IS IT SAFE TO GO BACK TO THE DENTIST? A Message from Pediatric Dental Group and Adventure Vision: We want to take a moment today to talk to you about the decisions we have made during the COVID-19 crisis. Since the start of this crisis, our focus has been twofold. Our number one priority was to take care of emergency dental and vision patients in order to keep local emergency rooms available for the people that needed them most. At the same time, our leaders, clinical directors and operators spent countless hours researching, planning and preparing to bring our cherished patients back to our offices in the safest possible way as soon as healthcare organizations and the local government said it was safe to do so. That time is here. And we are ready. Ready to live up to our pledge as healthcare professionals by doing everything we can to take care of our communities. Ready, to take care of the children we serve with the utmost care and compassion and demonstrate our values of integrity and caring for patients first. We are ready to get back to work. The people we serve are so much more than patients to us, they are family. Now, more than ever, we are committed to protecting them by following every recommendation we receive from local and national health organizations. Now that we are OPEN, you will notice some differences in how we operate our offices.
How we are keeping our patients, families, doctors and staff safe. • We will do a brief pre-visit screening before anyone enters the office. • We may ask that patients and parents wait in their car to allow for proper social distancing. • All people entering the office will be required to wear a face covering. • We added hours and days to daily schedules to spread out patients and allow for proper social distancing. • We will be removing all unnecessary items from the reception room and treatment rooms. • In addition to usual sterilization procedures (tools, equipment, chairs), ALL hard surfaces will be cleaned after each patient (door knobs, counter tops, computer screens) • Doctors and staff will wear additional protective gear when treating patients.
We ask you to… • Please give grace as we attempt to navigate these uncharted waters. • Please be patient, we are trying to offer appointments to as many children as possible, as soon as possible, in the safest way possible. • Please send only one person to accompany the minor patient(s) into the office. • Please confirm and attend your appointment. We have a lot of children that need care and your appointment is reserved just for your child. If you do not come to your scheduled appointment, another child misses the opportunity to be seen. • If you believe you are at high risk, you may request a TeleVisit with a provider (dental only) or an appointment at a specially designated time (dental, vision and ortho) for higher risk patients.
We look forward to seeing your beautiful smiles soon! With Gratitude, PDG and Adventure Doctors and Staff

He is also a visiting associate professor at the Oklahoma University College of Public Health. Dart grew up as a “military brat” in cities across the U.S. and Europe. He graduated from high school in Honolulu, Hawaii, and then moved to Missouri to attend Drury University where he received his undergraduate degree. After earning a graduate degree in Health Service Administration from Central Michigan University and a PhD. in Health Services from Walden University, Dart managed health departments in several states before moving to Tulsa to lead the charge at the Tulsa City/County Health Department. “In Tulsa we have risen to the challenge time after time from managing the country’s first Hepatitis C infection at a dental office to our current challenge with COVID-19,” Dart said. Dart hopes to continue the upward trajectory of Tulsa County’s health ranking but is first tackling the Coronavirus.

A sampling of clients includes the Department of Defense, U.S. Army, Space X, American Airlines and the U.S. Airforce. Most recently, RAG has temporarily redirected its attention from aerospace and defense to designing and producing personal protection equipment to help medical professionals who are fighting the Coronavirus.
“ When we understood how the medical suppl y chains were affected by the crisis , we quickl y transformed a par t of the company to develop needed medical supplies and are now leading the nation in designing and producing FDA approved reusable 3D printed face shields, 3D printed replaceable filter masks, and 3D p r i n t e d e a r s a v e r s .” Hill says RAG is also working on developing additional 3D printed items including adapters for hand sanitizer pumps, COVID-19 testing swabs and ventilator splitters. Hill grew up in Kellyville and attended Northeastern State University joining the U.S. Army as an officer. He then earned his MBS through Grantham University. During his time in the Army, Hill served as a UH-60 Black Hawk medical evacuation and maintenance test pilot and conducted 750 rescue and combat missions in Afghanistan. Hill continues his support of veterans through the RAG Friday Foundation, a nonprofit that he and RAG co-founder, Jason Dickman, founded to provide training and direct placement for manufacturing jobs. Hill serves as board president and hopes to see the organization grow in order to improve the quality of the lives of veterans and their families.

tom a. taylor Tom A. Taylor is the chief development officer for Family & Children’s Services (F&CS), a leading provider of behavioral health care and family services for people of all ages in Tulsa and surrounding communities. Taylor is also an adjunct professor for The University of Tulsa and teaches not-for-profit management and marketing. Taylor and his team recently completed a successful capital campaign to build a dedicated center for children’s mental health and trauma services from child abuse. “With the tutelage of CEO Gail Lapidus, we achieved the capital campaign in just under six months due to the generosity of Tulsans, foundations and our board,” Taylor said. F&CS will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2021. “Due to the COVID-19 virus, I believe fundraising will change for years to come. My hope is to encourage those philanthropic givers in our community that our work is not done, and that our services are needed and in fact will be utilized even more in recovering from isolation, stress, fear and even some with PTSD. We raise funds through awareness, but also through our events such as Brainiac Ball, White Party and Care Card – and I want those to all thrive like they have in the past, but in what we recreate in our new normal,” Taylor said. Taylor grew up in Enid and attended Phillips University studying abroad in Sweden for one year. He went on to earn an MBA from Oklahoma City University and moved to Tulsa to take the helm as executive director of Emergency Infant Services, his role prior to F&CS.

RANDY PAGE HAS BEEN A CHEF FOR MORE THAN 35 YEARS. In 2010, he began experimenting with chocolate as a hobby and to flex his culinary muscles. Making artisan chocolates was something special he did for friends and family as gifts for the holidays but quickly evolved into an online business and luxury brand. In 2019, he opened Cricket & Fig Chocolate dessert café in London Square. Being a Chef who has traveled extensively and appreciates the

Customer favorites include Orange Crème, Strawberry, Honey Lavender and Salted Caramels. Exotic selections like Asian Spice, Black Sesame and Mexican Chocolate tempt the taste buds with thrilling combinations usually found in savory foods but are sweet and delicious. Page recommends trying the Cacao Truffle, which is matched with layers of dark truffle filling and a jelly made from the juice of the cocoa pod. Or the Lemongrass Ginger Truffle, one of Page’s favorites, which boasts earthy lemongrass and subtle ginger flavors. Pâte de Fruit, or jellies, are tart and sweet gems made with 100% pure fruit juices or purees. Cricket & Fig jellies such as Concord Grape, Blood Orange, and Cherry Limeade offer an intense flavor that lingers on the palate. For a real treat, try the Raspberry & Roses jelly made from raspberry puree imported from France and a kiss of rosewater, giving it an undeniable floral depth. GIVING BACK
A CAREER IN CAREGIVING AS MR. ROGERS ONCE SAID, “ALL OF US, AT SOME TIME OR OTHER, NEED HELP. WHETHER WE’RE GIVING OR RECEIVING HELP, EACH OF US HAS SOMETHING VALUABLE TO BRING TO THIS WORLD.” John Lewis, who works as a caregiver for First Call in Tulsa, has found his niche with a company that provides health care professionals for both long-term nursing facilities and home health care. Lewis, who has been with First Call for two years, has always had a soft spot for geriatrics. “My grandparents helped raise me and it’s always been important to me to return the favor in some way.” At the age of 16, Lewis enrolled in a CNA program to begin his journey into helping others. “From an early age, I had a lot of real-life experience to make certain this was my calling,” says John. After some time, he took more classes to become an LPN and today is enrolled in school to become a registered nurse. Long term care has most often been thought of as nursing home facilities, but Lewis is quick to point out that there is an array of circumstances where people find they need such care. “It’s really meant for people who can’t meet their needs on their own,” explains Lewis, who adds that someone may just need a place to rehab after a surgery or they could be someone facing end-of-life issues. “People are not my problem, they are my passion.” Challenging is just one of the words used to describe Lewis’ work. And, what most of us refer to as challenging, Lewis prefers the word interesting. “My career requires different skill sets depending on where I am working,” says Lewis. “My first goal is to maintain the reputation First Call has built over the years. I want to set an example.” Figuring out how each facility or residence operates quickly is an important facet to his job so he can focus on patient care.

HELPING THOSE WHO CAN'T HELP THEMSELVES
“ Pe o p l e a r e n o t m y problem, they are m y p a s s i o n .” Getting attached to patients may be considered a pitfall to many, but Lewis deems it as a necessary part of offering the best care he can give. “I never view it as a burden, but rather a privilege to become a part of the patients’ lives. We see so many people who are isolated. They have no family around to oversee their care and it’s an important part of our function to get to know the patients as people first,” stresses Lewis. “I’ve met some fascinating people along this journey. Everyone has a history, and I feel responsible for that,” adds Lewis. While health care in general is one of the fastest rising careers in America, it does come with a fair amount of stress. “I learned early on that while I’m on the job, I give it my all, but once I’m done with my shift, I am careful to take care of myself as well,” says Lewis. Gardening, cooking, caring for his family and taking scenic drives are just a few of the things that keeps Lewis sane. And, while he sometimes is teasingly referred to as Doogie Howser, Lewis feels honored to be a nurse caring for those who need a little extra help. “I’m so proud to work in an industry and for a company where caring comes first.”

Here to Help You Rebuild Your Life® 3 Ways Business Assets Can Be Divided In Divorce Proceedings
Divorce presents many financial concerns, but it can be especially worrying for business owners. Individuals invest more than time and money in entrepreneurial endeavors. They also put in a generous amount of blood, sweat and tears to bring their aspirations to life. With your marriage ending, your business may feel like your center of gravity right now. The worry that you may lose control of it in the divorce may be keeping you up at night. Here is a breakdown of the most common options for dividing business assets. The method appropriate for you will depend on a number of factors, including how much of your business qualifies as marital property, how involved your spouse is in your endeavor and what precautions you took ahead of time. Options for asset division: • Keep the business and buy out your spouse. Unless a prenuptial agreement or other legal contract exists that locks your spouse out of the business, at least some portion of your business is going to qualify as marital property. That being said, the cleanest way
to divide property and keep your business to yourself is to buy out your spouse’s interest. • Sell the business. If you there is no way to buy out your spouse-and working with them as a business partner is not a viable option, you may consider selling the business and splitting the proceeds. Obviously, this is not ideal for someone who wants to continue in the business. But if negotiations do not go as you hope, this is a possible plan B. • Share the business and the income. Peaceful co-ownership is rare but works for some spouses who part amicably. It allows both spouses to benefit from the business in an ongoing capacity. However, this option might include emotional challenges along the way. Spouses with complex assets, like businesses, may have more to lose in a divorce. However, a legal professional can help the individuals involved make the right choices for their futures. On the bright side, business owners also possess
the tools and means to launch a successful new beginning.
