A H E A LT H Y BODY BEGINS WITH A H E A LT H Y M O U T H DR. ERIC K. TAYLOR, DDS OF ROCHESTER HILLS AND HIS STAFF TAKE A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO ORAL HEALTH.

12

Birmingham Life | March 2020

WITH OVER 100 YEARS OF COMBINED EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OF ORAL CARE, Dr. Eric K. Taylor, DDS of Rochester Hills and his staff believe that oral health is the gateway to overall body wellness. In other words, if one wants a healthy body, they believe that he or she needs to start with a healthy mouth. “Teeth are really like a circuit board in that each organ is connected to a tooth,” Dr. Taylor’s wife and office manager Donna Taylor said. Whether a patient has missing teeth or teeth that are not functioning well or are deficient, Dr. Taylor’s advanced training gives him the ability to create optimal oral health for them not only in terms of function but also appearance. Dr. Taylor obtained his bachelor’s degree and DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy. After having the opportunity to practice general dentistry for 11 years, he attended the University of Florida and became a board certified periodontist and diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology. He now has more than 30 years of experience in surgically placing dental implants, specifically metal-free zirconia ones, allowing patients to have properly functioning teeth for a higher quality of life. “We’re the only office in Michigan that is trained and qualified to place these Z-Systems zirconia implants,” Dr. Taylor said. “We use solid, one-piece implants that are much stronger than titanium. And the tissue loves them. Plaque doesn’t adhere much to them at all.”

Unlike other design and build businesses, clients will directly speak to owner and operator Joe Sardy, who, in one capacity or another, has been in the remodeling industry for about 30 years. “I oversee every single project and am literally on-site, depending on the project and location, one or two days a week per project,” he explained. “Clients see my face and communicate with me directly. There is no go-between, which is rare. It brings clients a level of comfort.” The next step is to use the team’s expertise to turn clients’ dreams into a design. Finally, the team will then use their expert craftsmanship to create the imagined beautiful and functional space. Birmingham Kitchen and Bath offers an array of services, including kitchens, baths, closets, offices, custom cabinetry, custom remodeling, laundry rooms, mudrooms, countertops, hardwood flooring, tile and stone and more.

+ 1 bay leaf

+ 1 cup heavy cream

+ ¼ nutmeg seed micro planed

DIRECTIONS 01 Cut onion in half and remove outer layer of peel. Stud the onion’s center with cloves and bay leaf. 02 In a non-reactive medium sauce pot, place milk, cream, onion piquet and nutmeg.
