is $96,726 annually, according to the report published in January by the financial news and opinion site. That's compared to a median of $59,445 across Pennsylvania. Nationwide, the study indicated the median annual household income is $57,652. The study surmised that the proximity to Philadelphia may be one of the reasons why Chester County's unemployment rate is relatively low, at just 3%. Let's toast these solid trends and hope they continue into future years. We're also enthused this month to share our annual Home-themed edition of West Chester Lifestyle. Valley Forge National Historical Park Hosts Commemorative "March In" On Dec. 19, 1777, the Continental Army marched into Valley Forge for what became a six-month encampment. This "march in" marked the turning point of the Revolutionary War. ONE OF THE MOST FREQUENT QUESTIONS POSED BY CUSTOMERS TO PAUL MCALARY, PRESIDENT AND SENIOR DESIGNER OF MAIN LINE KITCHEN DESIGN, IS: WHAT PERCENTAGE OF MONEY SPENT ON REMODELING KITCHENS CAN BE GOTTEN BACK WHEN HOMES ARE SOLD? Paul says the Return On Investment (ROI) for kitchen renovations is more complex than most homeowners and real estate professionals believe. “The most common misconception is that there’s some approximate percentage that a newly renovated kitchen should bring upon selling a home. Another is that renovating a kitchen in a home that’s already valued higher than most others in the area won’t be a good investment,” he adds. As an internationally recognized authority on kitchen planning who has won more than a dozen local and national kitchen design awards, Paul is a fierce advocate for design standards, ethics and transparency in the industry.

During office appointments, they electronically display kitchens and help customers look through hundreds of sample door styles, plus a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits, the designers provide samples, take measurements and make design changes on laptops, if necessary. 610.500.4071 MainLineKitchenDesign.com

DIRECTLY IMPROVE BUSINESS BOTTOM-LINES AND ENHANCE PEOPLE’S LIVES IS THE PHILOSOPHY OF JEFF ROBINSON, PROPRIETOR OF JR PHOTOGRAPHY. SO HE FOCUSES ON DETAILS AND AUTHENTICITY EACH AND EVERY TIME BEHIND THE CAMERA. “I’ve long been fascinated by three-dimensional space, geometry and the built environment,” he says. With a background in business and handmade arts, he brings a unique and valuable perspective to the images he creates. “I’ve grown this photography business from its humble beginnings primarily by word-of-mouth,” says Jeff. “It’s something I’m very proud of, and I think it speaks to the high level of service I provide my clients.” While Jeff handles the full photography spectrum, including special events and products, he specializes in architectural and landscape photography. “Our photographs capture design intent, structural complexity, and architectural detail to best illustrate each project’s significance. We balance creativity in the appropriate use of lighting, efficiency in choosing the right shots, and the latest in high-resolution digital technology to provide each client with the right images in the most expeditious way,” he says. Jeff achieved FAA certification for drone operations in 2018, which added aerial imagery to his suite of photography services. “The investment we’ve made in new equipment for aerial photography has been substantial, but we can now deliver superb images and video for a variety of clients from this platform.” 215.394.7686 JeffRobinsonPhotography.com
