We have said it before, but Mount Juliet truly is a gem in the way that it has survived many years before us; off the beaten path, underrated, yet resilient. Had it not rooted itself over the years in its' people, the families and the businesses that have thrived here, it would not have had such resilience through some of the worst of times recently. Transitioning to residential real estate felt like the right fit, but he was determined to do so in a way that was genuine and relational. Bobby knows there’s a very human side to owning property and he has a real heart for what people are going through. Many times, it’s because families are transitioning to a new phase of life, such as marriages, deaths, empty nesters, newborns, etc., and that can be really stressful. He shares, “I want to be a light for people during this time.” But it doesn’t end there. He plans to stay in contact with his clients longterm, like your insurance agent or family doctor. Bobby says, “some people don’t even remember their realtor’s name because it’s become so transactional with technology.” He’s trying something different: relationship-based real estate. His goal isn’t to be on billboards with a huge list of contacts. He simply wants a core group of clients that he can serve well. He knows it takes time to build trust and he’s eager to do it in a way that’s organic and authentic. He received his real estate license a year ago this month and his vision is catching on. He already sees referrals from current clients. It’s time to do away with the stigma of realtors being like used cars salesmen. Bobby says, “I want to be your real estate agent for life.” McLamb is super nerdy when it comes to contract wording and crunching numbers. His time in the home-building industry showed him that there are a lot of details that can be overlooked. His proficiency in this area has saved his clients both time and money. He has a creative side too. He says his dad is 100% responsible for his love of music. Growing up, he always had the radio turned on no matter what they were doing. His dad was very artistic and expressed himself through playing guitar and making up silly words to popular songs. Bobby remembers

JULIET WAS ALREADY A CITY ON THE RISE, AND

DESPITE THE TORNADO THAT TORE THROUGH THE AREA IN MARCH OF LAST YEAR, THE CITY CONTINUES TO GROW. Most of us remember where we were when the storms hit, and the memories are still raw for those who suffered damage. But there is hope for counting our blessings. For example, Mt Juliet Family Vision moved to their new location at 1005 Charlie Daniels Parkway in April of this year after fifteen years at their previous location on Mt Juliet Road.

“Our focus is to take care of every patient and ensure they have a great experience.” The tornado damaged their two-story building taking out the second floor completely. The first floor suffered damage to several rooms, including equipment. Several areas caved in, and the foundation shifted. In fact, the sign for their business was later found near Watertown. Even though they had just renovated the old office, and expansion plans were in the works, they were left with no choice but to move into a temporary space. Their office manager had to move into her garage. They managed to salvage some previous orders and make home visits to patients also devastated by the tornado, offering services at no charge. They usually provide routine eye exams, optical orders and repairs, optometry glasses/contacts, and primary eye care. But even after the interim relocation, COVID hit, which further complicated how they could provide those services. Dr. Kevin Davis runs the business that his father, Dr. Michael Davis, and uncle Dr. Peter Davis helped to found back in the ‘80s. They are carrying on the family legacy of providing eye care excellence. When asked how the tornado had changed the way they do business, Dr. Kevin Davis remarked, “Perspective wise, things can change at a moment’s notice. Our focus is to take care of every patient and ensure they have a great experience. I am most thankful for my family. We do everything together and have each other’s backs. Most families may not work well together, but it works for us. It’s because it’s a team effort.” CityLifestyle.com/MountJuliet
