As we approach December, I am filled with gratitude and reflection on the incredible journey I have shared with all of you over the past three years. This month marks my three-year anniversary with Gulf Coast City Lifestyle Magazine, and I want to take a moment to celebrate not just our milestones but the amazing community we have built together.

From the very beginning, working alongside our extraordinary Publisher, Ashley, has been a dream come true. What started as a shared vision and goal has blossomed into something truly special. Through Ashley's leadership and our collaborative efforts, we have brought our stories into thousands of the most affluent homes and businesses in our region. It has been the biggest honor to shine a light on the remarkable individuals and businesses that make our community vibrant and unique.
Our partnership feels like a marriage, one built on mutual respect, creativity, and a shared commitment to loving local, living local, and supporting our community. We've laughed and cried together, covering countless hours of early morning edits and late-night heart-to-hearts. Together, we have created a platform where the voices of our readers can be heard, where your stories can be shared, and where we can all celebrate the connections that bind us. As I write this, I find myself overwhelmed with emotion, realizing just how deeply we are all intertwined as a family.
As we wind down the year and celebrate the joy of the holiday season, I want to remind you to continue loving local, shopping local, and supporting local. Your commitment to our community is what fuels our passion and drives our mission forward. We are here for you, and together, we are stronger.
To Ashley, words cannot express the gratitude I feel for all that you do, for trusting me in this thing called life. Your vision and dedication inspire me every day, and I look forward to what lies ahead. May 2026 be a year of continued growth, both in our business endeavors and in the friendships we cherish within our local community.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey AND our 40th issue! I love each and every one of you, and I am excited to see what the future holds for us all.
Warmest wishes,

The Pro Shop operates from 7 AM to 5 PM, and the course operates from 8 AM to 5 PM, providing ample time for participants to enjoy their rounds.
This is the second year for the Santa Scramble, and it promises to be an even bigger success than the first! Additionally, the event will host a toy drive benefiting the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, ensuring that children in need receive gifts this holiday season.

Gather your friends and family, and help us make this Santa Scramble a memorable day!
Coaching the boys’ team is Coach Wiley McKeller, while the girls’ team is led by Coach Abby Alexander. Both coaches are dedicated to supporting their players and fostering a positive environment for young golfers.

Since its opening in 2015, Resale Heaven has become a valuable resource for families and organizations throughout Baldwin County. I recently had the wonderful opportunity to catch up with Brooke Taylor, one of the board members, to learn more about the fantastic work they’re doing in the community.
Resale Heaven was founded with a mission to help those in need, and over the past ten years, they have made a significant difference. Thanks to the generosity of local shoppers and donors, the store has donated over $800,000 to various charities and organizations from its sales since it opened. With sales in 2025, the organization will top over $1 MILLION in donations, showcasing its commitment to supporting local initiatives that truly make a difference in people’s lives.
Brooke shared heartwarming stories about how funds generated from the thrift store have helped families facing hardships. For instance, they have provided essential resources to local shelters, supported foster families with children in need, assisted educational programs for children, and helped families in crisis. Resale Heaven partners with a variety of organizations, including food banks and educational nonprofits, to ensure that donations reach those who need them most, addressing everything from food security to access to essential supplies.

The thrift store offers a fantastic selection of gently used items that cater to a diverse range of needs. Shoppers can find everything from small furniture pieces and home décor to clothing, jewelry, shoes, and kitchenware. Each visit is an opportunity for customers to discover unique treasures while contributing to a great cause. By giving pre-loved items a second chance, Resale Heaven promotes sustainability and reduces waste, highlighting the importance of mindful consumption in today’s world.
Brooke emphasized the importance of community involvement in the store’s success. Volunteers play a crucial role in daily operations, helping sort donations, manage inventory, and assist customers. This volunteer-driven approach not only keeps operational costs low but also fosters a warm and welcoming environment for everyone involved. The volunteers are local residents who are passionate about giving back to their community, making it a true labor of love.

As we discussed the history of Resale Heaven, Brooke highlighted the significant contributions of two key founders, Glenn Butler and Barbara Bauer. Their dedication and passion for helping others were instrumental in establishing the organization. While they were not the only founders, their influence continues to inspire the board and volunteers today, reminding everyone of the importance of community service and compassion.

Resale Heaven is open five days a week, from 10 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday, making it easy for families to stop by, shop, and donate their gently used items, furniture, and jewelry. This local thrift store is not just a place to find affordable goods; it’s a hub for community connection and support. Each purchase made at Resale Heaven helps fund local programs and initiatives that directly benefit the community, making every shopping trip a meaningful experience.
In a time when many face challenges, Resale Heaven serves as a reminder that we can come together to make a positive impact. By shopping and donating to this local thrift store, you not only discover great deals but also contribute to a larger mission of compassion and support. So, the next time you’re on the hunt for gently used items, consider visiting Resale Heaven, where every purchase helps uplift our community and honors the legacy of its founders. Together, we can continue to make Baldwin County a better place for everyone.

CUSTOM STORAGE SOLUTIONS FOR EVERY FAMILY

For nearly two decades, Inspired Closets Mobile, owned by Steve and Julie Kenney, has been designing and installing custom closets tailored to meet the unique needs of families throughout Baldwin and Mobile counties and the Mississippi Coast. They have extensive local experience designing and installing custom storage solutions since 2006.
With the holiday season upon us, many families are preparing their homes for guests and festive gatherings. Unfortunately, most homes lack dedicated storage for seasonal décor. Inspired Closets Mobile can transform your storage spaces, making holiday decorating a breeze. For example, they recently crafted a custom “Santa” cabinet for a client, eliminating the hassle of wrapping
each Santa figurine individually year after year. Now, these cherished decorations can be easily accessed and stored year-round.
Cooking during the holidays can be a delightful yet chaotic experience. Their pantry solutions help reduce stress by providing ample space for extra ingredients, serving pieces, and cookware. Features like tray dividers for cookie sheets and adjustable shelves for bakeware ensure that everything has its place, allowing you to focus on what matters most: creating delicious memories with loved ones.
As we head into 2026, clients are increasingly requesting special features that elevate their closet experience. Lockable velvet jewelry drawers, integrated fire safes for valuables, streamlined pull-out

mirrors, and integrated lighting are just a few sought-after accessories that blend functionality with elegance.
The custom closet industry is booming, with homeowners seeking personalized storage solutions that adapt to their evolving needs. Inspired Closets Mobile’s collaborative design process, combined with 3-D design and augmented reality tools, empowers clients to visualize spaces that combine both function and beauty, making getting dressed for that holiday party a breeze!
At Inspired Closets Mobile, they believe that a well-organized home fosters joy and peace, especially during the busy holiday season. Let them help you create a functional and beautiful space that reflects your family’s unique style and needs.
