Functional Medicine Labs and Targeted IV Therapy
Functional medicine labs show us what’s happening in your body that may be causing anxiety, low mood, or fatigue. With that information, targeted IV therapy gives your body the nutrients they need to repair, boost energy, and support clearer thinking. Together, they create a straightforward, evidence-based way to feel stronger—mentally and physically.
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
Ketamine-assisted therapy uses a low dose of ketamine to quiet the noise in the mind and loosen stuck thought patterns. This helps people see things more clearly and feel more steady. With medical oversight and guidance from licensed therapists, patients often find real relief from symptoms and the momentum to move forward. It’s a safe, evidence-based way to create meaningful change.
Evidence-Based Mental Health Therapy
Mental health therapy gives you a clear, grounded space to understand your patterns, steady your emotions, and build real resilience. Through evidence-based approaches, you learn practical tools that improve relationships, reduce anxiety, and strengthen your sense of self. It’s direct, supportive work designed to help you feel more capable and connected day to day.

Make

Yield: 1 pound
2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting 4 large eggs
1. Mound the flour in the center of a work surface with a well in the middle. Crack the eggs into the well and beat with a fork until smooth, then work flour into eggs with the fork. Use a bench scraper to work in the rest of the flour a little at a time. When the flour is incorporated, form the dough with your hands into a rounded mass for kneading. Lightly dust your workspace with flour and knead dough about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Cover dough with a bowl or plastic wrap and rest 1 1/2 hours, or chill overnight.
2. To roll by hand, flour a clean work surface. Vigorously roll dough to a very thin circle and roll constantly with even pressure as it stretches for several minutes until as thin as possible, almost translucent.
3. To cut by hand, lightly fold sheets one at a time into thirds and cut to desired thickness. Recipe from MarthaStewart.com .

16 ounces Bokek Dead Sea Salt
20 drops lavender essential oil
what you do
In a mixing bowl, add drops of the essential oil to the bath salt and mix well; store in a glass jar. Add 1/3 to 1/2 cup of the scented salts to a bath for a relaxing experience. SeaSalt.com
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup cocoa powder, for dusting
1. Bring the cream to just a simmer in a saucepan over low heat. Pour the cream over the chocolate in a bowl and let stand about 10 minutes to melt the chocolate. Add the vanilla, stir until smooth and set aside to cool for 1 hour at room temperature.
2. Beat chocolate at medium speed until thick and light-colored. Spread over the bottom of a baking dish, smooth and refrigerate 2 hours until firm.
3. Pour cocoa powder onto a deep plate or shallow bowl, and using a melon baller or small ice cream scoop, scoop out balls of chocolate. Roll in cocoa powder until coated and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Recipe from FoodNetwork.com

At Green Lion Landscaping, turning dream-home visions into reality isn’t just a business—it’s a family affair. With parents in real estate and siblings working as general contractors and framers, starting their own home improvement venture was a natural fit for Leon and Estefani Boerr. They established their business as they began their new life together as newlyweds.
The couple’s story is rooted in close relationships. They met through family—Leon was best friends with Estefani’s brother—and for a time, distance defined their dating experience. Leon had moved from Utah to work in Idaho, often traveling back and forth to visit Estefani on the weekends, before deciding that the Beehive State was the only place he wanted to settle and build a life with his fiancée. Utah was home. He missed the mountains and the milder seasons. Soon, the state became the backdrop not only for their marriage, but for the business they would grow together.
Transparency has been a core value of the business from the start. Rather than simply showing up and completing a job, Green Lion Landscaping walks customers through every step of the process, explaining materials, plant choices, and the step-by-step process.
Education has become part of Green Lion’s mission, especially focusing on the unique challenges brought on by Utah’s climate. Many homeowners don’t know which plants can survive year-round, how sprinkler systems
should be managed, which mulch is best, or how seasonal shifts affect landscaping. Leon and Estefani guide them through those decisions, empowering clients to maintain their spaces long after the job is complete.
That communication continues throughout the landscaping process. Clients are invited to check in and stay involved throughout the project. Leon and Estefani text frequently with updates, and they encourage their clients to contact them with any questions. They want every homeowner to feel comfortable speaking up. Green Lion’s goal is for the final space to reflect the client’s personality and the way they’ll live in it.
Watching that transformation unfold is the part Leon and Estefani love most. There’s something thrilling about beginning with bare ground or an outdated yard and reimagining it as a gathering place, a retreat, or a backdrop for family memories. Clients often are enthusiastic throughout the process, but the most rewarding moment comes at the end, when they step into a backyard that matches their personalities and finally feels like theirs.
their work but also their reliability. Even though things can get busy, they make a point of doing everything in their power to finish their jobs within the promised timeframe. Customer service is treated as seriously as the landscaping itself. Prioritizing each client’s needs and preferences ensures that every yard becomes a place people genuinely want to enjoy.
“There’s something thrilling about beginning with bare ground or an outdated yard and reimagining it as a gathering place, a retreat, or a backdrop for family memories.”
Behind the scenes, Leon handles much of the hands-on side of the business. He supervises and trains employees, welcoming both experienced workers and those completely new to landscaping. The goal is not just to complete projects; they believe that “everyone should have the opportunity to learn a new skill.”
Though Green Lion Landscaping is still a young business, started in 2024, it has already gained an excellent reputation, and its vision is expansive. The couple hopes to grow significantly over the next few years, continuing to create beautiful landscapes across Utah. That ambition fits naturally into a family culture built around homes and construction.
What also sets Green Lion Landscaping apart in a competitive industry is not only the quality of
For Green Lion Landscaping, it’s not just about grass, stone, or plants. It’s about trust, communication, and building something lasting—both for their customers and for their future together.

Valentine’s Day can be celebrated in many ways. Some people choose to go out for dinner and a movie, others hire a private chef for a romantic meal at home, some buy chocolates and find a fun activity in town, and some couples go out of town for an exciting getaway! One Valentine’s Day staple is giving a bouquet of flowers to someone special. Flowers are the gift that say I love you and can be given to your spouse, children, and mom. As a child, my father always got me roses on Valentine’s Day until I met my husband and he took over the tradition. A bouquet of flowers can say many things as each flower has a different meaning. If you’re wanting to say something special to the ones you love this Valentine’s Day, take a look at our list of three popular flowers, what they mean, and what flowers to pair them with.

LOVE & ROMANCE
Roses are by far the most popular flower to give on Valentine’s Day. They are beautiful by themselves or you can add Baby’s Breath to enhance the bouquet. These two make a romantic bouquet and are the perfect flowers to give to someone special.

PURITY & FERTILITY
Lilies come in a variety of colors and are eye-catching! For a softer looking bouquet, pair your lilies with carnations. These two combined are fun and heartwarming and are a great gift for anyone.

A bouquet of tulips will brighten any space! Adding some Ranunculus, also known as buttercup, will complement the tulips wonderfully. These flowers have a refreshing look that will decorate any home beautifully in a crystal vase.

supplies you’ll need:
• Wooden bowls, trays, etc.
• Gold leaf (or metallic gold paint)
• Gentle gold leaf brush
• Mod Podge (or gold leaf adhesive)
• Acrylic paint
• Paint brushes
• Painters tape (optional)

• Grab a wooden bowl, some acrylic paint, and a brush.
• Hand paint some paint on one section of the bowl.
• Let the first coat dry and paint another two to three coats of paint until you’re happy with the result.
• Let the paint fully dry.
• I wanted my gold leaf paper to overlap the paint for a layered look, so I took a paint brush and painted some Mod Podge in an overlapping pattern.
• Once the Mod Podge gets tacky, use your hand to apply the gold leaf and accompanying wax sheet.
• Push the gold leaf onto the tacky glue, then remove the top layer of paper.
• Use your fingers to gently push the gold leaf onto the glue a little further.
• Next, use the gold leaf brush to smooth over the whole area and gently wipe away any excess gold leaf. Pay extra attention to the edges.
• Next, smooth the gold leaf section as much as possible, but don’t worry about any imperfections. The organic look of the gold leaf being imperfect gives the piece character.
• Next, work your way to the outer edge.
• Once the gold leaf is perfected, gently brush over the leaf with some Mod Podge to seal it to the bowl.
• Let it completely dry and enjoy!

Teresa Lupus didn’t consider herself athletic growing up, but was always very active. After missing her entire senior year of high school because of an illness, she got into weight lifting to gain healthy weight. She taught aerobics in exchange for a gym membership in college, following workouts from fitness magazines but having no idea what she was doing. Some of the men in the gym took her under their wing and showed her how to lift weights. “I was literally the only girl in the weight room, but I didn’t care. I just wanted to get healthy.”
Once Teresa found out how much muscle contributes to overall health, she worked towards becoming a personal trainer, a goal she achieved at just 25 years old. “Back then it was aerobics and cardio only, and it was a hard sell to get women to lift weights.” Teresa has been promoting women’s strength training for over 30 years, and loves that the scientific proof is finally available. “You’re not going to get big and bulky. You’re just going to get healthy, you’ll get stronger bones, you’ll feel better, your hormones are regulated, your metabolism regulates, and you’ll still be able to eat.”

About 12 years ago, Teresa moved into CrossFit because she loved that CrossFit was putting a barbell in women’s hands. Teresa competed in and coached CrossFit for about 11 years. She considers the community and strength training to be the two best things about CrossFit, and that’s what she took from her experience with CrossFit when developing her gym: community and strength. “We’re very community-based. When I say my Boom family, it’s literally a family. We support each other. They’re not just a number.” Teresa, her partner Donnie Howell, and the Lehi location head trainer Tyson Evans, know their members by name and know what’s going on in each of their lives. Members often bring friends and family in because they want their people in the positive, uplifting environment at Boom. When Teresa took over the gym from the previous owner, she restructured the daily workouts and added weight-lifting

equipment. “At Boom, you get 24/7 access, group training that’s like personal training without the exorbitant price, and trainers who care. We can do one-on-one, small group personal training, and large group training, all within the same community.”
Boom Fitness is set apart by their customer service. Members know they’re the number one priority. As Teresa’s partner Donnie Howell said, “It’s not our gym. It’s their gym.” Teresa understands the importance of flexibility. At Boom, you don’t have to come in at the top of the hour, and you won’t be pushed from station to station. “I don’t want to add stress on top of stress. I want you to feel better walking out than you did walking in.”

Boom focuses on different body parts each day to aid recovery. They have two full body days and one cardio-centric active rest day. Teresa says the daily workout system is great because you don’t have to think about what you’re going to do, and the trainer is there to show you and make sure you’re safe.
Another thing that sets Boom Fitness Culture apart is that Teresa designs the workouts personally. They’re not AI-generated. They come from years of training hundreds of people. “You have one hour with us in the gym, but 23 hours outside, and we want those 23 hours to be better.”
Boom Fitness Culture’s philosophy is similar to Stephen Covey’s Eighth Habit: giving what you have and passing it forward. They want to teach people how to be healthy so at some point they can give that to someone else. “You never know who’s watching you or who’s being inspired by you. No matter your fitness level, you will inspire somebody. That’s why we built the community that we’ve

built.” A lot of couples work out together at Boom, with both partners seeing benefits because of the go-at-your-own-pace programming, and because they push each other. Some members bring their teenagers in, too, so they can learn how to lift correctly. If somebody comes in that hasn’t worked out for a while or has never worked out, Teresa meets them where they’re at. “If they can’t do the posted workout, I can lead them through a workout they can do and feel good that they did something. I can start somebody at zero and progress them into the workout of the day.”
As she gets older, Teresa is focusing on longevity for her workouts. She wants safe, sustainable strength training that she can do for the rest of her life, and for everyone in the gym to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible. Donnie especially understands how lifesaving lifting can be. “I had a health scare and the doctors
straight up told me, ‘the only reason you lived through that was because of your health. If you would not have been as healthy as you were, you surely would have died.’ Once you experience that, you want to give that to everybody. You want to look people in the eye and say, we can do this together, but we’ve got to do this if you want to be around for your kids and grandkids. It’s about being around for the people you love.”
