Leading with heart

Dear Neighbors,

There’s a certain kind of woman you’ll find in Millcreek.

She’s building something; sometimes a business, sometimes a family, sometimes herself. Most days, it’s all three. She leads with heart, shows up for her community, and somehow still finds the courage to evolve.

This issue is for her.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it really means to be “successful.” Not the polished version we see online, but the grounded, human version—the one rooted in connection, collaboration, and impact.

In these pages, you’ll meet women who embody exactly that.

Women like Molly Jones of The Agency, who is redefining what leadership looks like in real estate choosing collaboration over competition and building something far more meaningful because of it.

Women like Stacy Chamberlain of Edward Jones, who reminds us that investing isn’t just about money—it’s about security, intention, and creating a future you feel proud of.

And women like Paula Coleman, a Millcreek local inspiring others to get up, get moving, and reclaim their vitality after 50 proving that it’s never too late to feel strong, confident, and fully alive.

This issue is a reminder that connection doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like lingering over brunch with friends, discovering a new favorite spot, and making time for the moments that fill you back up. (Be sure to explore our local brunch guide—you might just find your next go-to.)

We see you ladies! Keep rising, leaning into kindness, and leading with love. You truly make a difference. Until next month...

With love,

May 2026

INAUGURAL Salt Lake ART SHOW

Bringing Global Art to Sandy

The first-ever Salt Lake Art Show will transform Sandy into a hub of artistic expression from May 14 to May 17, 2026.

Designed to refresh the traditional fine art fair experience, this new four-day, family-friendly community event promises an elegant, fun, and highly inclusive atmosphere for both seasoned art collectors and local enthusiasts.

The exhibition style is the brainchild of artist-executives Kevin O’Keefe and Briana Dolan. As a father-daughter team, they noticed that many major art shows across the country felt unwelcoming and suffered from heavy duplication in their featured galleries. Inspired by a strong desire for genuine connection in a post-pandemic world, Kevin and Briana developed a new framework that benefits artists, buyers, and the local community equally. They began with the Reno-Tahoe Art Show in 2022.

“This idea all came about due to the strangeness of Covid,” Briana explained. “My husband and I, and my parents, all relocated to Reno. We learned after moving there that there were a tremendous number of artists working and living there, and many art organizations, but we wanted to meet the need for more cultural events.  We wanted to create something different than anything else we had seen in the art fairs we visited.”

The Salt Lake Art Show is a welcoming environment that highlights a massive range of artistic media:

• Global Galleries: An impressive selection of galleries and working studios visiting from around the world.

• Monumental Sculptures: The nation’s top sculptors, featuring large-scale works similar to those fabricated for events like Burning Man.

• Regional Talent: A carefully curated lineup of standout independent artists from the surrounding area.

• Native American Artistry: Leading contemporary Native American sculptors and artists showcasing vital, stunning pieces.

• Local Utah Talent: Exceptional artists from Utah celebrating the vibrant, homegrown art scene.

Moving beyond traditional fine art, the experience encompasses a sprawling 10,000-square-foot Custom Furniture and Lighting showcase, an indoor Sculpture Walk, and a specialized First Nations and Indigenous Peoples Pavilion.

INVEST IN COMMUNITY

Thirty years ago, a promise was made — that when a child enters crisis, they would not be met with fear, but with care.

That promise has now protected more than 185,000 children across Utah and beyond.

Thirty years built this mission. The next thirty will sustain it.

Help ensure that children in crisis are protected — not just today, but for generations to come.

Every child deserves a childhood.

REMOVE BARRIERS TO ‘YES’

TIPS FOR STAYING ACTIVE FOR WOMEN OVER 50

Turning 50+ is not a winding-down phase. It is the perfect time to lace up your shoes, step out, and discover what you are truly capable of! If you think it is too late to try a new sport or explore a different trail, it is time to map a different course.

OVERCOME THE "TOO LATE" MINDSET

It is easy to let self-doubt dictate our choices. Many women feel that their window for starting new physical pursuits has closed. Local writer, 'recovering lawyer & practicing parent' and adventurer Paula Colman is on a mission to shatter that mindset. Her goal when writing about Utah is to help women remove the barriers to saying "yes".

Paula, her husband Howard and three children moved to Utah from Houston in 2010.

"I could barely get down a cat track,” Paula laughed, “So when we moved here, I had to decide whether to study for the bar exam or take ski lessons. I think I made the right choice. I started skiing with some girlfriends I met here, and discovered that by going out regularly with them, I not only learned to ski better, I swore less. 'SkiMums' was hatched after a call to Snowbird, and it offered us free lessons for ten seasons. That led to even more girlfriends and adventures and the need to keep up.

BUILD STRENGTH AND COMMUNITY

Staying active is key for longevity. Moving your body boosts cardiovascular health, builds crucial bone density, and increases your daily energy levels. In addition to active pursuits, Paula works out indoors at The Smart Fit Method; outdoors, she wears a weighted vest and gear by Omorpho.

"Women over 50 are realizing they don't need to focus so much on cardio; muscle strength is more important," Paula says. "Get stronger to play longer."

Finish it by building community. Joining a hiking club, a beginner's ski lesson or just getting on a trail introduces you to an encouraging support system.

"Whatever your background, age or situation, when you step foot on a trail or groomed run, you share something with those women beside you," Paula explained. "We give ourselves permission to put everything else aside and enjoy the moment and start to believe anything is possible."

REMOVE YOUR BARRIERS

Taking that first leap does not require extreme measures. Remove barriers with small, manageable actions, and keep an open mind. "Utah has taught me that saying 'yes' is usually the better choice," she says. "It may take me down a path I have not been down before, but I usually come out upright."

You don’t need to be the best person on the trail— showing up is what truly matters. As Paula puts it, the outdoor community in Utah is incredibly welcoming. People are eager to offer encouragement and celebrate the efforts of anyone  giving it a try.

TAKE YOUR FIRST STEP TODAY

Your 50s represent an exciting chapter filled with possibilities, a time to clear out the excuses and celebrate everything your body and mind can do. Are you ready to jump into the fun? Grab a friend, step outside, and start your next great adventure today!

REDEFINING SUCCESS: COMMUNITY, IMPACT, AND THE NEW LUXURY

How The Agency is replacing competition with collaboration to create a culture where people and their families come first.

Champagne catches the light as it's poured in the kitchen of a stunning Sandy estate, laughter moving easily between conversations that feel more like connection than business. For Molly Jones, this is the point. Luxury was never meant to feel transactional; it's meant to feel personal.

It's a philosophy born not from following the traditional real estate playbook but from questioning it. After years in an industry driven by competition and constant pressure to perform, Molly found herself successful on paper but unfulfilled in practice.

"I love the art of the deal," she says, "but doing deals didn't drive me. It didn't feel like I was making a difference."

So she built something different. Alongside her business partner, Joey Sutorius, Molly launched The Agency with a clear intention: to create a space where

“I love the art of the deal,” she says, “but doing deals didn't drive me. It didn't feel like I was making a difference. ”

collaboration replaces competition, and where people are encouraged to show up fully as themselves.

What started as a small, relationship-driven team has grown into a 60-agent brokerage: without cold recruiting, without chasing leads, and without compromising culture. "We realized how much we could build just by being collaborative," she says.

A COLLECTIVE EFFORT

That same energy still defines the brokerage today. At The Agency, success isn't hoarded; it's shared. When a listing goes live, it becomes a collective effort. Agents show up, market, and build momentum together, creating not only greater exposure for the client but a culture where growth feels expansive, not competitive.

For agent Rachel, that environment was exactly what she had been searching for. "There's no ego here," she says. "Everybody shows up for everybody."

THE INTEGRATION OF LIFE AND CAREER

As a mother of three, Rachel has built her career in a way that integrates her life. Kids are welcome. Family isn't something to work around; it's something to work with.

"You shouldn't have to choose," Molly says. "Between your career and your life." It's a perspective that resonates deeply, especially in a culture where women often feel forced into one role or the other. At The Agency, that narrative is being rewritten.

"The balance isn't doing everything perfectly," Rachel explains. "It's being able to move between it all and giving yourself grace."

BOLD LEADERSHIP AND RADICAL HONESTY

That grace, paired with accountability and intention, defines Molly's leadership, both bold and deeply supportive. "She speaks life into people," Rachel says. And

yet, Molly is clear that authenticity isn't about being loud, it's about being honest.

"Clarity is kindness," she says. "Even if it means not being for everyone." That belief shapes everything, from who they bring on to how they show up. The result is a business that feels aligned, intentional, and deeply human.

THE NEW MEANING OF SUCCESS

Because at its core, this isn't just about real estate. It's about people. It's about trust. It's about the moments that shape a life. And for Molly, success has taken on a different meaning.

"It's waking up and going to bed proud of the day you had," she says. For Rachel, it's just as simple: "It's enjoying the experience as you go."

Together, they represent a new kind of leadership: one that proves you don't have to sacrifice who you are to build something meaningful. Because in the end, success isn't just what you build, it's how many lives you impact along the way.

GUIDING

Stacy Chamberlain’s Blueprint for Financial Well-Being

WAY THE

For many, the world of finance can feel like a labyrinth of complex terms and uncertain paths. It’s a landscape where numbers often overshadow the human stories behind them. But for Stacy Chamberlain, a financial advisor with Edward Jones since 2003, the human story is the entire point. She has built a career not on transactions, but on transformations, guiding everyday people through life’s most significant financial moments with a steady hand and a compassionate heart.

"I was drawn to Edward Jones for the ethics; they put clients first," Stacy shared. "The company was exactly the type of company I wanted to work for. Putting my clients first was very important to me, as was educating and helping people. This is an area where many people feel they don't have the information they need, so it puts me in a position to educate people."

Her approach is simple: financial planning is life planning. Stacy cultivates long-term relationships with her clients, becoming a trusted partner in their journey. This isn't just about retirement accounts and investment portfolios; it's about understanding what matters to them. She helps people articulate their life goals—from funding a child's education to traveling the world—and then builds a financial strategy to make those dreams a reality.

One of the most challenging transitions anyone can face is the loss of a spouse. In these moments of grief, financial decisions can feel overwhelming and insurmountable. This is where Stacy’s role transcends that of a typical advisor. She provides a calm, clear voice, helping surviving partners navigate the immediate financial logistics and, more importantly,

pivot toward a new future. Her guidance empowers them to regain their footing and redefine their goals with confidence, ensuring they feel secure and supported as they move forward.

Life’s complexities don’t stop there. Stacy has also become a go-to resource for those navigating complex financial dynamics, such as those in blended families. She helps couples merge their financial lives, plan for children from previous relationships, and create a unified strategy that honors everyone's needs. In addition, Stacy works with small business owners, helping them untangle personal and business finances, plan for succession, and realize the next steps for their entrepreneurial ventures. She understands that these situations require more than just financial acumen.

Outside of her professional life, Stacy shares an adventurous family life with her husband, Hammond, and their two daughters, Audrey and Sydney. Together, they love to travel, with trips to Costa Rica and London on the docket for this year, creating memories as they explore new places. Their home is bustling with the joys of their large and diverse pet family, which includes a dog, two cats, two geckos, two frogs, and a bearded dragon. Stacy also takes time for herself by walking several times a week, indulging her love for reading, and experimenting in the kitchen to create delicious meals.

To learn more or to connect with Stacy Chamberlain, you can reach her at: stacy.chamberlain@edwardjones.com

"Business owners are often busy with their own business and don't have time to worry about the finances," Stacy said. Driven by a desire to help her clients make an even greater impact, Stacy is currently pursuing her Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation. This specialized program equips advisors to help individuals and families achieve their charitable goals. By earning this designation, Stacy is broadening her ability to guide clients in creating a meaningful legacy, turning their financial success into a powerful force for good in their communities.

"I love working with people and the relationships," Stacy said. "Coaching them, even through difficult times, those relationships get to be pretty tight over a long period of time."

BECKY HILLYARD

From Side Hustle to Style Empire

The power of taste, trust, and the courage to “just start.”

She didn’t have a business plan, a media budget, or even a name anyone could pronounce. What Becky Hillyard had was taste, a young family, and the instinct to just start. Today, her lifestyle brand Cella Jane commands an audience the size of Vogue’s, she’s nine collections strong with Splendid, and she’s built it all while raising three kids — refusing to sacrifice one for the other. In an exclusive conversation for the Share the Lifestyle podcast, Becky shares what it really takes to build a brand, a career, and a life you love. Read the highlights below, then scan the QR code for the full conversation.

Q: WHEN DID YOU KNOW CELLA JANE WAS MORE THAN A HOBBY?

A: Two moments. Women started emailing me saying they bought something I recommended and felt amazing — asking me to help them find a dress for a wedding. That felt incredible. Then I looked at my affiliate numbers for one month and realized I could cover our mortgage. I thought, I can actually do this. I never set out to build a business. I started it because I genuinely loved it.

Becky in Splendid x @CellaJaneBlog Spring 2026 Collection

Q: WHAT WAS THE BIGGEST RISK YOU EVER TOOK WITH THE BRAND?

A: Designing my own collection. It’s easy to point at items on a website and say I love these. But to create something from scratch, put your name on it, and wait to see if people connect with it — that’s terrifying. I had an incredible partner in Splendid, and women loved the pieces. It was the biggest risk and the biggest accomplishment.

Q: HOW HAS INFLUENCER MARKETING CHANGED SINCE YOU STARTED?

A: When I started, brands didn’t know whether to take it seriously. Now it’s a legitimate line item in their marketing budgets — sometimes bigger than TV. Because what we’ve built is trust. People trust a real recommendation from someone they follow far more than a commercial. There’s no question about it now.

Q: YOU’RE A MOM OF THREE RUNNING A FULL BRAND. WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?

A: I try to get up at five and not hit snooze — that first hour before the house wakes up is the most productive, most peaceful hour of my day. Then it’s all hands on deck with the kids and school drop-off. After that I work — planning content, connecting with my team, editing. After pickup, the day shifts completely and it’s all about them. I’ve learned to protect both halves fiercely, because both matter.

Q: WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BUILD SOMETHING OF THEIR OWN BUT KEEPS WAITING?

A: Don’t wait. Don’t wait for the perfect camera, the right strategy, or enough followers. We find every excuse to stay comfortable. Just start, be consistent, and be authentically yourself. The right people will find you — and they’ll stay.

This conversation is just the beginning. Becky goes deeper on the risks that almost stopped her, the design process behind her latest Splendid collection, and what she’d tell her 2012 self today. Scan the QR code for the full, exclusive City Lifestyle interview on the Share the Lifestyle Podcast.
