Bringing in September in Style IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN, FOLKS. It's time to put the iced coffee away (who am I kidding, I'll never do that) and start sipping from a mug again. It's time to pull those sweaters from the back of the closet and dust off your old boots. We're sending summer off in style, and what better way to do that than with a celebration of fashion? From local stylist and friend Nisha Evoy to a stunning new eatery downtown, this issue is packed with a little something for every taste. In a city like Asheville, style is perceived in many different ways, and we wanted to appreciate the unique vision some of our Ashevillians possess. I hope you'll find it inspiring and engaging. And I'll see you where the trees are rich in autumnal foliage. Cheers,

WHAT STARTED AS A NICKNAME FROM TONY
DELIA’S

HAS
NOW
BECOME ASHEVILLE’S FAVORITE POSITIVITY BRAND: REVO NICHE. Tony is on a mission to connect and inspire through Revo Niche, and his brand is unlike anything else in the industry. Not only will one of his shirts be your new favorite wardrobe staple because of how comfortable it is, but you’ll also feel inspired every time you wear it and read the words hugging your body. “Our mission is to inspire people to experience and share a deeper meaning of life and positivity for themselves, their community and the planet as a whole,” boasts the Revo Niche site. So, how exactly is Tony creating a brand that is inspiring in a way that hasn’t been done before? Simple. He’s taking the concept of tattoos and their placement on the body and duplicating it on a shirt.

“I combined illustrative art and type and placed the designs on unconventional places on the shirt, so it’s like a tattoo,” he says. It’s meant to be a permanent, positive reminder without being a permanent fixture on the body. And the shirts are beautiful, too. It should come as no shock that Tony has been immersed in the creative world for years. His designs are bold, sleek and unlike any other brand. It’s obvious he enjoys his work, too. “I’m having so much fun. I get to create something completely the way I envision it with my intention,” he says. “I really want to take my creativity to the next level, and not just for myself, but in a way that impacts others, too.” Revo

toward health-minded and heart-centric folks. When you wear Revo Niche, you’re saying you’re here for the planet and for the connections you make with other humans along your journey. His shirts were featured at Asheville Yoga Fest, and he’s made a special design for Asheville Pride. His line is available on the Revo Niche website and through the brand’s Instagram account. Tony is aiming to have a children’s line in the future as well. He’s hoping for a global brand that will bring inspiration to people all over the world. In the meantime, Tony is also interested in collaborating with local businesses that share a similar mindset. When it comes to limiting himself, it’s safe to say he takes the words from one of his shirts to heart: “The only limits that exist are the ones we place upon ourselves.”

LOVING YOUR BODY IN ALL SEASONS
IF YOU LOOK PAST THE SANDALS, CUFFED JEANS AND OLD BAND TEES, YOU MIGHT FIND THAT ASHEVILLE’S FASHION SCENE IS EXPANDING. Among those who are influential in this shift is Nisha Evoy, a local fashion stylist with an eye for detail that accentuates each body style and personality. Nisha has been into fashion for as long as she can remember. Ever since she was a kid, she was dressing up and wearing her outfits with confidence. Her voice is one that is much needed, not only in Asheville but in our society. Nisha is adamant about instilling confidence in her clients, and as we look back at the summer season we’re leaving behind, may we look back at our days in the sun with love for our bodies. One beautiful summer day back in June, Nisha gathered some ladies to have a soiree by the pool and enjoy a confidence-boosting photoshoot. When asked what sparked the idea, she said, “One day I was laying by the pool looking at all the different body types around me, and the thought just popped into my head. All bodies are beautiful: Each freckle, dimple, curve and stretch mark. We all have things we are self-conscious about—things we don’t like or wish we could change. But the fact is we are all beautiful.” And she’s right; fashion and style are about feeling confident and beautiful the way you choose. It’s not about what’s trending, but about who you are and what you want to exude. With swim season behind us and sweater weather ahead, it may seem too soon to think about what you’ll rock at the beach next year. But winter is the perfect time to travel somewhere warm and tropical, and Nisha is ready and willing to help anyone who struggles to feel comfortable in a swimsuit find the right fit and style. “According to studies, swimsuit shopping makes women feel both anxious and depressed. It doesn’t have to be that way, though,” Nisha says. “Let me help you! Together we can pick out the perfect suit that you can conquer the pool and beach in. Rest assured that there is a swimsuit out there that you can feel confident and secure in.” Nisha is also available to help with a complete closet makeover, a style renewal or just some advice for those who struggle with knowing their unique style. To learn more about her, check out her Instagram at @ashevillefashionstylist and be on the lookout for her website, which is coming soon!
