Even as we send the magazine to the printer, schools are changing plans, protocols, and start-dates. We usually bring you a school round-up in this issue, but administrators were swamped, just coming up for air after a roller-coaster finish to one school year, pivoting and waiting for guidelines for the next. When designing the first Mina & Vine scarf, Brittany and Anita had an important list of features that needed to be included. At the top was the need to blend function with style, something often forgotten with most nursing scarves. The brand was built on the principle that moms shouldn’t have to sacrifice looking good. Practicality can be chic, especially throughout motherhood. “As an entrepreneur, it can be necessary

to reinvent the wheel. Just because a product has been made doesn’t mean it has been made with the right function in mind,” Anita says. “The Mina & Vine nursing scarf is our take on what moms need out of a product that they weren’t getting before. We created our scarf through the lens of what we could do to help a mama out.” As any entrepreneur will tell you, adapting to new circumstances is part of the job. In light of the coronavirus pandemic, Brittany and Anita have applied their commitment to style and function toward creating face masks that give back. Each mask is made with a signature Mina & Vine printed fabric and is reusable, washable, and handmade. “Being a mother means overcoming challenges every day. Over the past several months, we know mothers are taking on the role of caregiver, teacher, and provider, all while worrying about a global pandemic,” Brittany says. “We’re proud to design stylish and functional masks with $1 from every purchase being donated to the United Way COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund.” As Mina & Vine continues to grow, Brittany and Anita say that the core of the brand will never change. Mothers and mothers-to-be will always be at the heart of each product they create. “We hope to continue to solve problems through our products. It’s import-

Also new to the Zoo is Savanna Hall, a state-of-the-art special event destination in the newly restored historic former home of the Atlanta Cyclorama, now housed at the Atlanta History Center. In the renovation of the building, which dates to 1921, Zoo Atlanta undertook meticulous efforts to preserve many notes of its historic past while introducing the structure’s 21st century new chapter: an event experience unlike any other in Atlanta. Highlights include the Michael & Thalia Carlos Ballroom, a twolevel space with sweeping views into the African Savanna; the Delta Savanna Terrace; multi-purpose meeting venues; and more. The African Savanna and Savanna Hall are part of the Zoo’s landmark Grand New View transformation, which also includes a new and enhanced entry plaza. DIRECTIONS 1. Take your cardboard and cut two pieces into the shape of a llama (we found a stencil online). Then, cut strips of cardboard the depth you want your llama to be. You’ll connect these to either side of the llama cutouts to enclose your piñata. 2. Glue your strip of cardboard all along the edge of one side of your llama, then glue to the other side. (Be sure to leave a hole you can close up later so you can fill it with your favorite candy!) 3. Starting at the neck, cover the front, back and sides of your llama with white crepe paper, cutting a slit every half inch or so to create the traditional piñata look. 4. Cover all remaining sides of the neck and head with white construction paper, cut to fit your design. 5. Using construction paper, beads, pom poms, tassels, buttons, etc., add some flair to the rest of your llama! Bonus points for incorporating different shapes and textures into your final product.

THREE MISCONCEPTIONS PEOPLE HAVE ABOUT FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY
EVEN AFTER PRACTICING BANKRUPTCY FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS NOW, I AM STILL AMAZED AT THE MISCONCEPTIONS THE GENERAL PUBLIC HAS ABOUT THE BANKRUPTCY PROCESS AND HOW QUICKLY YOU CAN RECOVER FINANCIALLY. If you file for bankruptcy it will ruin your credit and you will never have good credit again. While bankruptcy will initially lower your credit score, most of my clients are surprised to see that their score will actually increase within 12 months of their bankruptcy case being discharged. You'll Lose Everything In Bankruptcy. If you file for bankruptcy you can rest assured knowing you won’t be left out on the street with nothing to your name other than the clothes on your back. Most property in a bankruptcy filing is exempt and debtors rarely lose anything at all. You cannot file bankruptcy by yourself if you are married: The bankruptcy laws permit anyone to file for bankruptcy, whether individually or jointly. If you are married, you and your spouse must decide if a joint filing is necessary. If one spouse has more debt than the other, they can file individually. SaediLawGroup.com
