LIFESTYLE LETTER
Class is something money cannot buy I love this issue. Style is something I have always paid close attention to. Over the years, and especially after being a business owner for over 15 years, I have learned that when it truly comes to style, the only thing that is timeless is class. The way you present yourself, your character, and how you treat people is simply something money cannot buy. The beautiful thing about it, it also costs nothing to possess. We love representing some of the best people and business owners not just in our community, but in the entire Nashville area. From start to finish, these people prove time and time again that they truly know what it means to serve and leave something better than they found it. This is the epitome of Russell Crafted. Learn more about their journey this month! In this issue, we bring a little nostalgia back to those who have spent possibly their whole lives here in Mount Juliet. The Fleming family legacy is a beautiful story we were honored to share, and we hope it brings you the warm and fuzzies. Speaking of Warm and fuzzies, there is nothing more exciting than updating your home with a little sparkle and luxury. Pay close attention to some fall style tips from Brookes on Main. You might be surprised when you read more about Ferguson Showroom here in Mount Juliet. While an International Company, it started as a small local business and now stands upon the standard that every other company in the home industry is measured against. They bring class and service like no one else, and represent some of the most profound companies in the home industry. We are thankful they are here in Mount Juliet! Last but not least, discover the warmth of capturing motherhood with timeless art by White Stork & Co. We love our community, and it's an honor to watch it evolve so quickly over the past few years! We continue to have endless ground to cover and are so thankful to serve you!

“What I craved during my pregnancies was a space that felt warm and personal, something beyond the clinical,” Christie shares. Inspired by those feelings, she launched White Stork & Co. in 2019 with the vision of creating a peaceful, boutique-style setting where families could truly connect. From ultrasounds starting at just 7 weeks to painted fine art portraits, every offering is designed to help families treasure the moments that pass too quickly. White Stork & Co. specializes in maternity, newborn, milestone, and family photo sessions, capturing the beauty of each season of life. In addition to photography, the studio offers thoughtful extras like custom card design, heirloom album creation, and full wall gallery design—so clients can turn fleeting moments into lasting displays at home. Heartbeat jewelry, special keepsakes, and a curated baby boutique round out the studio’s one-of-a-kind offerings. And while the Mt. Juliet location remains the heart of the brand, White Stork & Co. is growing. After years of client requests to bring the experience to other cities, Christie recently launched a carefully crafted franchise model. With hands-on training, business coaching, and ongoing support, the team is helping new owners replicate the signature White Stork warmth in studios across the country. Franchise opportunities are now available in 28 states and growing. Still, Mt. Juliet will always be home. “This is where it all started,” Christie says. “And we’re so honored to walk alongside local families during such meaningful seasons of life.”
“What I craved during my pregnancies was a space that felt warm & personal.” Whether you’re expecting your first or documenting your growing family, White Stork & Co. invites you into a space where connection is celebrated and memories are made to last a lifetime. White Stork & Co. is located at 1982 Providence Parkway, Suite 254 in Mount Juliet, TN. For more information, visit whitestorkandco.com.

LIGHTING THE WAY
How Ferguson Home Elevates Style & Service in Mt. Juliet ARTICLE BY KOURTNEY MCCOMB PHOTOGRAPHY BY KIMBERLY BROOKE & CO.
16
I NSP IR E D BY | HO ME + D E SIGN
At Ferguson Home, a bath, kitchen and lighting showroom in Mt. Juliet, design inspiration meets exceptional service in a setting that feels more like a boutique experience than a traditional showroom. Established in 1953, Ferguson has grown into a nationwide leader with over 1,750 branches, yet each location—including Mt. Juliet’s—maintains a distinctly local, personalized approach. “Lighting is the jewelry of the home,” says Anna Newton, showroom manager. “It can truly make or break a space.” While often an afterthought in home design, lighting is one of the most transformative elements. Ferguson’s design consultants help guide clients, whether they’re homeowners, builders, or interior designers, through a thoughtful selection process tailored to their needs. Appointments are encouraged to ensure uninterrupted time, and clients leave with a personalized portfolio that brings their vision to life room by room. In addition to stylish interior lighting, Newton has noticed a rise in demand for exterior lighting that goes beyond the
traditional lantern. “Manufacturers are finally offering more creative designs and finishes,” she says, which can dramatically enhance curb appeal. From matte black and burnished bronze to sleek modern shapes, outdoor lighting now contributes to a home's overall aesthetic rather than simply being functional. But lighting is just the beginning. Ferguson offers a wide range of products—plumbing, appliances, cabinet hardware, and even tile—plus services many first-time visitors don’t expect. Their team understands how overwhelming home projects can feel and prides itself on removing stress at every stage. What truly sets Ferguson apart, Newton explains, is a culture of care. “We know we’re not going to be perfect every time, but we’ll always strive to be better and be there long after the project ends.” With ever-evolving displays, working appliances, and even custom coffee drinks on offer, Ferguson’s Mt. Juliet showroom invites visitors to not just shop, but to dream, plan, and stay inspired.

Cruisin’ Through Time The Fleming Family’s Legacy on Wheels
Along a once-sleepy stretch of Highway 109 in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, the sound of revving engines wasn’t just background noise—it was the heartbeat of a community. At the center of it all were Sam and Shane Fleming, the father-son team behind Fleming’s Tire Sales, a beloved local business that served neighbors, friends, and even the occasional celebrity for over two decades. Established in 1988, Fleming’s Tire Sales quickly became more than just a tire shop. Sam and Shane offered reliable service with a personal touch—whether it was rotating tires, handling alignments, or diagnosing a squeaky brake. Their loyal customers came to rely on them not just for repairs, but for honest advice, familiar faces, and a strong sense of community. One local resident fondly recalls how the Flemings could swap out a full set of tires, balance them, and have a customer back on the road in 30 minutes or less. The two worked with such fluidity, it was as if they were reading each other’s minds. The shop’s closure in 2006, brought on by the widening of Highway 109, marked the end of an era—but not the end of the Flemings’ story. With

their business behind them, Sam and Shane poured their shared energy into their first automotive love: restoring classic American muscle cars. Their passion—rooted in a lifelong appreciation for Camaros, Bel Airs, Corvettes, and Vegas—found new life in restoration projects that filled their weekends and free time. At the heart of their garage today is Shane’s meticulously restored 1968 Chevy Camaro, a silver beauty built from the ground up. Every detail was sourced with care—original parts gathered from swap meets, car shows, and private collectors. Though technically a modified build due to its custom wheels and modern touches, Shane’s Camaro remains as true to the original design as possible. The result? Over 25 trophies, including “Best of Show,” “Tennessee’s Favorite,” “Mayor’s Choice,” “Pro’s Choice Car,” and “Pro’s Choice Interior.”
Shane’s journey with Camaros spans years and colors—from bold reds to classic blacks and cheerful yellows. Whether convertible or hardtop, each car was a learning experience that helped him perfect the art of building a show-winning vehicle. His silver Camaro now stands as the crowning jewel in a long line of labor-intensive projects that reflect both his dedication and eye for detail. Sam, meanwhile, still owns the cherished 1955 Chevy Bel Air convertible that brought baby Shane
home from the hospital. It remains one of the most sentimental symbols of their shared love for cars and the history behind them. That same Bel Air—polished and pristine—still turns heads at shows and serves as a reminder of how deep the roots of their passion run. In 2010, Shane took his commitment a step further by building a garage at his home in Mount Juliet. It’s now the headquarters for his restoration work, a space where he spends endless hours preparing for the next car show and hunting for parts. Together, Sam and Shane have earned a reputation on the local and regional car show circuit, winning accolades and admiration wherever they go.

When Style Meets Strategy
HOW SMART INTERIOR DESIGN ELEVATES YOUR HOME’S BEAUTY, FUNCTIONALITY, AND FUTURE VALUE ARTICLE BY BROOKE ANTONAKOS PHOTOGRAPHY BY BOTH MINDS DESIGN AND RANDY ALAN SHAFFER
22
H OM E U P DAT E | ARTS + CU LT U RE

Whether you're planning a full renovation or just want your living room to feel a little more “you,” small updates can make a big impact—not just in how your home looks, but in how it functions and holds value long-term. At Brooke’s On Main, we work with homeowners, builders, and designers every day to help them make thoughtful selections that feel personal, practical, and timeless. Here are a few smart strategies we love to share:
LIGHTING: THE JEWELRY OF THE HOME
Lighting isn’t just functional—it’s foundational. Swapping out builder-grade fixtures for pieces with personality instantly elevates a room. Alabaster brings an earthy softness and a sense of the outdoors in—plus, there are beautiful faux alabaster options that offer the same look at a more approachable price point. Milk glass helps diffuse light for a softer glow that flatters any room. Brass brings timeless sophistication and warmth, while bronze grounds the space and adds contrast—especially against lighter, neutral walls. And don’t be afraid to mix finishes—it creates depth and keeps the room feeling layered and lived-in.
WALLPAPER: ADD TEXTURE, PATTERN, OR DRAMA
Wallpaper is one of the easiest ways to tell a story in a space. Whether you go bold with a mural, classic with a floral, or layered with a grasscloth texture, it adds depth and interest in a way paint simply can’t.
NEED HELP VISUALIZING?
We offer complimentary in-store consults to talk through ideas and narrow down options. Our in-house consultant, Laura Gamradt, is here to help make the process feel simple and tailored—whether you're starting from scratch or fine-tuning the last few pieces. Already working with a designer? Perfect. We love being an extra asset on your team—from sourcing those hard-to-find fixtures to helping fill in the gaps wherever it makes sense.

For Olivia Russell, founder of Russell Crafted, cabinetry and stonework are far more than functional, they’re foundational to how a home lives and breathes. What began as a passion project rooted in design and craftsmanship has evolved into a full-service design and installation firm dedicated to creating beautiful, personalized spaces that reflect each client’s unique story. “At its core, Russell Crafted is about helping clients discover what works best in their homes,” Olivia shares. That means balancing visual impact with practicality, integrating hidden storage into kitchen islands, designing cabinetry that’s both eye-catching and highly usable, and using every detail with purpose and intention. Her process is refreshingly personal. “We start by listening,” she says. Clients often don’t arrive with a clear vision, but through thoughtful conversation, hands-on samples, 3D renderings, and curated inspiration, they’re empowered to make confident design decisions. “It’s not about pressure, it’s about clarity. Custom work should reflect your routines and values.” CONTINUED >

Design inspiration comes from all around: nature, architecture, fashion, travel, even the rhythms of a busy household. Olivia blends timeless materials with modern touches to create spaces that feel current yet enduring. “Wood cabinetry adds warmth and character, and natural stone offers tactile beauty that’s never duplicated. These materials tell a story.” Her favorite projects often involve creative problem-solving. One recent example: a minimalist kitchen that required major

storage in a small footprint. “We used interior pull-outs, clever cabinetry, and a streamlined design to deliver on both form and function—without sacrificing style.” Ultimately, Russell Crafted isn’t just about building beautiful kitchens or baths, it’s about building meaningful experiences. “Style isn’t about trends,” Olivia says. “It’s about quiet confidence. It’s knowing your home reflects who you are.” With every project, she and her team help clients create spaces they can live in beautifully, every single day.

LIVING STYLE THE INTERSECTION OF FASHION AND HOME
ARTICLE BY TYLER AMADEUS PHOTOGRAPHY BY ADRIEN KING AND ALEC WALWORTH
IN
this unexpected love affair, fashion and interiors are more than just a simple pairing—they are rooted in culture, creativity, and the human desire for self-expression. As conscious consumers of the 21st century, participating in a retail landscape that is oversaturated and struggling to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the modern customer, our purchasing power should not only respond to a feeling of want but also prioritize items that reflect who we are and who we aspire to be. This is clearly visible through the representation of fashion and interiors. Although we tend to consider cost-perwear primarily when it comes to clothing, this same principle applies to furniture and the function it brings to the home. Aesthetics and functionality both play a role in this pairing, painting a picture for
the rest of the world of who the wearer is and how they live in their space. The woman who wears a blazer with sharp shoulders that makes her feel powerful in her everyday life—or the black dress that gives her a necessary boost of confidence—may naturally gravitate toward sleek, modern furniture that feels equally strong and elevates the space where the modern woman thrives. In the same way, someone who prefers an effortless ensemble—like their favorite white T-shirt and comfortable denim jeans—may also look for home pieces that
are functional and make their guests feel at ease. Even a handmade rug, one that sparks conversation about where it was found and adds a focal point to a room, mirrors how we search our closets for a sweater tied to a cherished memory. Just as we carefully choose outfits to express ourselves, it’s equally important to ensure that our living spaces are designed with the same intention. More than ever, modern buyers are making purchasing decisions based on personal morals and values, forming a new wave of consumers who seek products that are both high-quality and environmentally or socially conscious, whether for themselves or their homes. The following imagery affirms that living a timeless lifestyle across all aspects of life is possible through the thoughtful styling of sustainable clothing and vintage furniture. As the modern retail landscape continues to evolve, it’s become increasingly vital to make conscious consumer choices—ones that allow us to express our truest selves through both our wardrobes and the places we call home.
