Make Your World Smaller

To be more present during 2026 may mean investing in building daily anchors, such as some mindful, phone-free mornings, practicing meditation to train your mind or immersing your senses in activities. By focusing on one task, hour or day at a time, we can cultivate gratitude and in essence declutter ourselves.

Among wise investments for work-life balance, we can incorporate 10-minute, tech-free moments like walking, drinking coffee mindfully or stretching before bed. When overwhelmed, we can shrink our focus to just the next right action or the present hour rather than worrying about the future, creating a smaller world approach. Next, we can actively notice the smells, sights and sounds in our environments. One task that I'm working on is referred to as 'purposeful living,' which means showing up fully even for the more mundane tasks in life.

Last, we can release the need to control the future, and instead focus on "unbecoming" or removing what doesn't serve our happiness or growth.

For those who strive for a more spiritual approach, we can cultivate daily quiet time and prayer to ground ourselves in the present moments.

Whichever way you like to invest in life, we hope you'll enjoy reading through these pages of how our Murfreesboro community contributes to those important matters.

Future Atrium At Fountains To Add ‘Best Life, Unparalleled Residences’ To Fountains At Gateway As More Community Investment In Murfreesboro

Indulge In Luxury Living Reimagined

Luxury living is meant to blend seamlessly with comfort, tranquility and attention to detail at the future Atrium at Fountains within the Fountains at Gateway located at Two Fountains Plaza. Groundbreaking may be this summer for the upcoming, $92 million five-story building, which will be directly across from the One Fountains Plaza four-story building containing corporate offices, restaurants and retail space.

Jacquie Brengartner, Studio manager at The Fountains, says only 52 condominiums will be available, making these residences "the most exclusive address in Murfreesboro."

The location is designed to contain underground parking, a private lobby, Studio at Fountains corporate office suites and meeting space on the first and second floors, along with Atrium at Fountains on the top three floors. The building will feature a dramatic, glassroofed atrium, curated with live plants, as a stunning space that blends modern design with abundant sunlight for an inspiring tropical ambiance.

As Murfreesboro’s first luxury, European-style condominium development, Atrium at Fountains' spacious condominiums start in the mid-$500,000s. They will feature high-end finishes in lightfilled one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Jacquie says each modern residence includes an open living and dining area that adjoins a sleek kitchen with an island, and a large primary suite with ensuite bath. She adds, "Most residences will feature a floor-to-ceiling glass wall system that opens to a large, private covered terrace."

At press time, Scott Graby, president of Hearthstone Properties and developer of the Atrium project, says advanced talks were underway with lenders for the last component of financing. "Once we commence construction, which will be immediately after financing wraps up, the project is slated to be completed in 20 months," he says.

PURE GLOW SKIN REFINERY:

“YOUR SKIN’S ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT INVESTMENTS TO MAKE”

PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED

"The most valuable thing you wear isn’t your handbag, jewelry or shoes. It’s your skin," asserts Martha-Marie Edwards, Pure Glow Skin Refinery owner/esthetician. "Skin is our largest organ; it’s like a mirror reflecting what's going on inside the body. And we're definitely worth the investment in our skincare."

Martha-Marie says many people come to her, citing an issue with their skin. "Once we dive a little deeper, we discover the skin concern isn't the issue, but a symptom of the issue. For example, when someone comes with little white pustule-looking bumps around the forehead and cheeks, they

“NOT

think they have acne. What's actually going on is they have candida in their gut, which is a form of yeast. We need to work internally and externally to clear the bumps."

Another example is when a client comes in with dark circles under eyes, she says. "Once we rule out genetics or lack of hydration, many times we find it could be a form of adrenal fatigue, because our eyes are directly connected to our adrenaline system. Then we discuss different lifestyle changes to help correct the dark circles."

However, there are other benefits to investing in one's skin.

As we go through life, Martha-Marie says a person's skin goes through many different stages. "What you were able to use in your teens will more than likely not work for you in your 40s. The different hormonal phases of life mean we have to switch what we're doing to our skin, and that's different for each person. So having an esthetician by your side to help find the right regimen and treatments for each phase of life is vital."

She says when clients come to her Murfreesboro spa at 308 Uptown Square for facials on a regular basis, she sees their skin up close and personal. "I know my clients' skin and know when something new needs to be looked at deeper by a doctor. So many times I tell clients to have a dermatologist look at something, and they come back saying it definitely was something that needed to be taken care of. A few times now it has been cancer that we caught early."

"It’s just always good to have a second set of eyes looking at your skin and making sure everything is good," she adds.

Truly Matters IT INVESTMENT THAT

BlueCore Technologies: Proactive MSP Partner Offers Planning, Support, Network Management To Help Businesses Thrive

ARTICLE BY JULIE BROWN PATTON | PHOTOGRAPHY BY KAT BRADSHAW PHOTOGRAPHY
Courtney Paschall, MHA, managing partner/CEO at BlueCore Technologies

For today’s business owners, technology is no longer optional; rather it’s a wise and necessary investment to ensure business operations are protected and running as efficiently as possible, asserts Courtney Paschall, MHA, managing partner/CEO at BlueCore Technologies, a managed service provider with local customers as well as across the United States.

“When systems are unreliable or security is reactive, it affects a company’s productivity, reputation and ultimately profitability,” Courtney reminds, adding this fact is relevant in any industry with data and assets to protect, but is especially true in highly regulated sectors such as finance and health care.

“We work hard to take the headache and guesswork out of protection requirements so business owners and teams can focus on their specialties,” she states.

Investing in managed information technology is really an investment in continuity, protection and peace of mind. Courtney says she and her experts come from the knowledge that the cost of prevention is always lower than the cost of disruption. “This means choosing proactive support over emergency fixes, and partnering with people who understand that a business depends on stability and being able to work, is always a prudent move. We also believe IT should feel dependable and not complicated.”

In broader terms, Courtney says BlueCore is an outsourced IT department for many, different-sized organizations.

“We can manage the IT for both small and large companies with no internal IT staff, or we can act as a support extension for companies that have internal IT staff. We basically take care of any company that doesn’t want technology to be a daily stress point for them,” Courtney explains.

The BlueCore team handles vital IT components, such as network management, help desk, practical security, vendor coordination and long-term technology planning. They state their client support role and overall mission is to make sure systems are secure, stable and aligned with how each business actually operates.

“Security is foundational for us, not an add-on. Every BlueCore support plan includes regular security reviews, and best-practice protections are built into our support model. We try to do all of this in an easy to understand and jargon-free format,” Courtney adds, as a self-professed ‘Geek whisperer.’

She says they assist many customers with scaling for growth, devoting project and client success managers to help business representatives to open locations from the ground up. These services include coordinating data drops, securing Internet service providers, procuring the right hardware and setting up a new network or incorporating new locations into the current network.

BlueCore teams can serve as a help desk for a company’s employees, too. Employees can go straight to BlueCore to get IT issues resolved, Courtney assures, so they can resume work as quickly as possible. “We have live agents that answer phones during normal business hours, as well as a support email address that’s always manned during business hours.”

BlueCore also can provide after-hours help desk services for emergencies or customers with different hours.

Additionally, this IT team works with customers to onboard new employees, ensuring that their computer equipment is delivered for their first day at work, with the appropriate access to their network, information and software.

“WE CAN MANAGE THE IT FOR BOTH SMALL AND LARGE COMPANIES WITH NO INTERNAL IT STAFF, OR WE CAN ACT AS A SUPPORT EXTENSION FOR COMPANIES THAT HAVE INTERNAL IT STAFF. WE BASICALLY TAKE CARE OF ANY COMPANY THAT DOESN’T WANT TECHNOLOGY TO BE A DAILY STRESS POINT FOR THEM.”

Courtney says consistency and clarity set BlueCore apart from other MSPs.

“We work to make sure we don’t use industry terms or technical abbreviations to mask simple answers. If someone wants to understand the technical side, we take the time to respectfully explain it as many times as needed. That said, we also have customers that don’t want to know how technology works in detail, and we respect that, too,” she says.

“We work hard to understand our customers on personal levels and provide them with a personalized support plan.”

Part of BlueCore’s service is not outsourcing customer support so that their U.S. team can personally address any questions coming via phone calls or emails, without delays.

“We also try to be good partners to our customers, and believe we should earn their business. That’s why we offer 30-day-out agreements in the first year of our contracts. Even after the first year, we work hard to keep contract terms short. Our clients stay with us because they want to, not because they’re locked into long-term contracts,” Courtney states.

“In a field known for turnover and inconsistency, our team brings long-term experience and stability, and they all want to do a good job for our customers. With BlueCore, you get smart IT protocols, cybersecurity solutions, robust cloud services, responsive support, strong security, clear communication, personalized approaches and contract flexibility—all from a team dedicated to your success.”

ENTER EXCEPTIONAL, ENJOYABLE PRE-K EDUCATION

CADENCE ACADEMY PRESCHOOL PROVIDES PARENTS WITH PEACE OF MIND

As a private, faith-based preschool in Murfreesboro, Cadence Academy Preschool prepares youngsters to thrive, says School Director Catherine Clinton-Edmond.

"Giving children tools to express themselves appropriately is so important to healthy emotional development," reminds Catherine, whose career in early childhood education spans 20-plus years. "I love watching them develop and learn more, not only educationally but socially as well."

She explains that the Cadence program is designed to stimulate a child’s curiosity and instill strong moral values. Their specialized curriculum uses Bible stories, songs and values-based lessons to build foundational skills for reading, writing, math and science.

"Social awareness and respect for others are key components of our program, encouraging children to be kind, considerate and empathetic," Catherine adds, who received her associate of arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Nashville State Community College and her bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Relations from Tennessee State University.

The Cadence infant care program embraces children starting at the age of six weeks up to 12 months. Catherine says a quality infant-drive program should supply a secure environment; an accredited, high-quality program if possible; small class sizes; defined areas for playing, sleeping and eating; and positive interactions.

"As parents, we understand how hard it can be to entrust the care of your infant to someone else. Of course, you want to be there for each smile, squirm and squeal. With our infant daycare program, we take a partnership approach with parents, from working with you to developing your baby’s daily schedule to capturing special moments with photos and sending them to you. Each day, you receive detailed written reports of your little one’s feeding, sleeping, diapering and learning activities. At our infant daycare program, we make sure this first transition away from home is smooth and joyful for you and your baby," says Catherine.

The Cadence toddler care program is for children starting at 12 months up to 2 years old. That program's caretakers teach and use Baby Sign Language as a form of communication through actions while the toddlers further develop their verbal language skills.

The preschool program is based on learning that happens naturally through open-ended play from 2-3 years, and an "I can do it” foundation.

The pre-Kindergarten program invites children starting at 4 years up to 5 years old. During  this time, they're learning all the fundamentals to be ready for Kindergarten.

Catherine says the Cadence staff understands that each child is unique, and that's why they provide an educational, fun and nurturing environment.

Additionally, the Cadence team offers programs for summer and spring breaks. This summer, young explorers won’t just learn; they’ll level up. Game Changers and Jr. Game Changers 2026 is offered in two immersive, hands-on programs: one for youngsters  3 to 4 years old, and another for school-age children, 5 to 12 years old.

"We're the foundation of children's overall educational experience, and my team and I are committed to ensuring that it's a positive start. I want Cadence Murfreesboro to have a family feel, so when you walk in, you feel at home."

BRINGING TOGETHER COMMUNITY BUDDIES

The Miracle League Embodies Pure Joy Via Baseball In Organized, Inclusive Program

Finding ways to impact the community through meaningful programming and events is something for which the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation team always strives. But when the community also adds a unique impact on a program, it signifies something pretty special: and the Miracle League is just that.

The David Price Miracle Field is an all-inclusive baseball and playground facility. Baseball games feature a continuous batting order allowing for every athlete to both bat and run the bases each inning. Volunteer buddies assist players in and around the field during their game.

The Miracle League currently includes 130 special needs athletes for the 2026 spring season. There are 12 teams, 20 coaches and an endless number of loyal fans cheering from the stands.

According to Michael McCafferty, athletics program coordinator for Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation, one of the most important elements are “buddies” who serve as player partners during the games.

"Having buddies out at Miracle Field is an essential piece of the puzzle for this program to succeed. All of our buddies are volunteers, and oftentimes are local middle school or high school athletes. The Miracle League buddies play a pivotal role in keeping our Miracle League athletes safe during play, promoting pace of play and creating an exciting and fun environment for the players,” Michael shares.

It’s an incredible experience for all those involved.

“My favorite part about having buddies out at Miracle Field is that our Miracle League players are pouring into our buddies just as much as the buddies are pouring into the players. You'll see them laughing together, telling jokes, talking about their favorite cars or movies and celebrating with each other when they cross home plate to put a run on the board for their team,” says Michael.

Craig Reavis, head coach of the Siegel High School baseball team, has been an integral part of Miracle League volunteers since the initiative's very first season in 2017. So, he has experienced firsthand the ripple effect it can create. He explains that this opportunity is one that draws his players out of their comfort zones and allows them to be reminded it’s more than just a game that they're blessed to play. He says it opens their hearts, and encourages them to interact with the athletes using their sense of humor and finding the joy of being out there.

Craig's advice for other coaches is: “Go for it. Jump right in.”

This coach has witnessed the significance the program holds for his players, too, including one player that was a buddy during his high school years and went on to help coach one of the Miracle League teams for several seasons.

“Miracle League Baseball is designed to be an inclusive experience for athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities. However, this program is for our entire community, and I think it's important to highlight the impact that the Miracle League Baseball experience has on our volunteers and buddies as well,” remarks Craig.

Plan on catching a game this month for some great baseball, homeruns and lots of smiles. And, if it’s when the Siegel Stars Baseball team is volunteering, catch Coach Reavis in his favorite spot on third base, bringing all the runners into home.

Gratitude goes to the many different schools, churches and groups who volunteer throughout the fall and spring seasons. To participate or volunteer in Murfreesboro's Miracle League, reach out to Angie at akeating@murfreesborotn.gov.

Redefining MVP: TIM TEBOW’S LIFE BEYOND FOOTBALL

An exclusive Q&A with City Lifestyle

PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED

From championship trophies to global humanitarian impact, Tim Tebow’s journey has defied every standard playbook. In an exclusive conversation for the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Tebow pulls back the curtain on the moments that truly defined him, from a humbling middle school church retreat to the life-altering shift of fatherhood. This isn’t just a look back at a career; it’s an invitation into the heart of a man driven by purpose. Read the highlights below, then join us for the full, unfiltered experience by scanning the QR code at the end.

Q: WE ALL KNOW YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD, BUT TELL US ABOUT THE CURL CONTEST.

A: I was competing for my future high school team (my brother’s team), and I pushed myself way past what was smart. I ended up collapsing and needing medical attention. But what stayed with me wasn’t the pain, it was the lesson. Would I be willing to do something that others aren’t? For much of my life, I strived to bring my best for a game, but I hope that I can say at the end of my life I was willing to do that for things that actually matter.

Q: YOU’VE ACHIEVED SO MUCH IN SPORTS. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT NOW?

A: Becoming a dad. Nothing compares. From the moment I knew my wife was pregnant, I felt a new depth of love for our child, but when you bring your baby home, the responsibility hits you like nothing else. Suddenly, everything you see, every decision you make, you’re asking, “Is this corner too sharp? What happens if she reaches that drawer?” It changes how you see the world and how you see other people.

Q: YOU’VE SPOKEN OPENLY ABOUT DISAPPOINTMENT, ESPECIALLY AROUND FOOTBALL. HOW DID THAT SEASON OF LIFE SHAPE YOU?

A: I talked a lot about that very thing in my book Shaken . We all go through moments where our faith in our abilities and purpose feels rattled, but I believe it’s often in those storms when God can show us who we could become.

Q: YOU TALK A LOT ABOUT COMPARISON CULTURE. WHY DO YOU BELIEVE COMPARISON HAS BECOME SUCH A TRAP TODAY?

A: Because we’re comparing our real, everyday lives to someone else’s highlight reel. Social media shows people’s “best day,” often filtered and staged, and then we measure our reality against that. There’s a reason filters are so popular—it’s not real. We end up scrolling through images that don’t tell the full story, and without realizing it, comparison starts to steal our joy and our gratitude.

“We’re comparing our real, everyday lives to someone else’s highlight reel... comparison starts to steal our joy.”

Q: YOUR FOUNDATION FOCUSES ON THE “MOST VULNERABLE.” WHERE DID THAT CALLING BEGIN?

A: When I was 15, I met a boy in the Philippines who was treated as a throwaway because he was born with physical differences. That moment changed me. I realized God was calling me to pursue a different kind of MVP, not “Most Valuable Player,” but “Most Vulnerable People.”

Q: FINALLY, WHAT’S ONE THING PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

A: I have some weird coffee habits, which include protein powder, collagen, and cream all mixed together. I love golf dates with my wife. And every night, I bring snacks to bed to share with our dogs. It brings me more joy than it probably should.

This conversation barely scratches the surface. Tim goes deeper into the moments that rattled him, the joys of fatherhood, and one story he has never shared publicly until now. Scan the QR code for the full, exclusive City Lifestyle interview on Share the Lifestyle Podcast.
