We love our pets. When we asked our friends and advertising partners about their pets, the gush gates opened and the stories filled our inbox. We are thrilled to share a few in this issue. Many thanks to photographer Christy Lee for your patience and good cheer while photographing the pets at Newtown Dog Park. You’ll meet our very own Karyn Slovin’s dog, Mocha. “She is the best companion to snuggle up with and great guard dog for our house. Mocha’s favorite thing is probably sunning on the deck on a lounge chair, like a movie star. And she has a very soft, shiny coat which makes for beautiful photos,” says Karyn, our senior account manager. It’s all about the cats at our house. My husband and (grown) children bring cats

WORK AND WORK CALLS? For an elegant weekend away, look no further than the charming city of Charleston, SC. With so many lovely choices of places to stay in this beautiful city, choosing where to land can be a difficult decision. Perhaps I can make it easier by sharing three exceptional boutique hotels, all very different but each boasting hospitality and unique guest amenities. If you are looking for a charming oceanfront boutique hotel with a West Indies feel, check into the HarbourView Inn. This boutique inn is perfect for families or adults traveling without the kiddos. Breakfast is served to your room every morning or served on the beautiful rooftop terrace with gorgeous views of the ocean and the city. Each evening, wine and cheese happy hour is offered to guests, following later at night with milk and cookies - a favorite of both the kids and adult guests. If you are looking for a true adult getaway with sophistication and your own private butler, The Spectator offers a James Bond meets Duke Ellington feel throughout the property. The Spectator also houses The Bar, a quaint and elegant place for a cocktail before leaving for dinner on the town. The French Quarter Inn is where luxe meets Lowcountry. The spacious guest rooms have rococo-style beds, which I enjoyed. Ooh la la! The property also boasts a beautiful outdoor patio where guests can enjoy early evening wine and

our students in order to check in on them and see how they are holding up without being able to interact with their friends as they would pre-pandemic. We try to be a comforting support system, where our students can speak to us about whatever they might be facing. Because of our close relationships with our students, we are able to help get them caught up to their grade’s reading levels and ultimately succeed in their school work. We are a team of passionate and hard-working high school students from Chattahoochee High School, who are also a part of Student Leadership of Johns Creek. We created The Literacy Initiative as our community project for the leadership program.

Our team is passionate about education and more specifically ESOL education, because each member of our team comes from an immigrant background. This is why we volunteer our time to work with elementary school ESOL kids from Findley Oaks Elementary. We believe our project makes a difference in the community and is aiding in closing the learning gap. Over the last year, The Literacy Initiative team has spent countless hours developing this project, working towards our goal of improving the learning environment for kids by equipping them with useful tools. was amazed at how clean it is everywhere. You can tell how much the people of Alpharetta take pride in their city based upon its cleanliness and pristine landscape. We have been surprised by the kind and friendly attitudes of our neighbors and the people we’ve met so far. Both my wife and I look forward to the sense of community and friendship we have already discovered here. We have a 1-year-old boy whom we’re excited to enroll in various sports and activities and hopefully introduce him to a bunch of new friends! WHAT NEW TOOLS, TREATMENTS, SERVICES, SURGERIES ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT WORKING WITH AT THE GRAIVIER CENTER? The most compelling thing about the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery is that it is constantly changing and improving. There are new devices, technologies and techniques developed almost weekly. This innovation is what keeps me so intrigued with this area of medicine. A couple of recent developments which I am happy to offer my patients include items such as MyEllevate which is a new treatment designed to solve issues regarding the dreaded double chin or excess neck bulging. Similarly, QWO is a new FDA-approved injectable treatment for cellulite (buttocks and thighs) which has been recently added to our practice and has been demonstrating great results. Dr. Graivier has been involved with the studies on this product and has

therapy used to improve ear deformities of newborn children. It takes advantage of the soft and pliable features of infant cartilage before it hardens thereby avoiding surgical correction in the future. Finally, I am happy to provide new re-innervation techniques for breast cancer patients. Previously after a mastectomy, patients were left with insensate skin, however, with new reconstructive techniques involving the use of a surgical microscope and sutures smaller than a strand of hair, we are able to reconnect these nerves and provide sensation back to these areas. WHAT MAKES THE GRAIVIER CENTER SO SPECIAL? The best part about the Graivier Center is the staff. Not only have most of them been with the practice for many years but they are also the best at what they do. When I was searching for a practice to join, I looked for a location where I would be proud to bring my family for care. In addition to a world-class staff, the facilities are top-notch. The layout and patient care areas have been meticulously designed to enhance the patient experience. From the moment you walk into the office, you are surrounded by beautiful art and modern furnishings throughout the facility. We also have fully AAAASF certified operating rooms in the office with separate exits and entrances to provide for the utmost privacy and ease of care.
