to creative classes and completed an interior design program at Marysville University post-grad.

A WARM COMMUNITY AWAITS AT CARUTH HAVEN COURT

Comfort and connection converge to create a proactive, personal, and relationship-centered retirement experience for residents

Caruth Haven Court is a well-established assisted living and memory care community located on the edge of the Park Cities off the North Central Expressway on Caruth Haven Lane.

Set on land that once belonged to one of Dallas’ earliest pioneer families, Caruth Haven Court carries a deep historical legacy while providing modern senior care. It offers a range of living options, including one-bedroom apartments and private suites, as well as specialized care for residents who need support with daily activities and memory-related care.

“Our community is designed for seniors who expect an elevated standard of living, one where care, service, and hospitality are on par with an upscale boutique residence,” says Executive Director Laura Allegro, MHCA, LNFA.

Together, with a dedicated commitment to outstanding care, unmatched customer service, and a refined culinary experience, Caruth Haven Court creates a community where residents feel at home, families feel confident, and the standard for senior living is consistently exceeded.

Residents enjoy beautifully designed living spaces, enriching daily activities, and the support of a dedicated, compassionate team.

“We prioritize consistency, communication, and the kind of attentive service that makes residents feel known, supported, and genuinely valued,” says Allegro. “Families trust us because we deliver reliability with warmth, by a team that takes pride in anticipating needs rather than reacting to them.”

The Caruth Haven Court community is built around a combination of structured staffing, consistent assignments, and advanced training that creates an environment where care is reliable, staff are confident and skilled, and residents benefit from meaningful, continuous relationships with the people who support them every day.

Caruth Haven Court understands that companionship is key to a fulfilling lifestyle. Their unique dedicated Companion Services program is designed to enhance residents’ experience and provide the support needed. Skilled caregivers are trained in the highest care standards, providing personalized care for you or your loved one and ensuring safety, comfort, and happiness within the community.

Daily life is designed for comfort. “We approach dining as a central part of quality of life, offering chef-driven menus, fresh ingredients, and restaurant-style presentation,” says Allegro, “elevated meals are something residents look forward to, not simply a routine.”

Residents benefit from convenient, 24/7 on-site staff, quality medical services, medication management, professional grooming and personal care, housekeeping and laundry, and specialized meal plans.

“We also offer therapy, podiatry, dentistry, and a medical director who is on-site weekly, along with a nurse practitioner who is also on-site each week,” says Allegro.

Caruth Haven Court hosts various outings, fitness classes, entertaining movie nights, arts and crafts, and other opportunities for residents to be engaged. “Our community is structured around a highly tenured care team, supported by a scheduling model that prioritizes consistency and continuity of care,” says Allegro.

Beyond its services, Caruth Haven Court is distinguished by an amenity-rich environment, including a beauty salon and barbershop, relaxing lounge spaces, landscaped courtyards and lovely garden areas, verandas, and common spaces designed to foster a home-like atmosphere.

It blends nostalgia and heritage with contemporary senior living comforts, offering a caring, community-oriented option for older adults and valuable peace of mind for families.

“We measure success by how well our residents are thriving, how confident and supported families feel, and how reliably our team provides consistent, high-quality care,” says Allegro.

She points out that strong communication, stable staffing, positive clinical outcomes, and a best-in-class dining experience are all core indicators.

“Ultimately, for Caruth Haven Court, success means residents feel known, safe, and valued, and families trust us without hesitation.”

MID-CENTURY WARMTH, REIMAGINED

There’s a certain moment when a house stops feeling new and starts feeling like home. It isn’t marked by square footage or finishes alone. It is something quieter, more emotional. In this home, designer Kate Manz set out to do exactly that: give a newly built home a heartbeat and a soul.

Rather than treating the house as one sweeping statement, she approached each room as its own story, layered with meaning, memory, and texture. The result is a home that feels collected, personal, and deeply lived-in.

“My love for design goes hand in hand with the people and stories that bring it to life,” she says. “I absolutely love seeing the evolution from concept to completion and all the elements and people that help bring those ideas to reality.”

That philosophy becomes especially important in the home’s expansive open-concept living area, where scale could easily overpower intimacy.

THE OPEN CONCEPT, REIMAGINED

The main living space is defined by bringing the outside in with sweeping outdoor views and generous proportions. Rather than fighting that openness, embrace it.

“The big open concept room really highlights the expansive outdoor views,” she says, “but making intimate spaces within that open room was really important.”

A layered niche wall, created in collaboration with the interior architect Nick Flower, brings both structure and softness to the room. It introduces texture, depth, and a place for unique objects and family heirlooms to live, turning negative space into a personal gallery.

ENTRYWAY: A WARM WELCOME

The entryway sets the tone with a simple but powerful goal: Welcome to my home.

Natural stone underfoot grounds the space, while a soft vintage rug and living greenery immediately soften the experience. Art with personal meaning invites guests to linger rather than rush through.

POWDER BATH: SMALL ROOM, BOLD SPIRIT

If there’s one place Manz encourages clients to take risks, it’s the powder room. Here, she leaned into terracotta earth tones, layering textures and tile sizes for visual interest and warmth. Patterned and solid tiles work together, while textured wall coverings and a sculptural stone sink elevate the space from functional to delightful.

LOUNGE: A STUDY IN CALM AND DEPTH

Designed as a counterpoint to the openness of the main living area, the lounge is a cocoon, both peaceful, layered, and deeply versatile. It’s a place for reading, movie nights and slow mornings.

Rich tones and varied textures do the heavy lifting here, creating depth without heaviness. Soft lighting and custom upholstery make the room feel both intentional and effortless.

At its core, this home is a reminder that design isn’t about perfection, but rather it’s about feeling. By treating each room as its own narrative while weaving in warmth, history, and human connection, a space was created that already feels loved.
