LIVING IN STYLE

GREENRIGHT DESIGN

Westfield Lifestyle | September 2020

THIS DESIGN WAS A COLLABORATION BETWEEN GREENRIGHT DESIGN, ANN SCALISI AND THE OWNER BILL STIEFEL, TO GUT AND REDESIGN THIS TWO STORY, 2,700 SQUARE FOOT HOME OVERLOOKING THE CONNECTICUT RIVER. Included in the extensive renovations, the first floor was opened up to alleviate the enclosed feeling of the space and improve traffic flow. The kitchen was completely demolished and reconfigured to include a peninsula for additional seating, farmhouse sink and floor to ceiling cabinetry. The second floor added a fully equipped laundry room and took a claustrophobic master bath and converted it into a luxury suite complete with a roll-in-shower and slipper tub. The jewel of the project comes in the form of a new home theater situated in the once unfinished basement. Extensive use of detailing and a ”stage” gives the theater a nostalgic feel. A food preparation counter with a dorm type refrigerator and microwave and a new lavatory completes the package. PerfectView Remodeling, East Windsor, CT was the general contractor.

Westfield Lifestyle | September 2020

The FADE

+ hard part straight short

thick + curly long

what it is There are many different types of fades, but ultimately a fade haircut is one that tapers in length the further down you go on the back and sides, meaning it isn’t trimmed to just one standard length all around. The level of fade (low, mid or high) depends on what point the shortest part of the hair begins to fade into a longer length. ASK FOR Taper fade, low fade, mid fade, high fade or skin fade

The man bun + what it is This popular style is good for many types of hair as long as you have a lot of it. You’ll need length in the front, back and sides generally long enough to at least brush your shoulders. KEEP IT CLEAN Be sure to keep your sideburns and neckline trimmed even as your hair grows out.

straight short

in between medium

thick + curly long

The quiff

+ what it is Closely related to the pompadour, the quiff haircut requires longer hair in the front and shorter hair in the back. The longer hair in the front is brushed upward and back from the forehead and away from the face. This look can be sleek and shiny for a classic look or texturized and matte for a modern take. ASK FOR Short sides and a long textured top. Be sure enough hair is left on top to brush back instead of standing straight up.
