‘Tis the Season to Be Jolly Holiday Cocktail Recipe As you can imagine, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the our household! I’m a firm believer that you can never have too many lights, garland, or cocktails in your home during the holiday season. With that being said, I wanted to share a super simple holiday cocktail recipe with you. Whether you’re hosting a holiday get together or oversee bringing beverages to Christmas dinner, this recipe is sure to impress. In total, you’ll only need 7 ingredients: Cranberry Juice Canada Dry Ginger Ale Vodka Sugar Lime Juice Cranberries Rosemary Instructions: 1. Rim your martini glass with lime juice and dip your glass evenly into a bowl or plate of sugar. 2. Pour two parts Cranberry Juice into the glass. 3. Next, add 1 part Vodka to your glass. 4. Lastly, top the liquid with three parts Canada Dry for an added fizz. 5. Garnish with a sprig of Rosemary and a stir-stick full of Cranberries. 6. Enjoy!

Staying slope-side on a ski vacation has many advantages, namely the never-ending views of the beckoning white peaks and the conveniences of an on-site basecamp. When that basecamp offers a concierge to help with equipment, rental, tuning and storage, plus a killer spa, gourmet dining options and a celebrated five-star rating, well that’s my kind of vacation. As a skier who avoids the black runs, there was plenty of terrain to explore right outside my suite. The Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole is nestled in a mountain valley surrounded by some of America’s most rugged peaks, celebrated ski runs and an inspiring array of wildlife in nearby Grand Teton National Park. One morning, I rented Nordic skis and hit the trailhead in the Grand Tetons National Park. The sky was brooding. But as my cousin Tom cut the first tracks, I admired Sleeping Indian Mountain to the east, the shrouded Tetons to the west, an endless CONTINUED >

blanket of white behind me, and curls of my own breath ahead. When we looped back, I kept looking over my shoulder, waiting patiently for the clouds to lift and reveal all 13,775 feet of Grand Teton. We were finally rewarded as we tucked into an order of Moose Bread and a hot toddy at Dornans in nearby Moose. The grandeur was not lost on anyone who sidled up to the bar, and it was palpable. Back at The Four Seasons, my aching everything sunk into a soothing milk bath in a private spa suite as a part of the Snow Melt Ritual that continued with a Swedish full-body massage, mask of shea butter with extracts of goat milk and sweet vanilla, an immersive full-body wrap, and foot massage with chai spice and vanilla warming balm. Continuing the therapeutic indulgence, I tiptoed across the heated flagstone pool deck, popped my robe and towel in a heated closet and slithered into one of the three enormous hot tubs with my new best friends. We watched the colorful parade of skiers zip down the mountain and counted our blessings. A stay at The Four Seasons is meant to be as seamless as it is luxurious. The Four Seasons app is like having a concierge on call to text for your every want and need. On the day I reluctantly checked out, I wanted to grab lunch, but hated to leave the Ascent Lounge where I’d posted up to watch the slope action - 13 lifts and 4,139 vertical feet. I used the app to respectfully request a fire in the two-sided fireplace then ordered lunch for delivery, fireside. Voila a Teton Grilled Cheese (arugula, tomato, aged white cheddar, fontina, on country sourdough) and an oat milk latte, served on a white linen-topped table rolled up to my easy chair next to a roaring blaze. Jackson Hole’s downtown is nearby, for fat bike or skate rentals, a hefty Bucking Horse & Rider Wyoming sweatshirt from one of the many boutiques or any cowboy-themed gift. Add in a stop at the National Elk Refuge, National Museum of Wildlife Art and connect with Four Seasons’ own resort astronomer Ryan Hennessy for an evening of stargazing. Yes, downhill skiing is the nectar that draws most people to Jackson Hole, but it’s the attractive lineup of snowy options that make this Wyoming valley so beguiling. FourSeasons.com/JacksonHole

The holidays are the icing on the cake for Atlanta & Company host, Christine Pullara. The sweetheart of Atlanta daytime television, Christine adores time with her family, celebrating traditions and nibbling on her mother’s red velvet cake, made with love and a story. “In our house, it’s not Christmas without my mother’s red velvet cake. She has been making it for decades, and so many friends and family members love it that she makes seven additional cakes for people to serve on Christmas Day. and their daughters, Caroline and Catherine. “She is a warm, thoughtful, generous person and she puts all that love and care into making the most delicious and festive cake.” Violet Pullara started baking for her family and when she found her cake brought joy to friends, she decided to double, then more than triple her recipe so she could make deliveries to special people in her life who meant so much to her. “I’ve had other tasty red velvet cakes before, but there is just that intangible, special something that makes my mother’s stand out from the rest,” says Christine. “It is always delicious and creamy and no matter how full you are after your holiday meal...there is no way you could pass up a slice! I dare you!” This year, Christine and her family will celebrate Christmas with her brother-in-law here in Atlanta, then head to her hometown of Tampa to be with her extended family. Interior designer Diane Johnson helped Christine decorate her newly renovated kitchen this year, adding bright touches of shimmery red and greenery, glittery gold and a traditional wreath. “I love the accents Diane chose, just right for our modern white kitchen,” says Christine. Diane owned a retail location in Johns Creek for more than 25 years. She now works from her new space in the design district of Norcross and consults for interior design projects throughout Atlanta. “Christine’s beautiful neutral kitchen was a perfect palette for Christmas decor and it was a pleasure to work with such a vibrant and positive person,” says Diane. She brought her personal collection of English Cuthbertson Christmas tree plates for Christine’s own red velvet cake and sourced an urn-inspired vase and matching round platter, festive shiny gold deer and filled a curvy oversized glass apothecary jar with red ornaments. “I just love the vibe and now we’re all in the holiday spirit!” says Christine. “I hope you enjoy your holidays as much as I enjoy my mom’s cake!” Join Christine on Atlanta & Company weekdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on 11 Alive, the NBC affiliate. It's Beginning To Sound A Lot Like December

The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra is well known in the North Georgia and Johns Creek community for its spirited and festive holiday performances. This December, the orchestra will return to the stage with vigor and passion as the renowned musicians of Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra perform not one, but two Christmas-themed concerts. A Kids’ Christmas and Christmas Pops are two concert events that the Johns Creek community looks forward to during the holiday season, and the festivities are nearly here. Excited musicians from the orchestra as well as featured performers from around Johns Creek have been practicing hard to bring the community an unforgettable Christmas concert experience. Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra is eager to present A Kids’ Christmas and Christmas Pops as part of its 2022-2023 season. Both concerts will be held on December 17 at Johns Creek United Methodist Church, 11180 Medlock Bridge Road. A Kids’ Christmas will begin at 2:30 p.m. and Christmas Pops will begin at 7:30 p.m. A Kids’ Christmas is a sensory friendly performance that welcomes the non-traditional concertgoer to enjoy classical music in a way that is engaging, fun, and pays tribute to the holiday season. Given the title, A Kids’ Christmas is a concert that primarily caters to children; however, the concert truly is for everyone. This performance is extra special because it is adapted to

be free from “traditional theater rules.” The concert is suitable for children with Autism as well as individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other special needs. The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra has designed this concert to be adaptable for the audience member, and the orchestra invites families to bring headphones and other sensory items that may help the concert be more enjoyable for sensitive individuals. Christmas Pops is perhaps one of the most treasured holiday traditions in the city of Johns Creek. This classic Christmas concert will feature the local folk group, Banks & Shane, as well as the Johns Creek Chorale. The Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra musicians are excited to perform alongside some of the community’s most notable singers, and together, they will put their own spin on the songs of the season to present an elegant and heartwarming performance to the Johns Creek community. Christmas Pops is a concert that is perfect for anyone who wants to delight in the traditional tunes of the holiday season. The concert is sure to bring the true spirit of Christmas to all music lovers. Giving Campaign Now in its third year, the City Lifestyle Giving Campaign will give away $300,000 this holiday season to help individual community members who would benefit from a helping hand during their time of need. But they need YOUR HELP to make it happen! Maybe you know of a single parent struggling to provide, an elderly person who has experienced loss, a child enduring a health issue, a co-worker suffering a sudden, unexpected tragedy or a neighbor with a financial hardship who has fallen between the cracks of getting assistance. Chances are you know someone with a specific need—even if nobody else does. To preserve and protect the dignity of every recipient, the City Lifestyle Giving Campaign is completely confidential. No identities will be revealed or publicized in ANY way. (Even those who nominate others may remain anonymous if they choose.) Last year, City Lifestyle was able to give to more than 70 recipients all over the country by sending checks in the mail through New Year’s Eve. (This year, the goal is to double that number with checks ranging in amounts up to $3,000 each.) With nominations flooding in from community members and leaders such as judges, police officers, teachers, nurses, social workers, mentors and readers like you, we were able to reach people who might otherwise go unnoticed. “We believe in giving back and serving the communities where we live in a real and tangible way,” says Steven Schowengerdt, CEO and founder of City Lifestyle. “This Giving Campaign is all about personally impacting the lives of people we know with an unexpected check in the mail just to say that someone thought of them this holiday season.” Together with Matthew Perry, Chief Sales Officer, Steven adds that the outpouring and gratitude from the recipients was overwhelming and affirmed that this is a tradition they want to continue. “We believe God has blessed our company with continued success,” Matthew adds, “so we in turn want to be a blessing to others.” City Lifestyle has also enacted an internal giving program whereby every employee in the company receives $100 to give away to someone in the community. “The idea is to encourage our employees to keep doing it on their own,” Steven says. “Taking care of one another and blessing others is so rewarding that it perpetuates a cycle of giving. It’s extremely important to me as a person and as a company to foster that culture of generosity.”
