Local Fitness Expert Helps Clients Achieve Personal Health and Wellness Goals

Every January, the scene is the same. All across Hendersonville and beyond, scores of people have resolved to do something about their personal health and wellness situations. For some, the impetus might be losing a few pounds after too many Christmas holiday festivities. After all, mirrors and scales don’t lie. For others, they wish to reclaim the strength and stamina that they have lost from too many hours sitting idly in offices or binge watching television shows at home. They want to break the chains of old habits and begin anew in the months to come. Some fitness seekers choose to chase their health and wellness goals on their own, investing countless hours each year in counting calories and following solo exercise routines. Others prefer to work out in group settings, surrounded by likeminded people. They enjoy sharing their exercise time with others, and they derive motivation from being surrounded by constant sources of encouragement. Whatever the motivation or workout style, the urge to get one’s health and wellness back on track is strong – at least early on. lose interest, and they abandon their wellness goals due to a lack of accountability. Fortunately, there is a solution for the accountability issue – hiring a personal trainer. A personal trainer has the knowledge and experience to guide clients through every phase of their personal wellness journeys. Once overall fitness goals have been defined, trainers can assist their clients with all of their lifestyle change needs, including designing workout routines, scheduling sessions and offering nutritional guidance. They also help provide one essential element – accountability. Recently, Hendersonville Lifestyle spent some time with local trainer Andrew Murray as he put clients Julie Poole and Jeff Stine through their own personalized workouts at the Family Ministry Center at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Andrew has a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, and he has been training clients for over ten years. Like many of his clients, Julie and Jeff have trained with Andrew for several years, and they have achieved considerable success in their wellness pursuits. During her workout session, Julie shared a story about how Andrew helped her work through what could have been a debilitating injury. “A year ago, I injured my Achilles tendon, and I was afraid that I would never get back to normal,” says Julie. “However, Andrew came up with new light exercise routines to help me continue to work out while I healed. Thanks to him, I was able to resume my usual workouts without losing any of my strength and flexibility.” Jeff also offered a strong testimonial for using a trainer like Andrew. “Andrew is the reason that I continue to stick to my fitness regimen,” says Jeff. “He provides the motivation and accountability that keeps me coming to the gym, even on days that I don’t feel like working out.” After his sessions concluded, Andrew offered his advice on choosing a trainer. “Training needs are different for everyone, but most people gravitate toward trainers who provide comfort, time efficiency and specialization in client personal goals. For example, I have a background in handling and preventing injuries, which is important to my clients,” said Andrew. “Ultimately, choosing a trainer depends upon trainer-client compatibility. The right chemistry allows trainers to bring out the best in their clients.”

Healthcare Without The Hassle Local Urgent Care Clinic Offers Premium Medical Services On Your Schedule The greater Nashville area is home to one of the nation’s best healthcare systems. From world class specialists to state-of-the-art medical centers, Middle Tennesseans are blessed to have access to top quality care at home. However, despite our region’s extensive healthcare resources, getting in to see a provider can prove to be challenging. While appointment systems are adequate for routine checkups and follow up visits, they do not meet the needs of patients needing immediate treatment. In order to circumvent the process, some patients choose to go to local emergency rooms to get needed

WHEN DID CARENOW BEGIN?

“CareNow was founded in 1993 as an independent urgent care provider that was later acquired by HCA Healthcare around 2014, becoming a key part of the healthcare giant’s growing urgent care network. Our Hendersonville clinic opened in 2012 adjacent to the Streets at Indian Lake.”

WHAT KINDS OF MEDICAL SERVICES DO YOU OFFER PATIENTS?

“CareNow Urgent Care offers walk-in treatment for common illnesses (e.g. cold, flu, infections and rashes) and minor injuries (e.g. cuts requiring stitches, sprains and minor burns). We also offer physicals (general and school), immunizations and flu shots. Our clinics feature onsite diagnostic services, including X-rays, lab testing and EKGs, as well as occupational medicine services such as drug testing and workers’ compensation evaluations.”

Urgent care provides a fast, cost-effective alternative when primary care is unavailable, and emergency services are not required. Primary care is ideal for routine treatments, chronic condition management and overall wellness, whereas the emergency room is best for potentially life-threatening symptoms, including chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, major trauma or signs of a stroke.” CONTINUED >
