Life Isn’t Perfect, But Your Style Can Be
As a product of design school and even as a publisher, my goal is not only to convey the story, but to do so with panache. And for the most part, we’re all influenced by design, even though we might not know it. With just the mention of a name, our memory is jogged with images that influenced many of us…Calvin Klein, Gruppo Bertone, Members Only, Levi’s, Dr. Martens, Jantzen, Swatch, Capezio, Sassoon, Vera Wang, Kangol, Waterford, Ray-Ban, Tiffany...I could go on.
So this month, I want to take a moment to celebrate and explore the fascinating world of style. Style encompasses every aspect of our lives. From the way we decorate our homes to the music we listen to, from the books we read to the way we carry ourselves in conversations, style permeates every facet of our existence. It is the thread that weaves together the tapestry of our lives.
We start with custom clothier, Daniel Morroni, Sr. Often quoted, “the suit makes the man” is very true. A finely tailored suit or outfit can turn even a frog into a prince. Morroni Custom Clothier transforms the look of both men and women. From business executives to professional athletes…each design is a reflection of the individual.
The automotive industry is no exception to style. Since the beginning of racing…design often dictated speed, but style made you look good doing it. And our exploration of the Simeone Automotive Museum shows how the evolution of speed and style go hand in hand (ala Enzo Ferrari.)
Another aspect of style close to home (literally)...custom homes. Luxury realtor Gary Scheivert gives us the grand tour of a local property with fixtures and fittings that can only be called “Best of.”
For centuries we have been adorning ourselves as a reflection of style. Spending an absorbent amount of time applying eyeliner, lipstick, and more. Local cosmetic tattoo artist Jess Marin shows us how distinctive permanent makeup can revolutionize an everyday effort with stunning results
Another applicable quote is “we eat with our eyes” and the latest trend, charcuterie boards, is no exception. See how to take the humble crackers, cheese and prosciutto and make a Picasso on a board.
Finally, what I’ve found is that the best style is an authentic expression of who you really are. And that’s something no one on earth can duplicate. So here’s to being uniquely you!

A TAILORING LEGACY FOR MEN AND WOMEN
Classic Suit with Flair
Established in 1993, Morroni Custom is a destination for fashion for both men and women in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and beyond. Founder Daniel Morroni didn’t start his career in fashion. Initially, he followed in his father’s footsteps, working in the insurance industry. A chance meeting with a custom clothier ignited his passion for tailoring. “I told my father I’m leaving the business. He thought I was crazy, but it was the best decision I made,” he shares. Morroni spent seven years honing his craft. “I do the designing and measuring. I’m the idea guy,” he explains.
He works with NFL players and actors like Sylvester Stallone and Adam Sandler, he clarifies, “My athletes and celebrities, that’s fun to do... but that’s probably about 15-20% of our clientele.”
The bulk of his work comes from individuals seeking the perfect suit for their weddings, making around 500 custom suits annually for such occasions. He says, “The groom wants to look as special as the bride today.”
The allure of Morroni Custom lies in its personalized service and extensive options. He prides himself on catering to people of all shapes and sizes. “I have close to 3,000 options here. I create a pattern for every single individual person,” says Morroni.
The customization ensures a perfect fit, making his clients feel and look their best. “I want people to put on my suits and say, ‘I look good,’” he adds. Women’s custom business attire has also become a significant part of Morroni’s offerings. “I stick to classic cuts... what they wear today, they could wear 10 years from now,” he notes.
Former Eagle Corey Clement
Despite the demands of his job, Morroni’s passion remains undiminished. “I love everything about this job. My passion for this business has never changed,” he affirms. At 62, he has no plans of slowing down, viewing Morroni Custom as his “sixth child.”
Morroni says people want custom clothing and custom tailors are rare, “Options for men today are very limited unlike it is for women.” His clients trust him because he thoroughly knows their preferences and the clients know he will make them look good. As Morroni says, “After 34 years in business, I can look at someone’s body and know exactly where to focus – it’s very, very, important to me that everyone that walks out of these doors is taken care of and looks like a million bucks. And I know how to do that.”

AN IMPRESSIVE COLLECTION HONORING THE TIMELESS PURSUIT OF SPEED AND STYLE
The Classic Elegance of Automotive Racing

Simeone Museum
Mille Miglia Exhibit
Americans at Le Mans
Imagine a world-class collection of meticulously preserved racing sports cars right in our neighborhood. Neurosurgeon Dr. Frederick Simeone didwith his passion for racing sports cars that were not merely pristine showpieces but authentic artifacts that told the story of their time on the racetrack.
The Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum's collection embodies this philosophy of preservation over restoration. His approach was revolutionary at the time, advocating for cars to be preserved in their original, “as-raced” condition. This approach has since gained widespread acceptance and positioned Dr. Simeone as a pioneer in the field of automotive preservation. The museum has been a destination for local and European automotive enthusiasts and casual visitors since its founding 15 years ago.
Executive Director, Kevin Kelly, highlights the relatability and beauty of historic racing sports cars. These vehicles were often dual-purpose, capable of being driven on public roads to the track, racing competitively, and then driving home.
Among the museum's race cars is the Bugatti Type 57G Tank. Originally designed for record-setting, this 1930’s car never lost a race. Among the races it entered, it won the French Grand Prix and the 1936 Le Mans. In 1941, Bugatti buried this car to prevent seizure by German forces during World War II. After the war, it was safely unearthed, restored to its former glory, and is now seen at the Simeone Museum. This car not only represents a pinnacle of automotive engineering but also a piece of wartime history.
The 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe was created by Carroll Shelby to defeat Ferrari. This aerodynamic car, packing a Ford engine, played a crucial role in securing America's first and only World Sports Car Championship for GT cars in 1965. This victory was a significant achievement, marking a triumph for Shelby, Ford, and America in the competitive world of international racing.
The museum also houses a 1934 MG K3, a small yet formidable British racing car with a small 1.1liter engine. At the 1934 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 1934 MG K3 came in 4th place behind other 1.1 liter engine British cars at 2nd and 3rd places. These cars defeated the preferred larger and powerful 3 liter engine cars that broke down in the intense 24 hours of racing. This race gave the 1934 MG K3 the nickname “the giant killer.”
The museum graciously hosts "Demo Days," where selected cars are taken out for demonstration runs on the tarmac. These interactive events allow the visitors to see, hear, and smell these historic vehicles in action.
The Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum is more than just an extensive collection of racing cars, it is a tribute to the competition, innovation, and preservation of automobile history. Dr. Simeone's legacy lives on through this remarkable institution, for the public to appreciate the rich history and beauty of racing sports cars.

Luxury Living in
LUXURY HELPS US FEEL BETTER - WHY NOT START WITH A GREAT HOME
Embracing luxury can significantly enhance our emotional well-being. Jean Lush, in her book “Women and Stress,” emphasizes the universal accessibility and importance of beauty in our daily surroundings. She writes, “beauty and a sense of order in your home are functional. Creating beauty around us gives us a sense of accomplishment, charges us with energy, and reduces tension... Beauty is a right for everyone and fundamental to emotional health.” Another expert, Dr. Cuyler, says luxuries “can trigger the release of feel-good neurotransmitters, improving overall mood.”
These high-end homes are curated to provide an extraordinary living experience, one that instills a sense of pride and satisfaction in their owners. The materials alone can be relatively inexpensive, but the choices of each minute detail come together to create the final product, which significantly increases the value of a home from ordinary to luxury.
That is the job of Gary Sheivert, a local expert in Media’s luxury real estate since 1993. His insights offer a look into the emotional and psychological benefits of these exquisite houses. He says, “at an early stage of my career, I learned about tile and marble and pulling colors together and feelings and sensations that people are looking for. Now, I sit down with each vendor and go through every detail.”
A significant part of Scheivert’s success lies in his ability to predict what is needed knowing current trends in interior design, and the ability to make the choices that have the highest satisfaction among buyers. “It’s the challenge

of pulling it all together and making it right. We need to put features in that will attract attention to the community that they can’t get elsewhere. People want different. Highend buyers want every convenience available.”
Fixtures and finishes make a luxury home. Sheivert says, the kitchen is the most important; it is the heart of the home. The trend in luxury home kitchens includes built-in refrigerators and high-end ranges, creating a seamless flow with an open floor plan. “You want beautiful cabinets, but more importantly, you need top-notch appliances to create a certain feeling,” he notes.
For Scheivert, the ultimate reward is seeing the joy on his clients’ faces when they realize their dream home. “It’s the satisfaction of seeing someone walk through the house and be happy with all the choices they made,” he shares. This emotional connection underscores the true essence of luxury homes—they are spaces where memories are made, and well-being is nurtured. By surrounding ourselves with beauty and allowing ourselves the pleasure of luxury, we create a life that is not only visually pleasing but also emotionally fulfilling. Luxury may not be something you need, but it is something that makes your day extraordinary – why not make every day extraordinary by living in a luxury home?

PERMANENT AND SEMI-PERMANENT MAKE-UP ENHANCEMENT HAS CHANGED THROUGH EXPERTISE AND CARE
WAKE UP TO A BEAUTIFUL YOU EVERY DAY
Jessica’s clients have options between permanent, hybrid, and semi-permanent makeup. Permanent pigments can last up to seven years or longer; hybrid pigments last around four to five years before gradually fading; and semi-permanent pigments fade within one to two years.
With a gentle technique and high-quality pigments, the results stay in the skin with less trauma. The skin is numbed for twenty to thirty minutes before the procedure, and a numbing solution is used throughout, between every pass.

Eclipse Cosmetic is a haven for those seeking a personalized and gentle approach to permanent makeup. Jessica Marin, the founder of Eclipse Cosmetic, has turned her lifelong passion for beauty into a transformative career in permanent makeup. From her studio in Media, Jessica brings a blend of artistic precision, compassion, and a deep understanding of beauty to her clients.
Jessica’s introduction to permanent makeup began at a young age. Her mother and aunt had their eyebrows and eyeliner permanently done, a procedure that, back then, was bold, harsh, and painful. Despite the discomfort, the results made them feel more confident, leaving a lasting impression on young Jessica.
Her talent was evident early on, as friends sought her out for her unique ability to shape eyebrows. “In high school, everyone wanted me to do their eyebrows. For some reason, I became that eyebrow girl,” she laughs. She attended a prestigious school in Beverly Hills, where she learned the latest methods of creating realistic and natural permanent makeup. She now has over eight years of experience.
Some clients love the makeup look and want their eyebrows or lash lines to be consistently defined. Others prefer a natural look, opting for semi-permanent makeup to maintain a subtle enhancement without the commitment. Jessica’s approach is always to enhance what her clients naturally have, ensuring their features are highlighted in a way that flatters their unique face shape and style.
Beyond the aesthetic appeal, Jessica frequently works with cancer survivors, individuals with alopecia, and those with scarring or hair loss. By restoring features like eyebrows and lash lines, she helps these clients regain a sense of normalcy and confidence. Her careful and empathetic approach ensures that every client feels comfortable and supported throughout the process. “This is not just a beauty thing. It also changes lives,” she says.
Jessica limits her appointments to three or four clients a day, ensuring each one receives her full attention and care. “It’s all about what I’m giving to them, not how many clients I’m taking,” she emphasizes.
From enhancing everyday beauty to helping individuals reclaim their confidence after illness, Eclipse Cosmetic is more than a beauty studio—it’s a place where art meets empathy.

Charcuterie Party Styling
The Secrets to the Ulitmate Party WOW-Factor That Looks and Tastes Great
Kia Logan, owner of All Things Charcuterie, has been creating charcuterie boards for five years now which started out as a hobby. For years, people told Kia to make this her job. She prayed about it and the next morning, she woke up with the name “All Things Charcuterie.”
The perfect board is about placement and ingredients. The most important thing is everything on your board must be quality. Allow yourself one to two ounces of cheese and two ounces of meat per person. This will help you stay within budget. Start with thinking three cheeses, three meats, and three produce. This makes board decorating less complicated.
For cheeses, Kia suggests hard, like Parmesan, and soft such as brie or goat cheese, “If you’re looking at a square board, you want to make sure you have cheese placed on all four sides. It makes it easy for people to go in and grab.”
Next is meats. You can choose meats like baked ham, pureed ham, or prosciutto. A
small hallowed out red cabbage bowl is great for purees.
Crackers are placed next to the meats. “If you plate the cheese, the meat and the crackers next to each other, it’s just a nice flow,” says Kia. The types of crackers you choose depends on how big your board is. Small circular crackers are perfect for smaller boards. For larger spreads, like a grazing table, Kia suggests longer flatbread crackers.
Then add produce. Fruits like watermelon or pineapple will soak your crackers or your nuts, so you’ll want to add things like grapes, strawberries, or dried apricots. Then you’ll see little filler spaces. Fill these with crackers, nuts, or even chocolate covered candies.
Then move on to placing the savory items like olives and pickles. Try not to overcrowd your board. Simply make two boards.
To finish, Kia adds a beautiful garnish like thyme or rosemary.
The perfect board is about placement and ingredients... everything on your board must be quality. “
