Dr. Weng is a board certified pediatric dental specialist. She enjoys exploring places, near and far, and spending time with family and friends.

ABOUT DR. SCOTT LAWRENCE Dr. Scott Lawrence received a B.S. degree in Math/Biology from Wake Forest University in 1983. He graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1987. Dr. Scott received his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Columbus Children’s Hospital along with a Master’s Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from The Ohio State University in 1989. He and his wife Kathy, have one son, Brent. Dr. Lawrence’s interests include running, swimming, fantasy football and spending time with his family.

GRILLED FRENCHED RACK OF L AMB AND L AMB CHOPS INGREDIENTS + 1 rack of lamb, frenched* or 8 individual lamb chops + 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped + 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped + 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, finely chopped + Freshly ground black pepper + Coarse sea salt or kosher salt + 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (to lightly coat the lamb) *The meat is scraped off to expose rib bones. METHOD 1. In a small bowl, combine the finely chopped fresh herbs. 2. Lightly brush both sides of the lamb rack (or individual lamb chops) with olive oil. 3. Sprinkle the chopped herbs on both sides of the rack or individual chops, season with salt and pepper, cover, and place back in the refrigerator. Marinate for at least 1 hour or up to 3 hours. 4. Remove from refrigerator and allow the rack or individual chops to come to room temperature, about 20 minutes. 5. Prepare the grill so that you will be grilling at a medium to high temperature. (Depending on the type of grill). 6. For individual lamb chops, place them on the grill surface and sear for about 2 minutes then flip the chops and sear for another 2 minutes for medium-rare or about 3 minutes for medium. Serve immediately. 7. For the rack of lamb, place the rack bone side down and grill for about 6 minutes to achieve a nice sear. Flip the rack over and grill for another 6-7 minutes for medium-rare or 7-9 minutes for medium. The actual grill time will vary depending on how large (thick) the rack is. Let the rack rest for about 10 minutes before cutting the ribs straight down in-between each rib bone with a sharp knife. Serve immediately. TWEEDIA LADY SLIPPER Characterized by the slippershaped pouch (or labellum) that sits between the petals, these orchids range in color from white and yellow to a deep pink and purple. The lady slipper might take four to sixteen years to produce a bloom, but itâ€™s worth the waitâ€” in comparison to other, more temperamental orchids, this type can be considered fairly low-maintenance.

This delicate perennial is coveted for its light fragrance and pale blue star-shaped petals. Found commonly in vines and trellises, tweedias are prime for an arrangement as they cut well and last long.

RANUNCULUS Also known as the buttercup, these spring bloomers are coveted for their delicate layers of petals, resembling ruffled tissue or crepe. In a wide range of vivid shades, ranunculus can bloom from late winter to early summer.

NARCISSUS Daffodils are instantly recognizable by their six petals surrounding a trumpet-like corona, most often in variances of white, yellow, or both. The ubiquity of the daffodil dates back to ancient times, both medicinally and botanically. They have been said to get their name because the image of languid daffodils along a stream evoke the image of Narcissus gazing into his reflection.
