CALL US FOR A SMILE MAKEOVER
I recently had full mouth dental implant surgery through Trinity Dental Arts. I am one month in and process going very smoothly. I have suffered with dental issues for about 8 years after regularly going to the dentist, but after developing an autoimmune condition, my teeth deteriorated and dental work never seemed to last. I am thrilled with how my implants look and getting adjusted to the new “feel” in my mouth! Dr. Xhoana Gjelaj and her staff do amazing work and the pain after surgery was minimal. Thank you!
Awesome. The staff was so compassionate. The knowledge and wisdom of Dr G.was/is astounding. 10 years I’ve tried different facilities, everything was a failure, but DrG. Among 1%in the nation of dentistry was able to succeed. I truly believe in miracles ,you just have to listen with your heart and trust the Lord.
Let’s Explore!
We live in an era driven by real time videos, step and time tracking, calorie counting - everything has to be accounted for. We live in a world where when we are finally standing still, resting, possibly day dreaming about something amazing, we feel guilty.
I admit - I fall into this trap too. The trap of believing the only things worth doing are those I can make an exact calculation of the time, effort and investment it will cost me. What’s unfortunate about this is the “whatifs” we could be missing out on, and the time we lose thinking about something else instead of being present.
We must leave room for exploring, trying new things, being a beginner, even for getting lost. It’s those times that are unstructured and open-ended where the space exists for connections to be made, friendships to be fostered, and trust to be built.
I often think about when I used to go to summer camp. I would be in a foreign place with people I didn’t know. The first day would feel awkward and uncomfortable. As the week moved on, I would make new friends, try new activities and forget that I ever felt alone! It was amazing. No cell phones, no TV’s, heck I don’t even think there were radios. Some of my favorite memories were spent passing time in ways I could only dream of now. Recently, I’ve analyzed my relationship with my kids, how our family operates and what we enjoy doing. I first focused on the things I don’t love spending time on. For our family - it’s screens. For yours, it may be too many busy weeknights away from home or not enough dinners around the table together. Adventures and exploration don’t have to be something big. It can be playing a board game, walking a new trail or finding a fun cookie place we’ve never tried in a different part of town.
Our hope is this issue encourages you to make room for exploration. To prioritize time away from the regular schedule of life. To lose yourself on a trail or in a book. To book that trip you’ve been thinking about, to make time for the things that matter most to you, but often come last on the calendar. But above all, to make time to explore something new!

ADVENTURE AWAITS
Florida’s Sports Coast is bringing tourists to Pasco with a promise of action and adventure.
ARTICLE BY JOANN CHANG PHOTOGRAPHY BY FLORIDA’S SPORTS COAST
When you settle into the day-to-day grind of living, you often forget about the things that originally drew you to the place you call home. Pasco County is full of action and adventure that draws in tourists from around the world every day. There are activities in your own backyard that are begging
“It’s really inspiring watching these athletes competing at a very high level. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.”
to be discovered, and the team from Florida’s Sports Coast is eager to serve them up to the world.
Florida’s Sports Coast, the official tourism office for Pasco County, works hard to bring in tourism dollars to support our community. “We’re trying to create an economic impact in the community we love and serve without creating an impact on the community,” shared Adam Thomas, Executive Director of Florida’s Sports Coast. “Our biggest thing is really to create business, to create jobs and support entrepreneurship, to support small businesses through the visitation we bring on an annual basis.”
The money those visitors spend in our community results in tax dollars to help support services like police, fire, medical and education. “We’re bringing about 1.5 million visitors to Pasco County on an annual basis. That’s three times the population. That supports about $70 million in sales taxes for the general fund.” explained Thomas.
The decision to shine a spotlight on Pasco’s active lifestyle and sports opportunities came after a rebranding in 2018. After meeting with local attractions, tour operators, civic organizations, county and city officials as well as members of the community, it was clear that sports was a primary focus for travelers to Pasco. From youth and amateur sports to corporate team building and the many leisure activities offered along our 26 miles of coastline, sporting activities were a huge draw, and Florida’s Sports Coast became Pasco’s marketing niche.
With several large sporting venues like Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus of Pasco County, AdventHealth Center Ice and Mouratoglou Academy Zephyrhills, one of the top paddle facilities in the world, it’s easy to see how Pasco is able to draw large sporting events like the U.S. Wheelchair Rugby National Championship hosted by the Wounded Warriors Abilities Ranch. “It’s inspiring
when we bring in these athletes. These guys are very, very competitive,” said Thomas. “We’re passionate about adaptive sports. It’s really inspiring watching these athletes competing at a very high level. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.”
There’s the possibility of big changes on the horizon with the prospect of the Storyland Studios 800+ acre sports and event complex slated to be built in Trinity. While there have been investor commitments, timing for that project is still hazy. “It’s a $9 billion project over the course of 10 years. It’s just when it’s going to start. This will be a game changer for Pasco County,” shared Thomas.
While many visitors may come for a sporting event, they find much more to capture their time and attention while they’re here. “They’re doing something else while they’re here. Our retention rate of visitors is 94%. We’re getting repeat visitation. Those repeat visitors are going out within Pasco County and doing other events and activities,” said Thomas.
These activities include scalloping in the summer, fishing all year round and kayaking along the coastline to see wildlife and the private stilt houses along our shores. On the east side of the county visitors are going for an adrenaline rush at Skydive City, zip lining at TreeHoppers, catching a hot-air balloon ride or indulging in a lagoon day at one of Pasco’s two lagoons, some of the largest man-made bodies of water in the nation. They’re also attracted to the many festivals and events held during the year, as well as the many parks and miles of trails for hiking and biking throughout the county. “That’s what makes our products so unique to potential visitors, especially in Western Europe,” explained Thomas. “They’re coming over here for multiple weeks, not for five or six days. They want to see real, natural Florida, and that’s where we come into play, because our cycling, our off-road, on road trails, are things we have that cater to the European visitor.”
Keeping informed about Pasco tourism is a great way to rediscover some of the activities available in our own backyard. “Many people don’t know everything that Pasco County has to offer,” added Raul Nardi, Marketing and Communications Manager for Florida’s Sports Coast. “I had no idea we had as much as we do. It’s a wonderful place to live, a wonderful place to visit.” Signing up for Florida’s Sports Coast newsletter at flsportscoast.com and following them on your favorite social media channel will allow you to stay in the know, impress your out-of-town visitors and know just where to take your kids to enjoy a fun day out this summer where adventure awaits.

LAWN PERFECT
When summer peaks in Florida, lawns can quickly turn lush to lifeless. The scorching temperatures, inconsistent watering, and invasive pests make it one of the most challenging seasons for homeowners to try to maintain healthy turf. But not all brown grass is created equal—and the solution isn’t always as simple as watering more. According to Brian Cummings, owner of Seabreeze Pest Control, one of the most common issues is drought, which opens the door for even more problems.
“Drought leads to chinch bugs and fungus,” he explains. “A lawn is 98% water. If it’s not getting what it needs, it stresses out. And when it’s stressed, it’s vulnerable.”
That vulnerability can show up in several ways. “If you see brown patches with a yellowing edge, chances are, it’s pests—not just heat,” Cummings shares. “Insects like chinch bugs pierce the grass, causing a depravation of nutrients. That’s what causes the yellowing and fading color.”

“A lawn is 98% water. If it’s not getting what it needs, it stresses out. And when it’s stressed, it’s vulnerable.”
But while under-watering is a concern, over-watering can be just as harmful. “In some cases, it’s worse,” Cummings says. “Too much water invites disease, especially if you’re watering at the wrong time of day. Between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. is best—before the sun evaporates or the moisture sits too long and causes fungus.”
Aeration is a critical but often overlooked service that involves removing plugs of soil to improve lawn health. “Core aeration breaks up compacted soil and allows nutrients, water, and air to reach the roots,” Cummings explains. “Here in Florida, sandy soil can bind and become like concrete, especially when wet. That leads to hydrophobic soil, where water runs off instead of soaking in.”
Cummings recommends aeration any time of year, especially for new homeowners unfamiliar with Florida’s unique climate. “My biggest advice? Hire a professional instead of running to a big-box store and guessing your way through it.”
Beyond lawns, Seabreeze treats shrubs, trees, and palms with a thoughtful approach. “We believe in scouting before spraying. You don’t want to kill beneficial insects and throw everything off balance. It’s about treating what’s needed when it’s needed.” Cummings advised.
Family-owned for 32 years, Seabreeze is built on trust and care. “My employees are the reason we’re still here. If I care for them, they take care of our clients.” Cummings emphasized.
Ultimately, a healthy lawn starts with healthy roots—both in your yard and your service. For a free estimate, more tips or to give your lawn the care it deserves, visit www.seabreezepestcontrol.com .
TOP TIPS FOR GREEN LAWNS
• Don’t just water—water smart. Irrigate between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. to reduce evaporation and prevent fungus caused by lingering moisture.
• Watch for yellow edges.
Brown patches with yellowing edges often mean pests like chinch bugs—not just heat damage.
• Avoid over-watering.
More isn’t always better. Too much water can invite fungus and disease.
• Scout before you spray.
Pest control isn’t one-size-fits-all. Targeted treatments protect your lawn without harming beneficial insects.
• Hire a pro.
Florida lawns are unique. Professional insight can save time, money—and your grass.
WEEKEND WANDERS: THE MIDDLE KEYS
ARTICLE BY JOANN CHANG
When it comes to the Florida Keys, many think of Key West. There’s no question Key West has much to offer - but savvy travelers are setting their sights further north to the middle keys of Marathon and Islamorada. Here you can unwind and relax in a slice of old tropical Florida with fewer tourists and a wealth of options to explore. Like anything worthwhile, it takes effort to get there. But the drive along the Florida Keys Scenic Highway helps shed the stress of home to put you into island mode on arrival.
The middle keys are full of unique activities. A stop at Robbie’s on the north end of Lower Matecumbe Key is a must. This waterside eatery serves up great seafood, with the added entertainment of feeding giant tarpon right off the dock. It’s a thrill to watch the giant fish launch out of the water to grab your offering. Other stops include The Turtle Hospital, an old motel turned veterinary hospital, focuses on the rescue, rehab and release of sick and injured sea turtles. Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters offer an opportunity to learn more about the surrounding waters.
The Middle Keys of Islamorada and Marathon are a short drive from the excitement of Key West and a million miles from ordinary.
The Keys are also home to some of the most stunning state parks. You can snorkel from the beach and learn more about the rich history of the area. Above all, you must find time to get out on the water. Take a group excursion, or rent, or bring your own boat, and try your hand at deep sea fishing or explore the waters off Alligator Reef Lighthouse. Whether you’re looking for action and excitement or the slow roll of relaxation, the middle keys will be a vacation destination you’ll never forget.
Getting There:
Fly into Key West International Airport (EYW) or Miami International Airport (MIA). There is a 1.5-2 hour drive to Islamorada or Marathon from the airport.
Where to Stay:
Florida Keys Marathon International Airport serves private and charter flights only. There is a range of lodgings to meet any budget, including home rentals and resorts offering dock space for a boat during your stay.
When summer heats up, your air-conditioned home becomes more than a comfort—it becomes your family’s cool sanctuary. But while staying cool, something unseen could quietly impact your health. The air inside your home may contain pollutants that contribute to fatigue, headaches, and even respiratory issues from allergies. What is in the air we breathe indoors, and how can we fix it?
Many people don’t realize their homes could be filled with invisible pollutants. Carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds, mold spores, and even the byproducts of candles and pets can build up without proper ventilation or filtration. Surprisingly, even your beloved dog can contribute. “Domesticated pets living indoors continuously produce CO2, steadily contributing to the buildup of CO2 within the home,” explains Antonio Cardona, Co-Owner of TemperaturePro.
One major issue in Florida homes is that air conditioning systems are designed to recirculate, not bring in fresh air. Over time, many homeowners shut off fresh air intakes to avoid humidity, resulting in higher CO₂ levels and stale air. That stagnant environment can lead to headaches, mental fog, and even poor sleep. “If you’re constantly yawning during

the day or having trouble concentrating, your body might be trying to get more oxygen,” Cardona says. “Humidity and air quality go hand in hand. If you aren’t removing moisture, you are creating an ideal environment for mold to grow.”
A poorly maintained HVAC system only makes matters worse. When filters are dirty or systems are clogged, your air conditioner can’t cool properly or remove moisture from the air. That leads to an increase in indoor humidity—creating a breeding ground for bacteria and mold. Maintaining humidity inside your home between 40% and 60% is crucial to making it harder for mold to thrive.
So how can homeowners improve the air they breathe—especially during peak AC season? Cardona suggests upgrading to a four-inch pleated filter to capture more particles, adding ultraviolet (UV) light systems to kill mold and bacteria in the coils, or installing an ionizer that purifies air throughout the home.
“Ionizers release positive and negative ions that cling to viruses and break them down. They also eliminate odors and reduce volatile organic compounds,” he explains. “With ionized air, even lingering smells from cooking or pets disappear. Your home smells clean—and more importantly, it feels healthy.”
Modern air purifiers aren’t just for hospitals anymore. The same technology used on the International Space Station is now affordable for residential homes. “Today, you can install a system for around $1,200 to $1,800. That would have been impossible ten years ago,” Cardona notes.
One of the simplest things you can do are change your filters every three to four months, keep your thermostat between 72–75°F, and monitor humidity.
Cardona recommends a professional indoor air quality assessment if you’re experiencing symptoms you can’t explain, like chronic fatigue, headaches, or brain fog. “When your home’s air isn’t clean, your body knows before you do. But with the right tools, it’s fixable,” he says.
Ultimately, the air you breathe at home matters—and we often don’t think about it until we feel its effects. By taking simple steps and staying informed, families can breathe easier, live healthier, and make their homes a true sanctuary—inside and out. Savor Summer

Summer arrives with vibrant colors and delicious flavors, which meet the tastes of all discerning food lovers. With longer days, warmer nights, and abundant fresh produce, it’s the perfect time to slow down and savor the season. The key to summer success is mastering seasonal ingredients when you plan to grill by the pool or host friends for a casual dinner party. At L’Attitude 28 in New Port Richey, the team behind the magic— owners Charles and Robin Cessna and Chef Page— know precisely how to capture the essence of summer in every dish.
A FRESH TAKE ON SUMMER, SERVED WITH A SIDE OF FRIENDSHIP.
“WE WANT GUESTS TO WALK AWAY
WITH FULL BELLIES AND SMILES.”
– CHARLES CESSNA
“We love working with light, colorful, refreshing ingredients,” said Robin Cessna, co-owner of L’Attitude 28. “One of my absolute favorites is our summer salad— it’s not just delicious, it’s beautiful too.” Seafood plays a significant role in the summer menu, with fresh Mahi and salmon leading. “We like to keep things simple but elevated,” she added. “The Florida heat demands lighter dishes, but we never compromise on flavor.”
The approach to summer cuisine at L’Attitude 28 is rooted in creativity and flexibility. “What we do here isn’t just conventional cooking,” said Chef Page, chef of L’Attitude 28. “There’s a twist to everything we plate. That freedom to experiment keeps it exciting— not just for us, but for the guests too.” A standout dish? “The baconwrapped scallop cocktail,” he said. “It’s one of those that hits all the right notes. And our Main Sail Salad— you can add salmon, chicken, steak, shrimp— it’s endlessly customizable and always fresh.”
That spirit of flexibility extends to their philosophy on entertaining. “Casual elegance is our style,” said Charles. “We want people to feel comfortable, welcome, and like they belong— whether they show up in flip-flops or dress shoes,” Robin agreed. “It’s where you walk in as a stranger and leave as a friend. People always tell us that that’s exactly how we want it to feel.”
“We want guests to walk away with full bellies and smiles,” said Charles Cessna, co-owner of L’Attitude 28. “And to come back as friends.”
Pairings are thoughtfully chosen to complement each dish and the season. “Seafood pairs beautifully with white wine, while red works best with steak,” Charles explained. “In the summer, we lean into fruit-forward wines and lighter cocktails. Our sangria is a guest favorite— but we won’t give away the recipe.”
L’Attitude 28’s brunch offerings are just as vibrant. “Breakfast is one of my favorite things to cook,” said Chef Page. “We’ve got stuffed French toast, a killer Monte Cristo, and weekly specials that change things up.” He’s introducing a ‘brunch-lunch’ menu with a Florentine Benedict. “It’s bold and fun, just like summer should be.”

L’Attitude 28
L’Attitude 28 is a hidden gem on the outskirts of town, offering delicious food, relaxed vibes, and genuine hospitality. The family restaurant serves seasonal dishes that use fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Whether you’re stopping in for brunch, lunch, or dinner, the experience is thoughtfully curated and always inviting.
Seafood lovers will appreciate dishes like Poseidon’s Scallops— bacon-wrapped and served over creamy pea risotto— or the Top Deck Salmon, grilled and finished with an orange ginger sauce. Signature pasta offerings like Lobster Ravioli and Lobsterette Risotto showcase rich, comforting flavor profiles perfect for a celebratory night out.
Weekend brunch features creative staples like the L’Attitude Slammer and decadent stuffed French toast, with rotating specials keeping things fresh. Paired with signature cocktails and a carefully selected wine list, every meal feels like a mini getaway.
Locally owned and full of heart, L’Attitude 28 is where great food, good company, and coastal ambiance come together— no passport required.
The same culinary care goes into their advice for home cooks and hosts. “Don’t overcomplicate things,” Chef Page suggested. “Use fresh ingredients, make sure your meat is high quality, and don’t forget the booze for a backyard BBQ.” He added. “If your pasta water doesn’t smell like the ocean, don’t put your pasta in motion.”
Chef Page loves using purees to let fresh produce shine on the plate. “Cauliflower, cabbage—we’ve done them all,” he said. “A smooth, lightly sweet puree pairs beautifully with fish. It adds flavor and finesse without weighing the dish down.” His philosophy is simple: “Fresh, fresh, fresh— if it comes out of a bag or can, it doesn’t belong on our summer menu.”
At L’Attitude 28, it’s also about creating a space where everyone feels like they belong. “We treat everyone like family,” said Robin. “The feedback we get most often is that people feel like they’ve been here before— even if it’s their first visit. That’s exactly the vibe we’re going for.”
The friendly energy isn’t just something they hope guests pick up on— it’s intentionally cultivated. “She’s a social butterfly,” shared Chef Page. “I talk to everyone and check on every table. That’s how we build relationships. It’s not just a restaurant— it’s a community,” added Robin.
Even in the kitchen, the team keeps it personal. “I think one of the best parts about what we do is that we aren’t afraid to try something new,” said Chef Page. “From incorporating cereals into brunch items like pancakes or French toast, to creating specials on the fly— it keeps us sharp and surprises guests.”
So, whether you’re planning a casual cookout or a relaxed evening with friends, take a cue from the team at L’Attitude 28: keep it fresh, keep it simple, and always make room at the table for one more friend.

Picnics Pairings
Have you been eyeing a breathtaking view or a luscious green patch near a waterscape? For special times with your favorite people, nothing says warm weather fun like a picnic. Follow these tips for preparation ideas.
Ambiance: Throw pillows are a must. Pull them from your couches or invest in outdoor pillows that can be used repeatedly. A large throw is also essential to protect from moist ground and grass stains. Bring your favorite tunes with one of the many available portable speakers or unplug and enjoy the sounds of nature. Cut flowers add a wow factor.
Enjoy your perfect picnic!

Gear: You don’t have to own a picnic basket to have a picnic. But if you do bring a basket, make sure to have some way to chill your perishables and drinks. Reusable silverware, plastic wine or drink cups, and plates often come with a picnic basket set, but can also be purchased separately. Keeping it elegant, but easy (and cool) is the key!
Accompaniments: A cheese plate with fruit is the perfect start to your picnic fare. As with the cheese, your drink selections should coordinate with the main dish. For salads, pair accoutrements with the dressing in mind. A lemony herb vinaigrette dressing goes well with smooth cheeses and tart beverages such as lemonade, prosecco, or sauvignon blanc.
