Cheers to 10 Years

Celebrating the holidays and 10 years of Medina County Lifestyle
The holiday season is here, bringing with it the sights, sounds and traditions that make this time of year so magical. For many of us, the holidays are a chance to recreate the joy we felt as children, whether it’s through the twinkle of festive lights, the aroma of holiday baking or cherished family traditions.

In my family, one tradition we’ve held onto is making fried dough each year on Christmas Eve. The fried dough itself is nothing special per se — think of it like funnel cake but salty instead of sweet and shaped like little biscuits — but it’s the sound of the oil popping in the pan and laughter mingling from the kitchen that I cherish the most.
In addition to celebrating a beautiful holiday season this month, we’re ecstatic to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Medina County Lifestyle with a very special article. We’re so honored to be part of such a wonderful community, and we couldn’t do it without the support of our readers and generous partners. Thank you, thank you, thank you for 10 wonderful years, Medina County! And cheers to many, many more.
Until next year,

We pride ourselves in raising hormone and soy free Wagyu beef. Wagyu is a treasure trove of nutrients including protein, iron, B12 trace minerals and much more. It contains a high proportion of omega-3 and omega six which are essential for heart health and can contribute to overall wellness. An Unforgettable Evening of Style, Purpose and Community Impact
MEDINA MEADOWS AND WESTERN RESERVE MASONIC COMMUNITY TEAM UP TO HOST PURSES WITH A PURPOSE

It’s back and bigger than ever. Medina Meadows and Western Reserve Masonic Community are teaming up once again to host one of the most anticipated local events of the year. The fourth annual Purses with a Purpose is set for February 3, 2026, at Western Reserve Masonic Community in Medina.

The fundraiser brings together the community for a fashion-focused event in support of local nonprofit Feeding Medina County’s Staples for Seniors program. Funds raised at the event help the program provide essential groceries, like fresh produce, meat, dairy and pantry staples to seniors living in subsidized housing throughout Medina County.
Here’s what guests can expect:
• A vibrant, community-focused atmosphere
• Silent auctions featuring designer handbags, stylish accessories and unique gift items
• Fun raffles
• Light appetizers
Organizers Kimberly Valco of Western Reserve Masonic Community and Devon Diello of Medina Meadows and Luxor Healthcare invite local businesses and individuals to join the cause by sponsoring, donating auction items or simply showing up to enjoy the evening. Event sponsorships range from $100 to $1,000. If you’d like to contribute to the silent auction, consider donating an item such as a designer purse, wallet, jewelry, perfume or gift card. Every little bit helps, and every ticket sold brings the community one step closer to a hunger-free Medina County. Tickets to the event are $30 per person. To sponsor the event, make a donation or purchase a ticket, email Devon Diello at diello@luxorhealthcaregroup.com .

MEDINA COUNTY
LIFESTYLE AND MAIN STREET MEDINA
Celebrating a Decade of Connection in Medina County
Ten years ago, Medina County Lifestyle Magazine set out with a simple yet powerful mission — to connect residents with the people, places and stories that make our community shine. Since our first issue in January 2016, the magazine has celebrated the businesses, leaders, and neighbors who embody the heart of Medina County.
Our story began 19 years ago when publisher Joe Violi moved to Medina and quickly fell in love with the town and its strong sense of community. When he decided to launch Medina County Lifestyle Magazine, he saw it as the perfect opportunity to connect readers and local businesses — a way to celebrate the people, places and stories that make Medina County so special. What began as a vision to highlight the best of the area has

UPCOMING CHARITY EVENT OR SHARING A FAVORITE RECIPE FROM A LOCAL CHEF, EVERY STORY IS CHOSEN WITH CARE.”
since become a trusted resource and a reflection of the community’s vibrant spirit.
At its core, Medina County Lifestyle Magazine is more than a magazine — it’s a reflection of the community’s spirit. From the beginning, our goal has been to highlight the most positive aspects of living here: the creativity of local entrepreneurs, the generosity of volunteers and the beauty of the everyday moments that define Medina County life.
As Editor Emily Shea-Owen explains, “Medina County Lifestyle is more than just a magazine — it’s a true community resource. Its purpose goes beyond the pages; it’s about bringing people together. Whether it’s highlighting an upcoming charity event or sharing a favorite recipe from a local chef, every story is chosen with care. My goal is to shine a light on the incredible people who make our community

so special and to help create meaningful connections through the stories we tell.”
Over the past decade, the magazine has featured hundreds of local businesses, organizations and nonprofits that make Medina County thrive. From exploring the fairways at Shale Creek Golf Club and savoring dinner at The Oaks, to featuring wellness destinations like Tru Barre and celebrating the natural beauty of the Medina County Park District, each story has showcased the best our county has to offer.
We’ve also shared the sweet success of Honey Bee Bakery, the nostalgic fun of Sweets & Geeks, the creative energy at Circles on the Square and the lively atmosphere of The Galaxy Restaurant and Entertainment Center. Through each feature, we’ve strengthened the connection between our readers and the local businesses they love.
As Publication Director Martha Doyle shares, “Every day, I have the privilege of connecting with passionate, dedicated individuals who care deeply about making our community stronger. Medina County is full of outstanding people — leaders, innovators and volunteers — who inspire me daily with their commitment and collaboration. It’s a privilege to be part of such a vibrant and engaged community.”
Behind every issue are the loyal marketing partners who make Medina County Lifestyle Magazine possible. Their support allows us to continue highlighting the local businesses, services, and stories that enrich everyday life.
We are deeply grateful for our longtime partners
— B.A. Schrock Financial Group, JK Gift Shop, Pristine Clean Power Washing, The Gutter Boys, Medina County District Library, Lexus of Cleveland, 2PiFit, Bent Nail Architectural Millwork, Budget Lightscapes, Cabinet-STop, Kauffman Lawn Furniture and Swiss Country Lawn & Crafts — whose continued belief in the power of community storytelling keeps this publication thriving. These partnerships represent more than just advertising relationships. They’re a shared commitment to celebrating and sustaining local business.
Of course, the heartbeat of Medina County Lifestyle Magazine lies in the relationships built with the small businesses and community members who fill its pages. To mark this milestone, a few of our long-term partners shared what being part of the magazine means to them and how it makes a positive impact on the community:

Rick Wallace, Wallace Home Furnishings, says:
“I have been partnering with Medina County Lifestyle for four years and I am completely satisfied with their performance.”
Courtney Gruber, Chippewa Stone, adds:
“Thank you for helping us continue to build our brand, providing excellent customer service and a great relationship! Happy 10th Anniversary!”
Christy Overman, Bubbles & Bows, shares:
“Congrats on 10 years! The magazine has allowed us to connect with so many wonderful businesses and individuals.”
Their words reflect what has always been at the heart of Medina County Lifestyle: connection, collaboration and community.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re filled with gratitude — for our readers, partners and everyone who has shared their stories with us. This anniversary is not just a look back at 10 years of success; it’s a promise to keep shining a light on the people and places that make Medina County extraordinary.
Here’s to the next decade of storytelling — of connecting, inspiring and celebrating all that makes this community home. Because in Medina County, every story is part of our story — and we’re honored to keep telling it.
