A New Year Rooted in Grace, Intention, and Community
January 2026 PUBLISHER
Jessi Neitzel | jessi.neitzel@citylifestyle.com P U B L I CAT I O N D I R E C TO R
Michelle Numann | michelle.numann@citylifestyle.com SAL E S D I R E C TO R
Some of us step into January with a full heart and some of us step into it feeling a little overwhelmed, unsure of what the new year will bring. January can feel like a deep breath or a tight one; a tender mix of hope, uncertainty, reflection, and the quiet prayer that this year will be kinder than the last. Still, it remains a moment to pause, realign, and gently make space for what matters most. A soft invitation to care a little deeper, dream a little braver, and choose intention over urgency. For me, 2026 is about choosing grace over grind. It’s about slowing my pace, tending to what’s sacred, and living with intention instead of urgency. Less rush, more presence. Less noise, more purpose. That same spirit is woven throughout this month’s Health & Wellness issue. Inside, you’ll meet the driven owner of HOTWORX UTC, bringing a new rhythm to fitness through infrared heat and virtual training that meets you exactly where life is full. You’ll explore how pure air and clean water can transform the very foundation of wellness inside your home. Aspect Wellness shares a restorative, science-meets-faith approach that reminds us healing begins from within. Dr. Rose Lee, with her gentle and steady expertise, shows how a healthy, confident smile can brighten far more than a mirror. And 20 Minutes to Fitness proves that transformation isn’t born in intensity but in consistency, accountability, and honoring the strength God built into every body. Together, these stories remind us that wellness is not a finish line; it’s a daily devotion. It’s hidden in the quiet, intentional choices we make… in the gratitude whispered before the day begins… in choosing faith when fear nudges in… and in surrounding ourselves with people, practices, and spaces that refill our spirit instead of draining it. As we step into this new year, my hope is that these pages encourage you to honor your own definition of health through mind, body, heart, and soul and to also lean into the incredible network of people who make Lakewood Ranch such a life-giving place to call home. May 2026 be a year filled with clarity, courage, and God’s gentle guidance. A year where hope rises, blessings multiply, and you feel truly grounded. Sarasota Memorial Hospital - Venice
INSPIRING HEALTH & GIVING How Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation has helped shape one of the nation’s top hospitals Venice's recently expanded Emergency Care Center (ECC) now has 61 exam rooms, up from the original 28.

As Sarasota County has grown, so too has the need for accessible, high-quality healthcare. For nearly 50 years, the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation (SMHF) has helped meet that demand, supporting Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMH) through philanthropy that strengthens nearly every aspect of care.
Rendering of Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion at Jellison Cancer.
As the hospital’s fundraising arm, the Healthcare Foundation plays a crucial role in helping SMH deliver world-class healthcare to everyone it serves. Its mission is focused and far-reaching: to raise funds that support patient care, technology, clinical education, research, and facilities. Every gift—whether a major donation or a small personal contribution—helps shape the health of our community today and for generations to come. Since its founding in 1976, the Foundation has helped transform SMH from a respected local hospital into one of the nation’s top-ranked health systems. “As our community grows, so does the need for quality healthcare,” said Stacey Corley, president of the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation. “In order for SMH to maintain its ranking as one of the country’s top hospitals, philanthropic support from the community is essential.” That support—millions of dollars raised through individual gifts, community partnerships, and signature events like the Women & Medicine Educational Luncheons that are presented in Venice and in Sarasota— has provided the “margin of excellence” that sets Sarasota Memorial apart. Donor generosity has powered some of SMH’s most ambitious projects: from cutting-edge
technology and clinical research to expanded facilities and specialized patient programs.
BUILDING FOR A GROWING COMMUNITY
One of the most visible results of the Healthcare Foundation’s impact can be seen in SMH’s expansion across Sarasota County. When the community needed a hospital in south county, SMH built one in Venice. When residents of Lakewood Ranch and North Port needed emergency care, the health system opened freestanding emergency centers—and now, a full-service hospital is on the way in North Port. All of it, said SMH leadership, comes down to one purpose: meeting people where they are. That generosity is visible across every SMH campus. At SMH-Venice, which opened in 2021, the need for emergency services quickly outpaced expectations. With community and Healthcare Foundation support, the hospital recently completed a $90 million expansion that more than doubled its emergency room capacity to 61 exam rooms, four trauma suites, a stroke hub, and advanced imaging facilities— all designed to serve the growing South County population. “With these new resources, we are better equipped than ever to meet the needs of our growing population,” CONTINUED > JANUARY 2 0 2 6 | C I TYL I FE STYL E . said Sharon Roush, SMH-Venice campus president. “This milestone represents our commitment to the community and our mission to provide world-class healthcare close to home.” The Venice campus continues to grow, with an $82.5 million rehabilitation pavilion set to open in 2028. The four-story facility will offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, featuring advanced therapy gyms, private suites, and simulated real-life environments to help patients regain independence. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the new SMH–North Port Hospital—a $507 million project that will open with 100 beds and room to expand to more than 200.
HEALING, INNOVATING, AND LEADING THE WAY
The Healthcare Foundation’s support also fuels SMH’s innovation and excellence in specialty care. The Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute, one of SMH’s signature achievements, continues to expand with the upcoming Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion, slated to open in spring 2026. The seven-story facility will provide outpatient cancer services— from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and lifelong support—connected by skybridge to the existing Oncology Tower. “Our vision to transform cancer care truly is becoming a reality with our new facilities, expanded services, and growing multi-disciplinary team of specialists,” said Verinder. “Thousands of local

cancer patients are now receiving world-class treatment and support close to home.” And because emergencies don’t wait, SMH has expanded lifesaving services into new communities, including the freestanding ER in Lakewood Ranch, offering 24/7 emergency care with the same advanced protocols for cardiac, stroke, and trauma as SMH’s main campuses.
A LEGACY OF CARING
At its heart, the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation exists because people here believe that access to great healthcare should never be limited by geography—or by resources. Every donation, large or small, ripples outward, touching lives in moments that matter most. As the Foundation approaches its 50th anniversary, the partnership between philanthropy and medicine remains as vital as ever—a living example of what happens when a community invests not only in hospitals and technology, but in each other.
WOMEN & MEDICINE: EDUCATING, EMPOWERING, AND ENGAGING
Community outreach is central to the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s mission, and one of its signature events is the annual Women & Medicine Educational Luncheon. A Sarasota tradition for more than a decade and now in its second year in Venice, the program brings women together for education, inspiration, and connection with Sarasota Memorial’s leading female physicians. This year’s Women & Medicine – Venice will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Plantation Golf & Country Club. The Sarasota program follows on Friday, March 27, at The Ora. Centered on the theme “Health, Hormones and Happiness,” the event features a candid conversation with experts from Sarasota Memorial Hospital – Venice. Guests can explore wellness exhibits and take part in a lively lunchtime panel discussion. For tickets, contact Sally Schule at 941-374-9700 or sally-schule@smh.com.

W E L L NE S S S TA R T S AT HOME THE NEW STANDARD FOR HEALTH-CONSCIOUS FAMILIES
In a world where wellness trends evolve constantly, one truth remains unchanged: the foundation of our health begins inside our homes. From the water we drink to the air we breathe, our daily environment shapes our long-term vitality, energy, immunity, and overall quality of life. For Sarasota-based owner Clint Stratos of Liquid Tec Solutions, the mission is simple—help families create homes that genuinely support their well-being. With over a decade of experience in advanced home wellness technologies, Clint has dedicated his work to empowering families with cleaner water, cleaner air, and a healthier foundation for life.

A PHILOSOPHY ROOTED IN REAL WELLNESS
“To me, wellness starts at home,” Clint says. “Your environment should nourish you, not challenge your body. When you remove hidden toxins—especially from your water—you give your body the ability to function and heal the way it was designed to.”
His focus begins with water because it influences nearly every biological process: digestion, metabolism, detoxification, brain function, hydration, and cellular energy. When water is pure, structured, and hydrogen-rich, the body responds quickly—often within days.
CLEAN WATER AS THE CORNERSTONE OF DAILY HEALTH
After testing thousands of local water samples, Clint has seen the same pattern again and again: families often assume their water is safe, but the data shows otherwise. Common local concerns include PFAS “forever chemicals,” chlorine and chloramine, pharmaceutical residues, heavy metals, microplastics, and seasonal bacterial variations. His advanced home systems address these issues at the highest standard, by removing contaminants, restructuring water for deeper hydration, and producing hydrogen-rich water backed by more than 1,500 peer-reviewed studies supporting reduced inflammation, improved recovery, and enhanced cellular health. Clients across all ages report meaningful results: • Less acid reflux and digestive discomfort • Easier hydration and increased energy • Reduced inflammation and improved joint comfort • Better athletic performance and recovery • Clearer skin and improved digestion in children • Increased clarity and vitality in aging adults Most families notice changes within 3–7 days, with deeper improvements continuing over several weeks.
WHY SARASOTA & LAKEWOOD RANCH FAMILIES ARE MAKING THE SHIFT
With the area’s unique water challenges—aging pipelines, high chlorine levels, hard water, PFAS detection, and sulfur variations—more families are becoming proactive. Parents are focusing on home-based wellness
to protect their children, support athletes, and strengthen immune systems.
EASY INTEGRATION FOR BUSY LIFESTYLES
Clint’s team provides full-service installation, education, and ongoing support. Systems are low-maintenance, long-lasting, and designed for modern homes. “These solutions aren’t only for people with health issues,” Clint shares. “They’re for people who want to stay healthy. Clean water and clean air are foundational. Your body depends on them before anything else.”
A VISION FOR A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY
Clint’s long-term mission is to reshape how families think about everyday wellness. “We want clean water and purified air to become the standard,” he says. “When a family installs these systems, their home feels lighter, healthier, and more energized. It becomes a place where they can breathe easier, hydrate better, and trust that they’re creating a healthier future for their family.” Ready to elevate your family’s wellness at home? FIVE STAR REVIEWS
SWEAT Smarter The Infrared Fitness Revolution at HOTWORX UTC ARTICLE BY JESSI NEITZEL PHOTOGRAPHY PROVIDED BY HOTWORX
In a world where busyness is the norm and wellness often falls to the bottom of the calendar, HOTWORX UTC, led by Franchise Owner Trenton Langkamp, is redefining what it means to train smarter, recover faster, and feel stronger in less time than a traditional workout. With infrared technology at its core, this innovative fitness studio is helping Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota transform their bodies, minds, and routines in just 15–30 minutes a day. Infrared Fitness: The Science Behind the Sweat “Most people think infrared training is just ‘working out in a hot room, but it’s so much more,” explains Franchise Owner Trenton Langkamp. Infrared energy works from the inside out, warming the body at the cellular level and raising core temperature before movement even begins. The result? Your body starts burning calories, boosting circulation, and activating muscles before the session even starts. Infrared heat enhances every part of the fitness experience: • Increased calorie burn through thermoregulation • Deeper detox from improved lymphatic flow • Faster recovery due to increased oxygenation and reduced inflammation • Enhanced mobility from warmer, more flexible muscles Each workout becomes a metabolic accelerator by delivering powerful results in a fraction of the time.
MEMBER TRANSFORMATIONS THAT INSPIRE
HOTWORX UTC’s Google reviews paint a clear picture: the results are extraordinary. One member shared: “I was skeptical… but after my first CYCLE session, I felt like a brand-new person. Three months later, I had lost over 70 lbs!” Another wrote: “I knock out a high-intensity workout in 15–30 minutes and leave feeling detoxed, energized, and mentally clear.” A third member shared their tracking results through the HOTWORX app: “I’m burning 8,000–10,000 extra calories a

month going three times a week. The variety — HOT YOGA, HOT BANDS, HOT WARRIOR, HOT THUNDER — keeps me motivated.” Members consistently report: • A rush of endorphins instead of fatigue • Faster, easier recovery • A deep, “cleaner” sweat • Better flexibility • Improved mood, focus, and energy Many also experience unexpected benefits such as deeper sleep, reduced stress, mental clarity, and emotional balance. WHERE FITNESS MEETS COMMUNITY
HOTWORX UTC isn’t just a studio; it’s a warrior-built community that thrives on encouragement, accountability, and shared goals. Members celebrate each other’s progress and show up for themselves and for one another. Infrared challenges, member appreciation nights, cold plunges, and B2B community events foster a culture of positivity and personal growth. “The infrared heat transforms your body,” Trenton says. “But the community transforms your mindset.”
FOR THE BUSY, DRIVEN & ON-THE-GO
HOTWORX UTC is designed for the way people actually live today. With 24/7 access, 416 workout opportunities every day, and fast 15- and 30-minute sessions, there is always a convenient time to train whether it is early morning, late night, or squeezed between commitments. SWEAT ELITE members also enjoy access to more than 800 HOTWORX locations across North America, making it ideal for frequent travelers or unpredictable schedules. For those who say they “don’t have time,” HOTWORX proves that time isn’t the obstacle, the method is.
THE HOTWORX DIFFERENCE IN LAKEWOOD RANCH & SARASOTA
HOTWORX UTC stands out for its blend of world-class infrared fitness and genuine local connection. The studio partners with nearby businesses, charities, and wellness organizations, creating a community-centered ecosystem of health and support. Popular offerings include: • SWEAT ELITE Membership — unlimited 24/7 access + 800+ locations • Paid-in-Full memberships for added savings • Special programs for teachers, nurses, first responders & military It’s fitness, community, convenience, and innovation; all under one heated roof.
READY TO TURN UP THE HEAT?
Whether your goal is fat loss, detox, recovery, strength, mental clarity, or all of the above, HOTWORX UTC delivers powerful results through science-backed infrared training and a high-energy community that keeps you consistent. Infrared fitness isn’t just a workout. It’s a reset. A lifestyle shift. A revolution. This is where Lakewood Ranch goes to sweat smarter. Ready to experience the infrared fitness revolution? Why HOTWORX Delivers Results Faster Compared to traditional workouts, infrared training at HOTWORX is more efficient and less stressful on the joints. HOTWORX is especially effective for: Busy parents and professionals Those managing inflammation or joint pain Anyone focused on fat loss or toning Beginners returning to fitness High-performing athletes seeking faster recovery

Dr. Le and Dr. George
The Dual Vision Behind Rose Dental ARTICLE BY JESSI NEITZEL PHOTOGRAPHY BY PHOTO GURU SRQ

At Rose Dental, dentistry is more than a profession, it’s a shared purpose shaped by two doctors with different backgrounds, but the same heart for people. Together, Dr. Le and Dr. Victor George have created one of Lakewood Ranch’s most trusted boutique dental practices, defined by artistry, innovation, compassion, and a level of personal attention rarely found in modern healthcare.
Dr. Le and her husband
“Confidence isn’t just a smile; it’s the trust patients feel when they know we stand firmly behind our diagnoses, our work, and the long-term care we provide with honesty, precision, and heartfelt attention.” Their journeys into dentistry couldn’t be more different, yet they blend beautifully into the philosophy that guides Rose Dental. For Dr. Le, the path began at just 15 years old, working as a nail technician. That early experience taught her precision, fine motor skill, and artistic detail; strengths she later realized aligned perfectly with dentistry. After completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of Florida and a year in pharmacy school, she boldly shifted direction and pursued the field she felt truly called to. For Dr. George, the inspiration was deeply personal. His own experience with braces and jaw surgery opened his eyes to how life-changing dentistry can be. He saw firsthand how the field blends medicine with hands-on craftsmanship, and he knew he wanted to help others feel better through that same combination of science and skill.
Together, they share a unified vision: to create a dental home where every patient feels valued, informed, and genuinely cared for. “When we opened Rose Dental, the goal was to build more than a practice,” they explain. “We wanted to create a dental family — a space where people trust their provider, feel supported, and experience care delivered with honesty, kindness, and connection.” The Philosophy That Sets Rose Dental Apart While their backgrounds differ, their approach to dentistry is perfectly aligned. Both doctors are deeply committed to education, communication, and building confidence in their patients. Dr. George explains it best: “Confidence means standing behind the treatment we know will truly benefit a patient long-term. At Rose Dental, we stand behind every diagnosis, every recommendation, and every result.” CONTINUED >

Rose Dental’s signature experience blends boutique, spa-like comfort with cutting-edge digital dentistry. From same-day crowns to advanced imaging and a meticulously designed patient flow, every step is intentional. Patients describe the environment as warm, relaxing, and unlike anything they’ve experienced before. That is no accident. “Most people don’t naturally feel comfortable at the dentist,” they share. “So we’ve created a space that feels homey and peaceful from the moment you walk in. Clear communication, comfort-focused care, and genuine kindness are the foundation of our approach.” One belief they both wish every patient understood: oral health is directly connected to overall health. Your mouth is the gateway for breathing, eating, speaking and a major contributor to overall wellness, longevity, and heart health. This understanding guides their emphasis on preventive care and comprehensive treatment planning. Their shared goal is simple: Every patient leaves feeling confident, cared for, and connected; excited to come back to a practice that values them.
LIFE, HEART & INSPIRATION BEYOND THE PRACTICE
Outside the office, both doctors lead full and meaningful lives shaped by gratitude, family, and personal passions. For Dr. Le, joy is found in the quiet moments — cooking and unwinding at home with her husband, Dr. Lan Ta, and spending time with their two mini-goldendoodles, Sara and Soda. Her greatest inspiration is her father, whose resilience, work ethic, and sacrifices laid the foundation for her success. His journey from commercial fisherman to nail technician taught her faith, strength, and determination. For Dr. George, fulfillment comes from time with his wife and children. Having lost his own father at a young age, he strives to be the role model he never had — demonstrating responsibility, self-care, and strong habits both at home and at work. His patients might be surprised to learn he grew up hunting and fishing in Oklahoma, hobbies he still loves. And if he weren’t a dentist? He laughs, “I’d probably be a fishing captain. There’s something special about helping someone catch their first big fish.” Both doctors share a deep appreciation for the Lakewood Ranch community. Coming from bigger cities where connection felt diluted, they find the warmth and diversity of this community deeply fulfilling. Through sponsorships like Suncoast Stars, the

VISION, LEGACY & THE FUTURE OF ROSE DENTAL

To Dr. Le and Dr. George, success isn’t measured in numbers, it’s measured in joy, fulfillment, and meaningful relationships. Success at Rose Dental means working alongside a team they love, caring for patients who feel like family, and creating a culture where excellence and kindness coexist naturally. Their legacy vision is clear: To build a dental practice that generations of families trust. A place people rave about. A place team members are proud to work.
A place where patients feel listened to, understood, and truly cared for. Both doctors recall emotional patient moments that shaped their careers, from relieving pain for someone who didn’t know where else to turn, to delivering a new smile that brought tears of joy. These moments anchor their commitment to dentistry and fuel their passion for what they do every day. Looking ahead, they see dentistry becoming increasingly digital, seamless, and patient-centered. They are committed to continually reinvesting in technology and education, ensuring Rose Dental stays at the forefront of modern care. But at the end of the day, what they hope patients remember most is simple: “That we cared about them as a whole person, not just their smile.” JANUARY 2 0 2 6 | C I TYL I FE STYL E . Rooted for Life The Longevity Science of Aspect Wellness ARTICLE BY MICHELLE PARNELL PHOTOGRAPHY BY GULF COAST REALTY MEDIA
During her years in midwifery, Dr. Rachel Smith developed a deep understanding of the challenges women face as they move through midlife, when careers peak, families grow, responsibilities multiply, and the body’s physiology begins to shift. While leading a medical weight management program, she noticed a pattern: many women were doing everything “right,” yet their energy, confidence, and metabolism were quietly slipping away. “I met so many women who felt like strangers in their own bodies,” Rachel shares. “They were smart, capable, and driven, but perimenopause and metabolic shifts were changing the rules. I knew hormonal and metabolic optimization had to be part of the solution.” That realization became the foundation of Aspect Wellness, a concierge medical practice designed for individuals who want more than quick fixes, they want longevity, vitality, and a high-performance life. Rachel blends advanced

medical training with personalized coaching and a luxury-level experience, creating a space where patients feel seen, supported, and empowered. Aspect Wellness offers a comprehensive suite of services, including evidence-based medical weight loss, hormone optimization for men and women, precision lab testing, and high-touch lifestyle and mindset coaching. The practice attracts driven professionals who want to feel strong, focused, and fully alive through midlife and beyond. “With our medical weight loss and longevity programs, we look at the entire physiology,” Rachel says. “We evaluate advanced labs, sleep patterns, stress response, and nutrition. When appropriate, we use FDA-approved medications to support appetite and metabolic regulation— and pair that with structured coaching, accountability, and a customized plan. It’s about transforming how you feel from the inside out.” For many, the result is more than a change in weight, it’s a change in life. Patients report
improved metabolic health, renewed confidence, and the ability to move through the world with more ease, strength, and joy. As vitality returns, so does the freedom to travel, pursue passions, and build a lifestyle that feels deeply aligned with who they want to be. “It’s about designing a body and life that support your biggest dreams,” Rachel says. “None of us get forever, but we do get the chance to optimize the years we have. Through ideal nutrition, strength, stress mastery, and hormone balance, we can create a long, strong, extraordinary middle chapter.” Aspect Wellness is located at 5454 Lena Road in Bradenton. Strong for Life The Longevity Secret of 20 Minutes to Fitness

When former body builder Virginia Phillips first heard of 20 Minutes to Fitness, she was skeptical. However, research and experience proved that following the 20 Minutes to Fitness regime produces solid short- and long-term benefits for people of all ages and fitness levels. Over the last two decades, Virginia has worked with General Manager and co-owner Angela Begin and a dedicated team of Certified Personal Fitness Coaches at 20 Minutes to Fitness to help clients improve their health. By using specialized equipment
“This is a very effective way for people at any age to gain muscle tissue and increase bone density because we follow osteoporosis studies very diligently and take muscles to peak performance using our high-end specialized equipment.’ and techniques that focus on peak muscle performance, clients reverse the signs of aging, increase muscle while burning fat, reverse osteoporosis, improve balance, and experience many more immediate and long-term results. As Virginia explains, it’s best to begin taking care of muscles early in life to avoid the onset of sarcopenia. “Sarcopenia is an
age-related disease that is the result of gradual loss of muscle,” she says. “Without intervention, we can lose an average of 8-10 pounds of muscle each decade. If we’re not doing something to reverse that loss of muscle, we’re going to have serious problems later in life because muscle is the body’s engine, it’s what pulls the blood flow and oxygen throughout all our organs.” Improving muscle health also helps increase bone density, lessening the chance of serious injuries. “What we do impacts our bones and everybody is going to lose bone if you’re not doing something to counteract that loss,” says Virginia. “This is a very effective way for people at any age to gain muscle tissue and increase bone density because we follow osteoporosis studies very diligently and take muscles to peak performance using our high-end specialized equipment. So, we not only work to increase muscle tissue, but when you’re taking it to that peak performance, you’re gaining bone density as well.” The 20 Minutes to Fitness team works with clients of all ages and fitness levels as well as people with medical conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and dementia. “Not only is our team extremely qualified, but they are compassionate,” shares Virginia. “They are dedicated and passionate about helping people and I love watching them care for those they are working with.” 20 Minutes to Fitness makes it easy to integrate the program into a busy schedule, as it only takes about 20 minutes one time a week to see results, is a sweatless workout in a cool environment, and clients can do everything in regular street clothes. There are no contracts or membership fees and sessions are by appointment. During sessions, clients are always under the supervision of a Certified Personal Fitness Coach. To schedule a complimentary orientation and introductory session, visit 20minutestofitness.com or call 941-309-8989. Also follow 20 Minutes to Fitness Florida on Facebook and Instagram.

“WHY DO I FEEL AWFUL EVEN THOUGH MY LABS ARE ‘NORMAL’?”
AND PROVIDED
Across modern medicine, a shift is happening. More patients are demanding real explanations, and more clinicians are rethinking what “healthcare” should actually mean. Leading that shift is Dr. Kyle Gillett, a dual board-certified physician in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine and an expert in metabolic, hormonal, and preventive health. Through his clinic, research, and The Gillett Health Podcast, he’s become a trusted voice for people seeking science-based, rootcause solutions rather than symptom-based band-aids. “Functional medicine is really ‘root cause medicine,’” Dr. Gillett often says. “It’s about asking why the problem exists and not just quieting the noise.” In this Q&A, Dr. Gillett breaks down the most common questions he hears from patients and offers simple, actionable guidance anyone can begin using today.

AN INTERVIEW WITH DR. KYLE GILLETT
The New Frontier of Health
SHBG—which binds testosterone and estrogen—are completely missed. Beyond lab work, there are other factors: mitochondrial health, sleep quality, mental health, and even how sensitive your dopamine and serotonin receptors are. “Normal” labs do not always equal normal physiology for you.
“WHAT CAN I DO RIGHT NOW, TODAY, TO START FEELING BETTER?”
Dr. Gillett: Focus on the pillars of health: diet, exercise, sleep, stress, sunlight, social connection, and spiritual health. Treat them like habits and find ways to make them enjoyable or easy to start. Supplements and medications are supportive tools, not substitutes. Think of them like turbo chargers: they enhance a system that’s already functioning.
A FINAL WORD FROM DR. GILLETT
“The goal isn’t to tell people what to do, rather it’s to give them the information they need to decide what’s best for themselves.” By understanding the why behind your symptoms, labs, and lifestyle choices, you become the driver, not the passenger, of your health journey.
