FITNESS SERVING UP STYLE LIFE +CULTURE FROM HAIR TO HOME TO HOBBIES

That title above got your attention, didn't it? Well, it also got enough attention and recognition to help me win my 7th-grade seat when running for Student Council too. "Vote January in May" was my campaign slogan and that was written on white business cards I passed out in the hallways at school. It was simple, creative and frankly "me". My style. Point of the story is...be yourself, be unique, rock to the beat of your own drum. It's a beautiful feeling.

This month we celebrate Style in the magazine and I have always loved style and design. I have always been drawn to unique things that were not often different or not like the rest. My name is even uncommon and it always made me get called on or remembered a lot. Sometimes a good thing and sometimes not, lol. I have always been what I call a silent leader. Meaning, I am always silently working boldly on things, creating ideas, envisioning dreams and future goals. Style and design have been my joy for most all of my life, so this month is a favorite for me.
In this issue, we are serving up some local style...from stunning car designs, stylish tennis and pickle-ball apparel (something I really want to get to play soon), a beautiful glamping experience you'll want to try out, fall hair trends and even designing your perfect closet space. We even highlighted some favorite stops around town to pick up antiques, fun fashion statements and beautiful decor for your home in our City List. Shop local first!
For the features covered this month, I wanted to dive into different forms of style. I didn't want to go the traditional route and share only fashion, but go a little deeper and at a different angle. I wanted to introduce you to some incredible businesses serving up lots of style! I hope you enjoy this one and most of all, I hope it inspires you to "rev up" your personal style even more! God made us all unique. Style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality. Be you! And as I always say....This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine! I hope to see yours shining bright all around town!

LIBELLE BEECH SALON UNVEILS FALL FAVORITE STYLES, PRODUCTS AND SUMMER HAIR RECOVERY
As the crisp air of autumn evenings approaches, Libelle Beech Salon is buzzing with excitement over the latest trends and essential care tips for the season. From cozy lattes to transformative haircuts, autumn at the salon promises a refreshing shift in styles.
This year, the spotlight is on versatile hair transformations. “We’re seeing a strong trend towards ombres with soft dimension, butterfly effect layers, and the revival of bangs,” shares the salon’s stylist. “Clients are also loving the timeless appeal of blunt and sassy bobs.”

When it comes to color, there’s a move towards softer, warmer tones. “Lived-in color remains popular, but we’re noticing a shift towards brighter, vanilla or butterscotch-like tones around the face,” explains the stylist. “Cool tones are still in, but clients are craving high shine and a touch of warmth to achieve that luminous effect.”
For brunettes, deep chocolate hues are making waves, ranging from cool dark chocolates to rich milk chocolates with caramel highlights. Meanwhile, strawberry blondes and vibrant redheads are opting for natural-looking ombre styles, blending deeper roots with lighter ends for a low-maintenance yet stunning look.

Transitioning from summer, hair care becomes paramount. “Fall is the perfect time to nourish your hair after exposure to sun, chlorine, and heat,” advises the stylist. She recommends Joico’s Defy Damage Detox Shampoo for its gentle yet effective cleansing, removing build-up and preserving color vibrancy.
The salon’s expertise extends to intensive treatments like the Joico KBOND20 Power Mask, revered for its ability to repair and hydrate hair post-summer. “Our goal is to enhance both beauty and health,” emphasizes the stylist. “With products like Joico Blonde Strong Detangler and our signature Uptown Girl technique, we create transformations that are both impactful and sustainable.”
As clients prepare to embrace the season, Libelle Beech Salon stands ready to deliver not just trendy hairstyles, but a holistic approach to hair care that ensures every visit leaves guests feeling rejuvenated and pampered.

In the world of tennis, where precision meets elegance, Lacey Keally and Lauren Hocker are serving up a game-changer. With over 15 years of collaboration in the luxury media industry, these dynamic entrepreneurs have channeled their passion for tennis into a stylish and functional apparel line: 40-Love.
The pandemic was a turning point for many, and for Lacey and Lauren, it became a time to explore new interests. Tennis emerged as their go-to sport for exercise, socializing, and a touch of competition. As they delved deeper into the tennis community, they recognized a significant gap in the market for women’s tennis attire that was both chic and practical. Driven by this realization, they set out to create a brand that combined classic elegance with modern functionality.
Inspired by timeless tennis icons like Farrah Fawcett from the 1970s, 40-Love marries retro charm with contemporary design. The collection features versatile pieces in classic colors such as navy, white, black, and shades of green. Each item— from skirts and dresses to tops, shorts, and bags—is designed for easy mixing and matching. Their range also includes lightweight sweatshirts and pullovers, perfect for cool evenings on or off the court.
The name “40-Love” pays homage to a key tennis score, symbolizing a strong advantage and the thrill of near-certain victory. It captures the essence of the game, where confidence and style converge for a winning look.
Available online at 40-Lovetennis. com and in select locations including the Tennis Store of Franklin and various prestigious country clubs across the Southeast, 40-Love is making waves in the world of tennis fashion. Follow their journey on Instagram @40lovetenniswear to stay updated on the latest styles and offerings.

PHOTOGRAPHY BY BIG MACHINE MUSIC CITY GRAND PRIX
Rev up Lebanon, another thrilling race legacy is moving to town. Big Machine Music City Grand Prix is preparing for its fourth edition this September with Scott Borchetta, the chairman of Big Machine Label Group now overseeing the event operations, relocating this year to our prestigious Nashville Superspeedway.
Borchetta, renowned for his leadership in both music and motorsports, cited logistical advantages for the shift. With construction underway at Titans Stadium and challenges posed by the downtown course, Nashville Superspeedway offers ample space and enhanced accessibility for teams, businesses, and fans alike.
The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix has quickly established itself as a highlight of Nashville’s entertainment calendar, blending the adrenaline of IndyCar racing with the city’s vibrant music culture. As the season finale for the NTT IndyCar Series, the event promises not just intense competition but also significant economic benefits for Middle Tennessee.
"We are thrilled to host the championship-deciding race at Nashville Superspeedway," remarked Marcus Smith, president and CEO of Speedway Motorsports, underscoring their commitment to enriching the region’s sporting landscape. The move to

an oval track adds a new dimension to the event, reminiscent of Fontana in 2014, the last oval to host a championship finale.
Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell echoed excitement for the festival-like atmosphere and economic impact the Grand Prix brings to our region, while Mark Miles, CEO of Penske Entertainment, expressed anticipation for the dynamic racing Nashville Superspeedway will deliver.
With details on schedules, tickets, and additional attractions forthcoming, racing enthusiasts and local businesses are gearing up for a weekend filled with adrenaline-pumping action. As the countdown to September 15 begins, Nashville prepares to once again showcase its prowess as a premier destination for motorsports enthusiasts worldwide.
