Easing Up To Explore In July
We live in an efficiency, productivity-obsessed age. It's so easy to fall into the trap of believing the only things worth doing are those that equate to an exact calculation of the time, effort and investment they cost to complete. But the truth is that approach can be an unfulfilling way to go through life.

We must leave some room for exploring, for trying new places and things, for being a beginner, even for getting lost. It's those times that are unstructured and open-ended where the space exists for connections to be made, friendships to be fostered and trust to be built.
Even taking time to just meditate offers numerous benefits for physical and mental well-being. It can reduce stress, improve focus, enhance emotional regulation and even improve sleep quality. Meditation can also boost self-awareness and strengthen mental resilience.
Our hope is that this edition encourages you to make room for exploration. To prioritize time away from the regular schedule of life. To lose yourself on a trail or in a book. To plan that trip you’ve been thinking about, to make time for the things that matter most to you, but often come last on the calendar.
Additionally, you're invited to pause for a bit to join the Tri Star Title & Escrow, LLC, team at their 20th business anniversary celebration. Tri Star owner Sheri Morgan invites everyone to join them at the Fountains at Gateway on July 15, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., for festivity, music and appetizers.
Here's to getting lost in timelessness once in a while this summer.

Tri Star Title/Escrow, LLC Experts Guide Real Estate Buying/ Selling Process
Milestone
Happy 20th Business Anniversary to owner Sheri Morgan and the team at Tri Star Title & Escrow, LLC. Since 2005, they've delivered what's known as The Tri Star Advantage for comprehensive escrow services, settlements and title insurance. "When we opened, we made it our mission to provide the most thorough real estate closing services with a quick response time, and we still do," she assures.

Sheri invites everyone to join their special platinum anniversary celebration at the Fountains at Gateway on July 15, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. She says there'll be live music and appetizers.
The team's "worry-free closing process" spans title insurance; settlements guided by objective agents; as well as escrow services for which the team holds legal documents and funds on behalf of a buyer and seller, and distributes them according to the buyer's and seller's instructions.
Sheri says they also assist clients with stressful and challenging issues such as false impersonation of the true owner of the property; forged deed, releases or wills; instruments executed under invalid or expired power of attorney; undisclosed or missing heirs; mistakes in recording legal documents; misinterpretations of wills; deeds by persons of unsound mind; deeds by minors; deeds by persons supposedly single, but are in fact married; and fraud liens of unpaid estate, income or gift taxes.
"My staff is outstanding. We're a tight-knit group, and we do a lot of things together outside of the office. They're very loyal to me, and in turn, I'm good to them. I couldn't ask for a better team. I'm only as good as the team that stands with me," states Sheri.
The team's performance earned an A+ rating from Better Business Bureau professionals.
Citing that community service is also important, Sheri currently serves on the board of directors for Journeys In Community Living and the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. She has served on several other boards in years past, and she and her team are involved frequently with several nonprofit organizations in the community.

The Aziz Team Helps Home Buyers And Sellers Explore New Chapters, Quality Of Life

Murfreesboro-based Realtor Isam Aziz is so committed to stewarding helpful client support and communications, he makes himself available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily — yes, that's accessibility within every 24-hour period.
"My goal is to make the home buying and selling process easier for everyone. I enjoy learning the stories of why people are moving, from the family who just added their third baby to empty nesters looking to downsize their home. These are life-changing events, and can be one of the most stressful times in people's lives. My goal is to make these steps as seamless and straightforward as possible," Isam explains.
"I love my work and my family, and have been blessed with an amazing life. I work more than I should, but I love what I do, so it never feels like working."
He says many clients presently collaborating with his team and simpliHOM brokerage representatives are seeking privacy, in that properties that adjoin coveted green space, common areas, parks, fields or woods are the most attractive and desired.
Two other key factors sought by current homebuyers are affordability and amenities. Isam says many people are enthused about the addition of the future $16.5 million, 153-acre multipurpose space for Veterans Park in the Blackman community,

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic Officials Break Ground On New Lascassas Pike Facility
Expanding Local

Health Care Access

“I’m honored to be a part of an organization that cares for the health of my community, and proud that we’ll now be able to provide services closer to home for our patients who live in this area. I know Dr. Garrison also would be proud.”
As Murfreesboro Medical Clinic & SurgiCenter (MMC) representatives observe the operation's 75th year of providing community health services, they're also celebrating continued expansion in providing comprehensive patient care.
MMC professionals recently broke ground for the group's newest medical facility, conveniently located in Murfreesboro on Lascassas Pike between Dejarnette Lane and Compton Road. At press time, slab work was underway and steel structures were expected to emerge at the site during July, with the goal for completion by summer 2026.
Jason Pollock, M.D., OBGYN and MMC board president says, “I grew up in this area, just down the road. Dr. Garrison, MMC’s first pediatrician, was my pediatrician. I’m honored to be a part of an organization that cares for the health of my community, and proud that we'll now be able to provide services
closer to home for our patients who live in this area. I know Dr. Garrison also would be proud.”
The future two-story, state-of-the-art medical center is designed to meet the growing health care needs of northeast Murfreesboro's rapidly increasing population. The facility is planned to offer a broad range of outpatient services, including pediatrics, internal and family medicine, laboratory and radiology, as well as an MMC Now Family Walk-In Clinic.
MMC Lascassas marks the ninth location for Murfreesboro Medical Clinic.
In a collaborative effort to provide comprehensive care, Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford representatives announced their purchase of land to establish a full-service, freestanding emergency department adjacent to the new clinic.
"Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford's leadership approached us with the idea of strategically placing

an emergency department alongside our new medical clinic, ensuring seamless, high-quality care for the community," says Joey Peay, CEO of MMC.
Joey says this development aligns with ongoing discussions between city officials and Tennessee Department of Transportation staffers regarding plans to widen Lascassas Pike from two lanes to five lanes, stretching from Clark Boulevard to Compton Lane. The infrastructure upgrade would support increased traffic flow and improve access to the new health care facility, he adds.

EXPLORING Local HISTORY
ARTICLE BY LYNN CALDWELL PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED BY MURFREESBORO PARKS AND RECREATION
Truly authentic and historical experiences exist right here in Murfreesboro.
“There are still a lot of people that we meet who aren't aware of the story of Cannonsburgh or the significance of the Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center. We really encourage people to take a tour or attend an event,” shares Rachel Singer, Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation assistant director.
Exploring the grounds of Cannonsburgh allows visitors to step back in time at 312 S. Front St. In fact, the historic Cannonsburgh Village, which is nestled outside of downtown Murfreesboro, represents approximately 100 years of early Tennessee life from the 1830s to the 1930s.
Settled quaintly within that village is a gristmill, schoolhouse, a telephone operator's house, the University House, the Leeman House, a museum, a caboose, the Wedding Chapel, a doctor's office, a general store and a blacksmith's shop. All these spots are open so guests can walk in and get a glimpse of real life during this period.
The Wedding Chapel is an incredibly unique venue, and has celebrated hundreds of weddings and vow renewals throughout the years.
Cannonsburgh staffers offer specialized programming that allows everyone to immerse themselves into

early life, with woodworking, blacksmithing, music and more. Many of these elements are highlighted during the two, big events hosted in the village: Harvest Days in the fall and Pioneer Days in the spring. These special events include live demonstrations, entertainment, craft vendors, food trucks, art exhibitions and antique car shows.
There's also the World’s Largest Cedar Bucket on display, which has quite a story of its own. It's a red cedar bucket with a capacity of 1,573 gallons. It's approximately 6 feet tall, with diameters of 6 feet at the base and 7 feet 9 inches at the top. It reportedly was originally built in 1887 by the Tennessee Red Cedar Woodenworks Company as a marketing tool, and later was displayed at world fairs.
People come from all over to take in this local history. In the first month of summer alone, Cannonsburgh had 967 visitors from 37 states and 10 countries.
Another fascinating piece of history right here to explore is the Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center at 415 S Academy St.
“The history of the Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center is rich and far-reaching. So many individuals who've gone on to hold prominent positions in our city have connections to this very building. I'd love for more people to step into this space, explore its story, and discover the lasting impact Bradley has made on generations of lives," says Susan Hicks, cultural arts supervisor.
Bradley Academy was built in 1806 as the first school for education of white males only. In 1884, African American students, males and females, were allowed to attend school. The current structure was built in 1917 and opened as the new school for African American students in 1918. Today, Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center houses an original

classroom and an Early Settlers for the City of Murfreesboro and the County of Rutherford exhibit. It also serves as a multipurpose facility for cultural, educational and social enrichment purposes.
The Bradley Academy hosts several events throughout the year, such as Heritage Days and a citywide celebration of Juneteenth. Shayla Mayo, facility coordinator for the museum and center, is excited about all the upcoming opportunities for growth. "The more I've gotten to know Bradley Academy as an institution; I've come to realize that our space and the community that has supported and passed through it have deep roots that weave into so many aspects of our history. It’s an incredibly relevant part of Murfreesboro's past and present, and we welcome the community to come and explore.”
